...Since the initial rule book was issued in February, Tokyo 2020 has turned the restriction screws much tighter. Foreigners traveling to the Olympics must now have two negative PCR tests before boarding the plane to Tokyo. They must take a third test on arrival in Japan, which is officially called “Day 0,” and additional tests on days 1, 2 and 3. Saliva-sample spit boxes are positioned throughout the Olympic apron. There are no exemptions for those already vaccinated. Last week duty-free shops were ordered to examine customers’ passports to be sure they haven’t violated 14-day quarantine restrictions. To enforce Covid...

A suspect carjacked an ambulance with a patient inside it around 3 a.m. Friday morning in Democrat-run Houston, Texas. The Washington Examiner reports an EMT was also in the ambulance when it was stolen KHOU-11 notes the carjacking occurred after a man fired shots at the ambulance, forcing the driver to stop. The man then climbed into the driver’s seat, taking control of the ambulance. The EMT was in the back with the patient and suspected something was wrong “because they were no longer heading in the right direction.” Police were able to track the ambulance via GPS and take...

The FBI’s Other Sexual Scandal For those who do not benefit from the FBI’s selective use of its power, the consistent tolerance of child predators (even within its own ranks) calls into question its legitimacy. Cruising the streets of Moscow in his car, Lavrentiy Beria would occasionally direct his driver to stop so he could abduct a girl. As the head of Soviet Russia’s secret police, the NKVD, Beria savored his power to kidnap countless victims who he would rape in a specially constructed soundproof room. In 2011, workers excavating a common grave holding some of his victims found children’s...

Notice how the narrative has changed once again? A few weeks ago it was "we need to reach 70% to reach herd immunity". Now, the newest fear porn: "If we don't get everyone [vaccinated], we'll have more lockdowns" – you know, those lockdowns that didn't work the first (or second) time. Now, in an act of total desperation, "let's all blame the [vaccine] hesitant!".Among the craziest I've heard (paraphrasing): "… due to the unvaccinated spreading the virus. It has mutated and is now infecting the vaccinated, and… and… and…"Hogwash.(Children may be reading). In their ongoing desperation, they are tripping over their...

...the announcement that Jagger and company will try again, at the postponed 2021 Jazz Fest, caught just about everyone by surprise — even members of the Jazz Fest staff and board. Until Thursday, the Stones organization managed to keep secret not just the Oct. 13 New Orleans appearance but the band's entire 13-date fall stadium tour. “There may never have been anything that was so big and so quiet,” said Quint Davis, the Jazz Fest's longtime producer and director. “It’s the biggest band in the world doing an American tour that nobody knew about. And they’re playing Jazz Fest.” ...an...

Sydney (CNN) — Quarantine-free travel from all Australian states and territories to New Zealand will be suspended, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins announced on July 23. The news comes as Australia continues to grapple with a Covid outbreak spreading through multiple states despite lockdowns. "Given the high level of transmissibility of the Delta variant, and the fact that there are now multiple community clusters, it is the right thing to do to keep Covid-19 out of New Zealand," Hipkins said.

I was in a discussion with a friend and he asked if there was a difference between the Covit-19 virus and the Coronavirus. If the two are not the same, which one is the target of the "vaccine?" Not knowing the answer, I said I would present the question to the best deliberators, The FreeRepublic.

Over the past month, Israel, the world's most heavily vaccinated country (with leading mRNA jabs, no less) has seen the number of positive COVID tests has risen by more than 30x as the number of active infections in the country has surpassed 10K.Meanwhile, the Israeli Health Ministry, which has previously estimated the true efficacy of the Pfizer jab against the delta variant at only 64% (while still more than 90% effective at preventing serious illness and death), just released new data purporting to show that while the Pfizer jab is still 88% effective at preventing serious illness, it's only 39%...

The battle over permissible speech in American society was helpfully, and predictably, elaborated by Facebook last week in an update to its “hate speech” rules. The social media giant’s changes are a signal of the new limits being placed on political expression and the freedom of the mind. Other major American institutions are almost sure to follow its lead. Until recently, most online platforms largely defined “hate speech” as speech that could lead to imminent physical harm. But Facebook now demands that its users “not post” speech critical of “concepts, institutions, ideas, practices, or beliefs associated with protected characteristics, which...

July 23 (UPI) -- The Cleveland Indians will rebrand as the Cleveland Guardians in 2022, the team announced Friday on social media. The franchise said last summer that it would start conversations with local community members and Native American groups about a potential name change. The Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) opted Thursday not to investigate coronavirus-related nursing home deaths in Michigan. Michigan, New York, and Pennsylvania enacted controversial policies to placing coronavirus-infected patients into nursing homes to recuperate, effectively spreading the disease among the most susceptible population. Last year, the Trump DOJ attempted to get nursing home death data from Whitmer’s administration, and the governor issued a joint statement with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D). The pair argued there were partisan motivations for probing the large coronavirus-related percentage of nursing home deaths.

Neo-feudalism: The elite is hiding out from the devastation their policies have caused. News that billionaire Google co-founder Larry Page has been hiding out on and buying isolated private islands in Fiji to avoid tourists who aren’t allowed in once again underscores how the elite is using the fallout from the pandemic to segregate themselves from the general public. Page has been living off grid for over a year and forced a state-owned news website to remove an article about his activities that was also de-listed by Google in an apparent effort to conceal his location. “He has spent months...

Ohio Republicans are divided on candidates for the open U.S. House seat, as former President Donald Trump's choice is competing with candidates backed by other conservative leaders, an anti-abortion group and Trump's own former allies. The winning candidate will succeed former U.S. Rep. Steve Stivers, who resigned in May to lead the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Trump's selection for the GOP-leaning 15th Congressional District race is Mike Carey, who was described by Trump's Save America PAC release to "be a courageous fighter for the people and our economy, is strong on the Border, and tough on Crime." Though Trump won...

When his country came calling, Frank Capra had already won three best directing Oscars in five years—”It Happened One Night” (1934), “Mr. Deeds Goes to Town” (1936), and “You Can’t Take It with You” (1938)—and had directed the incomparable “Lost Horizon” (1937) and “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” (1939). He could certainly have rested on his laurels, but he was too patriotic an American not to assist in World War II.Too old to fight on the battlefield, Capra waged his war in the editor’s booth, constructing a series of seven propaganda films known collectively as the Why We Fight series,...
