A NYPD detective was hit over the head with a stick in a brazen daytime attack, as a leading police union branded the Big Apple 'the city of violence' while attacking Mayor Bill de Blasio over a 257 per cent spike in shootings.

On Monday afternoon, a detective in Queens was hit over the head with a plastic baton by a man, as he investigated a scene.

Akeele Morgan, 25, of the Bronx, was arrested not far from the scene on 39th Avenue, near Prince Street in Flushing, police said.

There should be a rising of decent Americans giving out their own street justice to these thugs.

I know that's what they've been pushing us towards.

They want us to fight back so they can throw good decent people in the prisons that they've unpacked.

But damnit its way past the time to fight back.

If you don't carry a gun get you some brass knuckles or a beat stick like the police and carry it around with you.

Do like fry pan man and bring a small iron skillet (or whatever size you can wield) with you.

Don't be a victim.

BTW, the officer from my link above has been ID’d. 42 year old dad with 2 young kids.

The perp was drunk and driving with a suspended license.

That’s how seriously NYS treats drunk driving.

Wait til more pot heads get behind the wheel after we legalized weed.

If you think getting drunks off the road is tough, you ain’t seen nuthin yet.
