‘Magic Kingdom turned into a water park,’ guest said
Rain and theme parks don’t mix, but for some it was the perfect opportunity to continue the fun.
Around 3 p.m. Thursday, a weather system moved over Disney World and the streets around Cosmic Ray Café become flooded, according to photos shared with News 6.

While some guests took shelter from the rain, others, mostly children, decided to enjoy the “water park” that formed inside Magic Kingdom.
Cassie Chase shared photos of children playing and swimming to the Annual Passholders Facebook page, saying, “Magic Kingdom turned into a waterpark!”
When asked if she joined in on the fun, Chase said she just walked through it to get inside, where hundreds were eating and watching the kids play.
By the look of the photos, water was about ankle deep.
Masks?😷
Snorkels?
I wonder what that was doing to the utilidors(basement). anytime you’re in a Florida Disney park you’re on the 2nd floor. Due to groundwater, the “basements” in Disney parks were built at grade and the park was built on top of that.

I wonder what the E. coli (coliform bacteria) count of that floodwater was.

Those would be snakes. 🐍
On the whole, Disney World is an astonishingly clean place, with sanitary sewers and storm water drainage kept rigorously separate. Indeed, the water in the lakes created for the park is monitored and treated so that they do not follow nature's course and become the green fetid swamps that Florida's climate and topography incline toward.
My first thought too was contamination especially in a theme park.
Very cool. Looks fun.
Real opportunity to continually wash your hands, your face.

I had lunch at Cosmic Ray’s on Thursday, just after the rain slowed. I didn’t see that.
Someone in a mouse suit must have been out there pronto to clear the drains.
They’re back.
Overnight, they ran around and put the mask signs back up.
I wonder what the E. coli (coliform bacteria) count of that floodwater was.

Ding ding!
Thank goodness for Governor DeSantis — no masks required. Florida is a free state, for now.
That is very localized flooding, not widespread. It is just one small pond and not particularly deep. Good for kids.
Was the LBTWOQBXM Journey shut down?
