The howl was loud, prolonged, anguished and animated. Actress Frances McDormand's bizarre imitation of a wolf was comfortably the most surprising and interesting part of this year's Oscars. And although there was a heartfelt story behind it – she was paying tribute to a sound engineer on her movie Nomadland named Michael Wolf Snyder who took his life earlier this year – the howl perfectly encapsulated my own feelings watching the most unwatchable Academy Awards in history.

On Monday afternoon, a detective in Queens was hit over the head with a plastic baton by a man, as he investigated a scene. Akeele Morgan, 25, of the Bronx, was arrested not far from the scene on 39th Avenue, near Prince Street in Flushing, police said.

**SNIP** Nick News, a program that ran from 1992 to 2015 before being revamped in 2020, listed a number of cities with environmental issues. Host Jamie Yuccas said, “What do these cities have in common? They’re all examples of environmental racism, a form of systemic racism where minority and low-income communities are surrounded by health hazards because they live near sewage, mines, landfills, power stations, major roads.” “In Philadelphia, it’s hazardous waste,” continued Yuccas, who also works for CBS News. “In San Carlos, Arizona, it’s a mining project that would dishonor an Apache sacred site. But it has never been...

The first emergence and persistence of continental crust on Earth during the Archaean (4 billion to 2.5 billion years ago) has important implications for plate tectonics, ocean chemistry and biological evolution. This happened about a half-billion years earlier than previously thought, according to new research being presented at the EGU General Assembly 2021.Once land becomes established through dynamic processes like plate tectonics, it begins to weather and add crucial minerals and nutrients to the ocean. A record of these nutrients is preserved in the ancient rock record. Previous research used strontium isotopes in marine carbonates, but these rocks are usually...

The internal investigation by JoeBama’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) serves two purposes. [Memo Link Here] First, it will identify anyone with nationalist outlooks and/or ‘America First’ ideology; in essence it will identify JoeBama’s political enemies (those that didn’t vote for Biden). Second, it will send a chill through the ranks within all DHS agencies to quiet any dissent to the approved leftist approach (the DHS political agenda). This is essentially putting DHS through the same process previously deployed against the FBI during Robert Mueller and James Comey’s terms. Eliminate any and all opposition to the JoeBama agenda.

Americans are being denied access to key information about COVID-19 by unelected bureaucrats who seek to expand government power and control, warned talk show host and author Steve Deace, whose new book “Faucian Bargain” recently topped Amazon’s bestsellers list. “The two main objectives of our health care system—informed consent and second opinions—were denied to us at COVID,” Deace said in an interview with The Epoch Times’ “American Thought Leaders,” adding that much of the data presented in his book has not been communicated to the American public by Dr. Anthony Fauci, who leads the nation’s pandemic response. “For example, if...

Yesterday, at Fred’s Mercantile, a man with no face attacked. He scolded me for not wearing a mask. When I disagreed, he told me that I must not be from around here. He was casting me out of his land. He demanded I stand back from him. I would not. I sunk into my boots and opened my lips like a lion: “I’ve lived here for fifteen years. I dug the irrigation trench at the wildlife sanctuary. I climbed the roofs of the Alpen to install the ski camera. I built the town’s website for tourism. I served the council...

India recently reported over 330,000 new COVID cases in a single day, a new world record. There is a way to dramatically reduce these numbers. The problem is that India, like most countries, has been following the advice recommended by the recognized authorities (NIH, CDC, WHO, and EMA) for how to prevent and treat COVID. This advice is based on evidence-based medicine (EBM), which takes a relatively long time to discover and rigorously validate effective treatments. Today, India doesn’t have the luxury of time. Hospitals are so overloaded now that extremely sick people cannot get in.It’s clear that it is time for...

Two more hospitals in the Philippines have been granted compassionate special permit (CSP) for the use of the antiparasitic drug ivermectin on COVID-19 patients, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said Tuesday. There are now five hospitals that have been issued a CSP for ivermectin, FDA chief Eric Domingo confirmed to GMA News Online. Domingo previously made clear that a CSP is not a marketing authorization, meaning ivermectin cannot be sold commercially yet. A CSP is also not an FDA endorsement of a drug’s quality and efficacy. “[The] concept is you have a patient who is suffering and you don’t...

With vaccine hesitancy rates still prominent across multiple states, public health and government officials alike have been strategizing on the best way to encourage positive sentiment towards the COVID-19 vaccine. Recent Census data reveals that a plurality of people are reticent to get vaccinated due to a fear of side effects. An average of 15.6 percent of American adults report being hesitant about receiving one of the approved vaccines. Francis Collins, Director of the National Institute of Health (NIH), went on NBC News to assure people that there is “no comparison” between potential risks versus the benefits of being vaccinated...
