The Supreme Court of Canada has ruled that a hospice that declined to participate in administering assisted suicide cannot stay in business. The Delta Hospice Society, located in British Columbia has resisted demands that it must kill its residents if that's what they want done. The Court explicitly rejected the argument that the refusal to participate in terminating a person's life was an allowable option. "Even though there are other fully participating hospitals and hospices that a patient or resident could freely choose, the Government's policy is that assisted suicide is for the collective benefit of all," the Court said....

The Tennessee House voted Monday evening to make the state a Second Amendment sanctuary. The House adopted Senate Bill 1335, which passed last week in the Senate. It “affirms that any law, treaty, executive order, rule, or regulation of the United States government” that violates the Second Amendment is unenforceable. That violation would have to be determined by either the Tennessee or U.S. Supreme Court. Any official that would then attempt to enforce the unconstitutional law would then be subject to ouster. The bill now will head to Gov. Bill Lee’s desk.

Ephraim Gordon, an Israeli citizen from Jerusalem visiting relatives in Baltimore, Maryland, was murdered outside his relative's home Sunday night. Gordon, 31, was in Baltimore to attend a cousin's wedding when he was shot on the doorstep's of his relative's house. Baltimore City Council member Yitzi Schleifer said that surveillance footage showed the suspects trailing Gordon as he parked his car and walked towards the house.
