The howl was loud, prolonged, anguished and animated.
Actress Frances McDormand's bizarre imitation of a wolf was comfortably the most surprising and interesting part of this year's Oscars.
And although there was a heartfelt story behind it – she was paying tribute to a sound engineer on her movie Nomadland named Michael Wolf Snyder who took his life earlier this year – the howl perfectly encapsulated my own feelings watching the most unwatchable Academy Awards in history.

I find it well and good to see Korean filmmaking receive its due with Parasite last year and Minari this year — and find Chinese-born film director Chloe Zhao to tell American stories better quite competently. She has been creating buzz since before Nomadland. Not woke pandering in these instances.
It’s a stinking, rotten shame that we get fairly decent coverage of America by the UK Daily Mail and not our own media.
They should have their own channel here in the USA

Brits compare the Daily Mail to America’s National Enquirer. Just the other day I published a DM story in my local Facebook group about how Spain is going to allow Brits to travel there but they will require vaccine passports and I was told not to “trust anything that comes out of that rag.”
Nomad movie was best picture of the year. It is nothing but Chinese hegemony. The CCP is crowing about how they are making Americans eat dirt and die. The outrage in Ohio several years ago about sheetrock imported from China. It smelled so bad the houses were all re sheet rocked by the builder. Bad quality sheet rock imported from China. The expense of importing sheetrock from China was less than the expense to make it in Ohio or anywhere else in the USA apparently. This is why US Gypsum went out of business, not because of low demand as stated as the supposition of the movie plot, but because of no future due to slave wage competition. Union wages drove US Gypsum out of business. Lack of demand described at the beginning of the movie is a movie writers idea of reality, no future for an American company is the reality crushing the USA by China, inc. The Chinese Communist Party bought the USA lock stock and barrel and the USA sold out. That’s all.
Nobody is “due” anything.
There are over a hundred countries out there, all with some pretty good movie industries. How many awards has Germany, France, The Netherlands etc won recently for example?
And how many American movies have won any awards in Korea lately?
Not even close.
Liberalism always consumes itself. The trick is to avoid the nation getting consumed as well.
A friend had a table business for 15 years, about 100 employees. Ten years ago, a Chinese company stole his design and started selling for half price. He went under.
Yikes!!! That is a monumental collapse. Well earned by the Hollyweird “elite”.
An older sister of mine is an avid movie watcher. Her and a daughter of hers usually try to see every Oscar nominated movie, before the Oscars.
What she had to say about this year:
1. A large number of the nominated films were just barely out and some not even in movie theaters or pay-per-view yet.
2. So many of the nominated films are just depressing.
The Oscars would have a dull uber woke event no matter what this year, because so much of what Hollywierd offered was dull and depressing.
When DH was in the Physics program at Berkeley in the ‘70s, he was surrounded by Chinese, including his roommate. They steal EVERYTHING and cheat on EVERYTHING. They don’t think it’s wrong. It’s their right as the “supreme” people of the world.
If they are so darn supreme, why do they have to cheat and steal everything created by others? It reminds me that so many top leaders of the German “master race” were a bunch of ugly, out of shape, unaccomplished-prior-to-Nazi-life losers. A real master race for sure. They were just big enough thugs and criminals to seize and keep power for a short time.
I saw a twitter post saying it doesn’t matter they lost money on poor viewership of the oscars, because they make up the money in so many other ways.

Did they bother to provide any examples of fake stories out of DM, or did they make that comment simply because they don’t like DM covering news that American networks now REFUSE to cover - like whites getting the crap beat out of them in our cities, simply because they are white?
