The U.S. federal government should have stopped funding research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in 2015 when China reduced its cooperation with the French in building and operating the lab, according to the leader of an investigation into COVID-19’s origins by the State Department under the Trump administration. In 2015, French intelligence officials warned the U.S. State Department and their own foreign ministry that China was cutting back on agreed collaboration at the lab, former State official David Asher, now a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute think tank, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. By 2017, the French...

Biden has called for taxing capital gains at death as a way to raise taxes on the wealthy and help pay for his social spending proposals. GOP lawmakers, along with business groups and conservative organizations, argue such a move would hurt family-owned businesses and farms… Currently, capital gains are not taxed at death. Additionally, when heirs sell an asset, they have to pay capital gains taxes on the difference between the value of the asset when it was sold and the value of the asset when they received it, not on the difference between the value of the asset when...

Did you know he's pulled all his commercials from Faux News because they wouldn't allow his election fraud ad? I've decided to support him and bought just the one pillow. Figured my current ones are really old and not that great so why not... 50+ bucks for a pillow is a bit steep but who cares if they last forever and are comfortable. They also make great gifts. I would never normally do this but feel compelled to support Mr. Lindell and his business. He is a good guy. The promo code I used to get the discount was Jack...

@RepThomasMassieQuestion for folks planning to take the third shot soon: Do you hope the third shot conveys semi-permanent immunity or Do you believe you’ll need to get a shot every 6 months or Do you believe we can eradicate this corona virus?

“How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you" (Proverbs 1:22-23).

One by one, the four officers who testified Tuesday -- DC Metropolitan Police Officers Daniel Hodges and Michael Fanone, and Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn and Sgt. Aquilino Gonell -- recounted their gut-wrenching stories about how they were attacked and their lives were threatened on January 6. Committee members showed the body camera footage from the officers to illustrate their harrowing accounts. Both the witnesses and lawmakers became emotional at multiple points. Hughes described how he was forced to scream out in agony as he was pressed between the rioters and a metal doorframe. Fanone described how he was dragged...

This may be one of the finest articles about radical leftist propaganda that I’ve ever read. In this episode, I discuss the article and it’s conclusions about far-left propaganda.

Sharing is caring, or is it? One woman in Indonesia gave her blessing for her soon-to-be wedded husband to marry another woman, after the latter turned up unannounced at their wedding ceremony on July 20. Believing what happened to be "destiny", the wife, 20-year-old Nur Khusnul Kotimah said the events unfolded after Yuanita Ruri, 21, went to look for her fiance, Korik Akbar, asking for him to marry her as well. Yuanita is the ex-girlfriend of Korik, 20, and they had known each other since 2016, Harian Metro reported. She had found out about the upcoming wedding through social media,...

Critics bashed a Facebook post by the Oklahoma Republican Party that compared coronavirus restrictions to the Nazi’s persecution of Jews. The post from Friday showed a yellow Star of David patch and called on members to contact the state’s Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell to request he not impose vaccine mandates on employers. The word “Unvaccinated” is shown on the star, similar to those Jews were forced to wear by the Nazis. “Limited access to travel in their State, Province or Territory,” text above the image says. “The bearer may not fly, cannot enter a pub, restaurant, club or theatre. Has...

Investigations of “Heat after Death” Analysis of the Factors which Determine the Tardive Thermal Power and HAD Enthalpy Mitchell R. Swartz∗ JET Energy Inc., Wellesley Hills, MA 02481, USA Abstract This report closely examines the heat energy generated during the discharge period after cessation of all input electrical power to active CF/LANR components (“Heat after Death” or “HAD” energy). This is potentially a very important source of energy because the techniques shown here, can increase the excess energy gain of CF/LANR reactions by at least 410%. In addition, by monitoring both the calorimetry and the Voc, detailed knowledge of the...

As COVID-19 cases surge in Thailand, some Buddhist monks are donning personal protective equipment over their distinctive robes, delivering oxygen cylinders, taking nasal samples to help with testing, and even helping carry the dead to the crematoriums. Thailand is struggling to contain its latest outbreak fuelled by the highly contagious Delta variant, leaving healthcare services stretched and further damaging a battered economy. "There are a lot of Thais who are still ignored by the public health system," Mahapromphong, 33, the deputy abbot of Suthi Wararam Temple in the Thai capital, told AFP. "We take care of everyone we come across."

Ryan Tannehill didn’t leave any doubt about his vaccination status. The Titans quarterback also made it clear he feels the NFL forced his hand. “I’m in the process right now of being vaccinated,” Tannehill said, via Terry McCormick of titaninsider.com. “The NFL has kind of made it clear what they want it to happen. If you don’t fall in line, they’re going to try to make your life miserable with the protocols.” The NFL did not, will not and cannot mandate the vaccine for players. But it has, can and will incentivize the vaccine for players and teams, while establishing...

President Xi Jinping is continuing his pervasive crackdown on anyone and anything that stands in the way of the Chinese Communist Party — the more blood spilled, the better. Beijing this month will impose new laws on Hong Kong and Macau giving the state broader powers for asset seizure, visa denial and deportation against those it says enable foreign sanctions. That’s an answer to increasing US and European sanctions over Xi’s often-genocidal human-rights abuses and piratical approach to trade: Put Western businesses trying to work in China in the crosshairs. The Biden administration just warned US companies that China’s year-old...

At Wednesday’s meeting of the Hamilton Southeastern Board of School Trustees, a discussion about the upcoming appointment to the Hamilton East Public Library Board of Trustees sparked enough controversy that the board took a recess and suspended all further public comments for the remainder of the night. The controversial issue was the upcoming appointment by HSE Board President Janet Pritchett on Aug. 11 to the Library Board. Lilli Hazard spoke, asking that the board find someone who would promote transparency, who would be open, and who would focus on filling the library with age-appropriate material that aligns with values taught...

Peru’s new president Pedro Castillo, 51, deserves credit for vowing to focus his government on improving the lives of the country’s poverty-stricken indigenous population. But his first steps in office raise fears that he will scare away investors, generate capital flight and — after a short-lived populist fiesta — create more poverty. Castillo, a leftist former elementary school teacher who had never before held public office, assumed the presidency on July 28 after winning the runoff elections with a razor-thin 0.3 percent of the vote. He controls only 37 seats in the 130-member Congress. Some hoped that Castillo’s minority in...

It added that "after thorough discussions between French and Chinese technicians, Taishan Nuclear Power Plant decided to shut down Unit 1 reactor for maintenance, and to examine the reasons of fuel damage ....
