WASHINGTON, D.C.—After suddenly disappearing for a few days, Dr. Fauci returned wearing an odd face mask connecting to metal tubes and covered in blinking lights. The nation's beloved doctor then gave a speech emphasizing the need to deemphasize the needs and rights of the human individual, and instead emphasize the needs of the Borg Collective. "The rights of the individual are superseded by the rights of the Borg Hive," Fauci said in an interview Monday, his voice being only slightly more drone-like and robotic than usual. "We must not fall into the old way of thinking, that humans had individual...

A study released from the University of Calgary this week shows that a drug used to treat critically ill COVID-19 patients has had little to no benefit for women, according to researchers. One of the main treatments for severe COVID-19 lung infections, dexamethasone, alters how immune cells work, and research into the way people’s immune system responds to COVID-19 shows that the sex of a patient might impact the effectiveness of certain drugs, including dexamethasone. The study found the drug may only be benefiting male patients. “We found that the males derived benefit from the steroids and the females, at...

California just hit a new all-time record high for the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline, and some local gas stations around SoCal are charging even more. At one gas station in the Mid Wilshire district, on Monday, a gallon of regular unleaded is $5.99, while a gallon of premium gas is $6.59. According to AAA, the statewide average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $4.68 in California as of Monday.

Voters socked by inflation and underwhelmed by President Joe Biden now favor Republicans in the 2022 midterm elections by a historic margin, prompting predictions of the largest gain in House seats in the modern voting era. The latest Rasmussen Reports survey just out said likely voters favor Republicans over Democrats by 13 points, 51%-38%. The survey found that Democrats are only favored over Republicans among younger voters, black people, Democrats, and liberals. However, there is a huge 20-point gap among independents who would choose a generic Republican over a generic Democrat by a margin of 48%-26%. While the questioning is...

As of Monday, Albertans entering businesses participating in the province’s vaccine passport program will need to show a QR code as proof of vaccination. The change means previous provincial immunization records, including those issued at the time of vaccination and saved from MyHealth Records, will no longer count as valid proof for businesses taking part in the Restrictions Exemption Program. The QR code can be accessed via alberta.ca/CovidRecords , where it can be printed or saved to a phone. A free printed vaccine record with a QR code can also be obtained by calling 811 or visiting a registry...

Brian Sproule squinted against the sun on Monday as he examined the price board at a Chevron station in downtown Los Angeles, where a regular gallon of gas was $6.05. Sproule, 37, is a mobile notary who spends much of his time in his car. He said he’s used to spending about $40 to fill his tank, but by the time he capped off his Hyundai Elantra, the meter displayed a whopping $71.59. “This is absurd,” he said, shaking his head. Gas prices in California are soaring to record levels as the holiday season approaches, combining with supply chain problems...

If Kyle Rittenhouse is found guilty of murder and other charges in connection with the shooting deaths of two protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin last summer, his attorneys will have several issues they can use to appeal, Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax Tuesday. "I will never predict how a jury will come out because I don't know the composition of the jury," said Dershowitz, who has called for an acquittal throughout the dramatic trial, during an appearance on Newsmax's "John Bachman Now." "But I can tell you how it should come out. This should be an acquittal." But,...

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A federal judge has blocked the U.S. Treasury from enforcing a provision of the American Rescue Plan Act that prohibited states from using the pandemic relief funds to offset new tax cuts. U.S. District Judge L. Scott Coogler ruled Monday in Alabama that Congress exceeded its power in putting the so-called tax mandate on states. He entered a final judgement in favor of 13 states that had filed a lawsuit and instructed the Treasury Department not to enforce the provision. The judge left the rest of the law in place. The American Rescue Plan steered $195...

White House press secretary Jen Psaki was heard loudly sighing at a Fox News journalist when he asked why President Joe Biden once suggested Kyle Rittenhouse was a “white supremacist”. Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy questioned Ms Psaki about the president’s past comments during the White House press briefing on Monday. ~snip~ "Why did President Biden suggest that Kyle Rittenhouse, on trial in Kenosha, is a white supremacist?" Mr Doocy asked the press secretary in Monday’s briefing. Ms Psaki paused and could be heard letting out a deep sigh before saying that she would not comment on an ongoing trial...

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Federal regulators have proposed suspending a Trump administration rule that would have allowed railroads to haul liquefied natural gas while they take a closer look at the potential safety risks. The rule, which was backed by both the natural gas and freight rail industries, had already been on hold because several environmental groups and 14 states filed lawsuits challenging it. The federal Pipelines and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration said the uncertainty about the rule also kept companies from investing in the specialized rail tank cars that were required, so railroads haven’t actually handled any shipments of...

Explanation: Where are all of these meteors coming from? In terms of direction on the sky, the pointed answer is the constellation of Gemini. That is why the major meteor shower in December is known as the Geminids -- because shower meteors all appear to come from a radiant toward Gemini. Three dimensionally, however, sand-sized debris expelled from the unusual asteroid 3200 Phaethon follows a well-defined orbit about our Sun, and the part of the orbit that approaches Earth is superposed in front of the constellation of Gemini. Therefore, when Earth crosses this orbit, the radiant point of falling debris...

President Joe Biden's administration should tap into emergency petroleum reserves to lower rising gasoline prices as Americans go into the holiday season, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said on Sunday. "We're here today because we need immediate relief at the gas pump and the place to look is the Strategic Petroleum Reserve," Schumer, a Democrat, said at a news conference in New York.

NOT all our heroes end up disappointing us. Just look at Shane Duffy last Thursday. But many do. It has been a long time since The Stranglers sang about Leon Trotsky and an ice pick but perhaps it needs to be re-released. On some weeks, looking at the sporting landscape, it does feel like there are no more heroes any more. It was so easy to buy into the Aaron Rodgers narrative. The 37-year-old was considered the most erudite and cerebral of all quarterbacks, the most cerebral and important position on an American football field. He guest-presented Jeopardy! He was...

It brings to 21 the number of UK suppliers that have gone bust since the start of September after the price of buying gas on the wholesale market surged. More than two million customers have been affected. The gas market spike has left companies, some of whom did not "hedge" or insure themselves against such fluctuations, having to buy energy at elevated levels while being contracted to sell it much more cheaply to their customers.

There’s no sugarcoating it: The new Post-ABC News poll is a brutal read for Democrats. President Biden’s approval rating is at a new low of 41 percent. Fifty-one percent of registered voters say they’ll vote Republican in the 2022 midterms — the best showing for the GOP in the poll’s 40-year history. The good news is that the poll also provides a screamingly obvious remedy. Perhaps most worryingly for the president, the drop in Biden’s approval rating didn’t come among Republicans or independents, but Democrats — from 86 to 80 percent. The remaining Democratic support is less enthusiastic as well:...

A Los Angeles-based self-identified Antifa member turned self-identified journalist who has been trying to shut down The Post Millennial is revealed to have a history of racism, anti-Semitism, incitement to violence and is the subject of on-going accusations of harassing and threatening behavior in court filings. Additionally, left-wing activist women have accused the militant leftist of predatory behavior. ..... Chad Loder, a well-to-do 45-year-old white male from Redondo Beach, Calif. with a professional career in digital security, has spearheaded a scorched-earth campaign to target this journalist and advertisers on TPM after I tweeted out in September that he was served...
