One topic the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been reticent to address is natural immunity for those who have recovered from the coronavirus. Of course for messaging purposes, it’s easier to simply say: “Everyone get vaccinated.” Further, government bureaucrats tend to be risk-averse by nature. That’s why it is interesting that on Monday when the CDC raised its travel advisory for Israel to its highest level due to a surge in COVID-19 cases, according to Axios, there was a nod to natural immunity. “If you recovered from a documented COVID-19 infection within the last 3 months, follow all requirements and recommendations for fully vaccinated travelers except you do NOT need to get a test 3-5 days after travel unless you are symptomatic. People can continue to test positive for up to 3 months after diagnosis and not be infectious to others,” the advisory reads. The CDC also instructs, “All air passengers coming to the United States, including U.S. citizens and fully vaccinated people, are required to have a negative COVID-19 test result no more than 3 days before travel or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in the past 3 months before they board a flight to the United States.” So three months is the time window the CDC is ready to accept concerning the efficacy of natural immunity for travel purposes anyway.

That guy looks like he could be related to Aaron Judge :-)
So those that have tested positive with Covid19, should be considered the same as vaccinated since they have their own immunity. Right?
ABOUT FRIGGIN’ TIME!
For later.
So far, in my circle and company I have seen this.
Those who had COVID, no reinfections. Vaxed or unvaxed.
Those who did not have covid, several infections. As many vaxed as unvaxed.
Not as serious as last year for the sickness.
Biggest change is “Did you have an active case of COVID?” If have “natural immunity”, no issues. If you didn’t, seems you are going to get it.
Read again. It says 3 months. But it is a chip out of the dam. They can’t keep ignoring natural immunity forever.
They just pulled that number out of their wazoo apertures, just like everything else.
NEVER FORGET: “Two weeks to flatten the curve.”
Good for you and thanks for the fanfare, now you can be one rung above the non.
I don’t think this says what the headline thinks.
The CDC trolls are saying that testing is irrelevant for the recently infected because you can keep testing positive for 3 months. I have my doubts about that as I tested negative within 10 days. Then I had a robust positive antibody result in an antibody test 3 weeks later.
They aren’t really backing off their “vaccine is the only way” mantra. They are just saying it’s pointless to require a test for the recently infected.
So where do you get your “recovered” passport?
My wife and I, both in our sixties, had it before it had a name and survived it without doctor visits or pharmaceuticals.
It was the worst flu we ever had in terms of crap in our lungs.
Took MONTHS to cough it all up, which is the key.
YOU NEED TO COUGH THAT CRAP UP. THAT’S WHAT COUGHING IS FOR.
The worst thing you can do is let them slap you on a ventilator that prevents coughing and prevents getting the crap out of your lungs.
I truly believe if we had gone to doctors they would have done everything they could to kill us in the name of saving us.
In other words Passports don’t have a pressing nature since it is possible to be immune without one.
People have a right to the privacy of their medical history.
million upon millions have likely had covid and survived- we should be close to herd immunity by now-
just another form of vaccine passport.
Agreed! 100% Course the ever power hungry left will demand that people show proof that they had covid IF they even acknowledge that people who had it are protected now- which i doubt they will do even though the CDC now states it-
So do you get a card/ID of some sort saying you’ve survived COVID?
“So those that have tested positive with Covid19, should be considered the same as vaccinated since they have their own immunity. Right?”
Right.
Arguably, better, according to the results from Israel.
Yeah, the 3 months is arbitrary.
The Cleveland study shows at least a year.
