Sydney (CNN) — Quarantine-free travel from all Australian states and territories to New Zealand will be suspended, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins announced on July 23. The news comes as Australia continues to grapple with a Covid outbreak spreading through multiple states despite lockdowns. "Given the high level of transmissibility of the Delta variant, and the fact that there are now multiple community clusters, it is the right thing to do to keep Covid-19 out of New Zealand," Hipkins said.

Something is up. The world was losing its marbles before this all went down, but not to such an extent. I suspect people are being paid off in exchange for what's being done.

They will have to close their country to ANY travel and kill not only their tourism industry but any business travel ( overseas and interstate ) as well.
What’s this strategy they have? OPEN and CLOSE, OPEN and CLOSE, and repeat the cycle indefinitely?

NZ’s income is sheep and tourism.
Aus has a fair amount of mineral wealth but tourism is their #1.
Its not going to go well for my favorite countries in the world.
New Zealand is a ChiCom Colony.
Surprised me on the volume of Chinese you’d see in Auckland....just a lot of tourists, and a lot of permanent residents (2018 visit).
