The Hamilton healthcare partners continue to make progress in vaccinating members of the community. We are pleased to announce that to date, we have administered approximately 167,529 doses of COVD-19 vaccine – with 29.8% of Hamiltonians over the age of 16 receiving a vaccine to date.
To increase vaccine accessibility to those who are disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, Hamilton Public Health Services is prioritizing Black and other racialized populations/people of colour beginning with serving those ages 18+ and live in postal codes L9C, L8W, L8L, L8N and L9K for COVID-19 vaccination.
While COVID-19 vaccine supply is limited, it remains crucial that the limited supply is targeted to those most at-risk to make the biggest possible impact. From social and demographic data collected by Hamilton Public Health Services, nearly half of all COVID-19 cases in Hamilton (47%) self-identify as a member of a racialized community but racialized people make up less than a quarter (19%) of Hamilton’s total population.
Hamilton Health Partners are working closely with Black and other racialized community leaders to determine how best to provide vaccines to community members across Hamilton. In partnership we will:
provide ongoing clinics in community-identified locations.
expand options for registration and booking to improve access, including direct booking for Hamilton COVID-19 vaccine clinics through the Public Health Services COVID-19 Hotline.
continue collaboration with community groups/leaders and community health centres to support access to clinics.
launch the Community Ambassadors program to build trust and confidence in the COVID-19 vaccination.

I live 10 minutes south of Hamilton - was born and raised in Hamilton. It is the armpit of Ontario. Uber left and it shows. It’s your typical dem American city - dirty, poor and woke.

On a more serious note, how can I get racialized? It seems like a great idea, front of the line for the experimental maybe it works maybe it doesn’t vaccine, and guilt trips on demand.
You know what’s going to happen, of course, these vaccines will be deemed faulty or defective and the racialized communities (or the politicians who make a living being their mouthpieces) will claim this was all a plot by white supremacists to kill off people of color.
I’m not very anxious to take part in this experimental program myself, so not clogging up the lines despite my very advanced age giving me first shot at the lottery.

I have never been a staunch pro-lifer, and in general am repulsed by the idea of abortion, but with whats going on with these “people” and their behavior, I am actually opening up to the idea of it more.

I have no problem with people confronting a direct attack on themselves with deadly force but for my soul’s sake in the hereafter I can never allow myself to think any form of extermination for any other human can be acceptable.

Let me clarify that I am not talking about capital punishment. If a person commits a crime that has a capital punishment attached to it, that’s on them. People make their choices in life.
