Dozens of California students and parents are stranded in Afghanistan after taking a summer trip to the country.
More than 20 students and 16 parents from the Cajon Valley Union School District in El Cajon, Calif., visited Afghanistan on summer vacation. Now they are among thousands of people who are waiting to leave the country amid the chaotic U.S. withdrawal that has caused political unrest across the nation, according to the Los Angeles Times.
What were these people thinking?
Homo Californensus.

Where else are they going to get the necessary training to produce mass quantities of Opium and Ephdra

I’m sure someone will say, that Afghanistan was under control at the time they planned this trip, so it didn’t raise any concerns about going to that country .
These are not traditional American, if I remember correctly from an article I read, these were Afghani students who were living in the US, who went to their respective families or something in Afghanistan. Stupid move, they should’ve stayed in America if they wanted to be Americans.

Kind of reminds me of those idiots a few years ago who thought it would be cool to go mountain climbing, hiking, or whatever it was in was it Iran?

Liberals believing our State Department that it is perfectly fine to vacation there. Enjoy the pools in Kabul, infidels!
I hope they are okay, but what were they thinking. This wasn’t a surprise.
They need a massive head examination.
Bad place for a vacation.
It’s an interesting place. Many civilizations have crossed paths there, because it was part of the old Silk Road, that is, the route to bring silk from the Orient to the ME and Europe.
Oh well.
If people come here as refugees, and then go back, they should be banned from returning to the US of A.
I'm thinking a key piece of this story was left out, as to what kind of people vacation in Afghanistan...
I know that Ive always wanted to go see Afghanistan..between Disney World and Afghanistan, I know its a tough choice/sarc
If I had to choose between Syria and Afghanistan for my summer vacation, I’d take Syria.
No way in hell would I step foot in Afghanistan. The place has never been safe - ever!
