WASHINGTON — Since the Taliban seized the Afghan capital on Aug. 14, more than 82,000 people have been evacuated from Afghanistan in one of the largest U.S. airlifts in history. Here’s a look at where the situation stands: HOW DID WE GET HERE? President Donald Trump signed a peace deal with the Taliban in February 2020 as part of an effort to end what he called the “endless wars” in the Middle East. He agreed to a May 1 deadline to have all troops out of the country. Biden, who says he no longer wants to risk American lives in...

As disgraced outgoing Gov. Andrew Cuomo packed his bags and sent his belongings to his sister’s house in his last days in office, he left something very important behind — his dog. Instead, Cuomo asked staff at his Albany mansion if they want to take care of his dog, Captain, the Albany Times Union reported, citing two state police sources. The sources also told the publication an Executive Mansion worker recently took Captain home but didn’t want to take care of the canine. But the outgoing governor fiercely denied the claim on Twitter — in what will likely be some...

Every serious adverse reaction to the Covid-19 vaccines that medicine regulators in both the USA and United Kingdom have been forced to admit is occurring was predicted by the very same medicine regulators to occur before the Covid-19 vaccines were even rolled out. The following video was released by the US Food and Drug Administration in October 2020, and the person presenting the slides within the video skips past a slide entitled ‘Draft working list of possible adverse event outcomes’ as fast as he possibly can. Skip to the 2 hour, 33 minute 40 secs mark and see for yourself…...

Pfizer has a process to develop variant-specific vaccines just 95 days after identification of the variant, CEO Albert Bourla said. Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said on Tuesday that there will likely be a COVID-19 variant that is resistant to the vaccine, but that his company would be able to get a variant-specific shot out in about three months. "Every time that the variant appears in the world, our scientists are getting their hands around it," Bourla said on Fox News' America's Newsroom. "They are researching to see if this variant can escape the protection of our vaccine. We haven't identified...

All US service members must get their Covid-19 vaccine as soon as possible now that the Pfizer-BioNTech jab is fully approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). More than 800,000 service members out of around 1.4 million still need to get their shots, according to Pentagon data. Those who haven't gotten a shot face a wide range of punishments if they don't, with the most severe being an investigation and court martial. Of active duty forces, 68 percent are fully vaccinated and 76 percent have at least one dose, according to Pentagon press secretary John Kirby. Data is less...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) scolded the two congressmen who traveled to Afghanistan to inspect the disastrous withdrawal, saying the region is not safe after praising Biden for his handling of the war in Afghanistan. Pelosi told reporters Wednesday morning she has yet to speak to the two members, Reps. Seth Moulton (D-MA) and Rep. Peter Meijer (R-MI), since the pair returned from Afghanistan. However, she mentioned “they have to make their own case as to why they went” since making a trip such as the one they did is “deadly serious.”

The police officer who shot dead Ashli Babbitt during the Capitol riot will reveal his identity on Thursday when he sits down for a television interview to explain how the tragic events unfolded. Babbitt, 35, was the only person killed during the insurrection when the officer opened fire as a MAGA mob stormed through the Rotunda. 'Speaking out and revealing his identity publicly for the first time, the officer will share his perspective on the events of that day, including the aftermath of the deadly insurrection and the threats he has received,' said NBC News in a statement announcing that...

...Researchers believe the secretion of the sPLA2-IIA enzyme in COVID-19 patients could be the most important predictor of death in patients. sPLA2-IIA, which has similarities to an active enzyme in rattlesnake venom, is found in low concentrations in healthy individuals and has long been known to play a critical role in defence against bacterial infections. However, when the enzyme circulates at high levels, it has the capacity to shred the body’s vital organs, according to Floyd Chilton, senior author on the paper. Doctor Chilton said: “It’s a bell-shaped curve of disease resistance versus host tolerance.....

If you believe what the Biden Administration says, you'd think that its top priority right now and for the past several months has been to convince the "vaccine-hesitant" to get the vaccine. It has tried so many approaches... enticements through lotteries and give-aways, coercion through name-calling and mandates, public shaming and mockery. You name it, the administration's tried it. And yet, there continues to be a significant portion of the public who remain unvaccinated. You'd think after all those efforts, the Biden team would start looking at its approach and strategy and rethink its plan. Maybe it'd recognize that everything...

One topic the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been reticent to address is natural immunity for those who have recovered from the coronavirus. Of course for messaging purposes, it’s easier to simply say: “Everyone get vaccinated.” Further, government bureaucrats tend to be risk-averse by nature. That’s why it is interesting that on Monday when the CDC raised its travel advisory for Israel to its highest level due to a surge in COVID-19 cases, according to Axios, there was a nod to natural immunity. “If you recovered from a documented COVID-19 infection within the last 3 months, follow all...

Yesterday, Biden announced that he would disregard pleas from the UK, France, and NATO allies, from members of his own party, and from Americans stranded in Afghanistan, and would obey the Taliban's demand that he withdrawal all U.S. soldiers by August 31. What does this mean for the families of San Diego high school students and parents stranded in Afghanistan? At least 24 students from the Cajon Valley Union School District in El Cajon and 16 parents are stranded in Afghanistan after taking a summer trip abroad. While the Biden administration is disregarding the people it stranded in Afghanistan, you've...

Legends Diner in Denton — the restaurant that made national news for a sign threatening to charge customers a fee if they complain about masks — is closing at the end of August 2021. Co-owner Wayne LaCombe says the concerns over COVID-19 and mask-wearing are “too much of a variable right now.” “People just don’t want to comply, and I don’t think they will comply,” he says, looking at the problem from a big-picture sense. “COVID is going to go on for quite some time.” LaCombe and his wife Kat LaCombe, a retired nurse, opened the Denton diner two years...

Skip I am convinced if events continue as they do at present, the nation that prepares for the 2024 election will be unrecognizable. The fiasco that is Afghanistan will have been the least of its problems—merely a symptom of what was to come. Taiwan, a dependable ally, will be lost to the monstrous appetites of a rogue regime, aka Communist China. Russia will have exerted pipeline domination over Germany and middle Europe. The Baltic states will be threatened by re-incorporation into the new incarnation of the “Evil Empire” they managed briefly to escape. Radical Islam will have been gifted with...
