“But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good” (1 Corinthians 12:7). God wants every Christian to understand spiritual gifts and use his or hers wisely. A spiritual gift is a channel through which the Holy Spirit ministers to the Body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:11). The day we were born again into God’s family, His Spirit distributed to us a spiritual gift. Therefore, having a spiritual gift does not mean a believer is “spiritual.” What we really must ask is, “Is the channel clear?” Hypothetically, someone could have all the recorded spiritual gifts...

WASHINGTON (AP) — A House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection has subpoenaed 11 officials who were involved in planning rallies in support of former President Donald Trump ahead of the violent attack, including one the day of the siege at which the president told his supporters to “fight like hell.” The announcement follows a first round of subpoenas last week that targeted former White House and administration officials who were in contact with Trump before and during the insurrection. The committee said in a release Wednesday that the subpoenas are part of the panel’s efforts to collect information...

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley told Congress that he would not resign after presiding over the Afghan withdrawal debacle and that he saw no reason to. Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller sees it differently and said so in a video that not only got him relieved of his command but also thrown into jail and held incommunicado Scheller felt his superiors should be held accountable for what Milley admitted was a strategic defeat and said so publicly and so far is the only to pay a price. Schiller admits he deserved to be fire and that he...

Impossible Foods, the plant-based meat company, is releasing a long-awaited new product — but unlike the wildly popular Impossible Burger, it won’t be certified kosher. The largest and most influential certifier of kosher products in the world has declined to endorse Impossible Pork, even though nothing about its ingredients or preparation conflicts with Jewish dietary laws. “The Impossible Pork, we didn’t give an ‘OU’ to it, not because it wasn’t kosher per se,” said Rabbi Menachem Genack, the CEO of the Orthodox Union’s kosher division. “It may indeed be completely in terms of its ingredients: If it’s completely plant-derived, it’s...

From last night’s gubernatorial debate against Republican Glenn Youngkin, an … interesting soundbite from the guy on whom the fate of the Democratic agenda in Washington may rest. I don’t know how Democratic parents will react to it but it’s a gift to Youngkin in revving up GOP turnout. Few issues have been as urgent to conservatives over the past 18 months as parental control of their children’s education, from keeping schools open amid COVID to opposing mask mandates to resisting attempts to indoctrinate them with lessons on Critical Race Theory. Now here’s McAuliffe telling them to pipe down and stay...

Phoenix – Former Congressman and Republican gubernatorial candidate Matt Salmon today issued the following statement about President Donald J. Trump’s endorsement in the Arizona gubernatorial race: “I have a great deal of respect for President Trump and the hard work he’s done for our country, but I disagree with his decision today. “The clear fact remains that Kari Lake isn’t a conservative or even a Republican, and she certainly isn’t the MAGA candidate in this race. She is a former registered Democrat who donated to Barack Obama and John Kerry, who refused to support Republicans, and who gushed over Dr....

some point the rest of the world will wake up to see this man is absolutely crazy. Dr. Fauci just moved the goalposts again. In a recent interview with The Atlantic, Fauci now says fully vaccinated means two COVID shots plus on booster shot. It is likely, for a real complete regimen, that you would need at least a third dose,” Fauci told The Atlantic in an exclusive interview. Ed Yong of The Atlantic noted that Fauci has been “bullish about using boosters,” and that he defended the Biden administration’s “decision to talk about widespread availability before the FDA had...

Explanation: Have you ever seen a gigantic jet? They are extremely rare but tremendously powerful. Gigantic jets are a type of lightning discharge documented only this century that occur between some thunderstorms and the Earth's ionosphere high above them. Pictured above is the middle and top of one such jet caught last week by a lightning and meteor camera from Puerto Rico, USA. The jet traversed perhaps 70 kilometers in just under one second. Gigantic jets are much different from regular cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-ground lightning. The bottoms of gigantic jets appear similar in appearance to another type cloud-to-above strike called...

This is the third in a series of articles analyzing the 27-page federal grand jury indictment charging lawyer Michael Sussmann with making a false statement to the FBI. The second article analyzed the indictment’s detailed factual averments that spelled out how Sussmann and others conspired to concoct a false but “plausible” narrative purportedly demonstrating the existence of a secret channel of internet communications between the Trump Organization, owned by Donald Trump, and the Russian Alfa Bank. The article ended at the point where Sussmann was about to meet with James Baker, the general counsel of the FBI. At the meeting,...

College athletes who earn millions for their schools are employees, the National Labor Relations Board’s top lawyer said in guidance released Wednesday that would allow players at private universities to unionize and otherwise negotiate over their working conditions. NLRB General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo also threatened action against schools, conferences and the NCAA if they continue to use the term “student-athlete,” saying that it was created to disguise the employment relationship with college athletes and discourage them from pursuing their rights. “The freedom to engage in far-reaching and lucrative business enterprises makes players at academic institutions much more similar to professional...
