Biden's Presidential Press Secretary Jen Psaki called the police shooting of a knife-wielding black teenage girl "yet another example of systemic racism in this country." The incident originated from a dispute about household tidiness that escalated into a situation where one black teen was attempting to stab another black teen in the driveway of a home. "The problem with the police is that they use violence to intervene in violent circumstances without giving a thought to the cultural norms of the persons involved," Psaki said. "It is a cultural and historic fact that household violence is much more common among...

A Georgetown law student confronted Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Thursday about "court packing," redefining the term to demand why Cruz was opposed to efforts by Democrats to expand the number of justices on the Supreme Court by four. Cruz was speaking at a news conference with Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) in front of the Supreme Court about a Democratic bill to expand the number of justices on the Supreme Court from nine to 13. The senator from Texas accused Democrats of making a "power grab." "You didn't see Republicans, when we had control of the...

'Amoris Laetitia' family portraits: Sometimes messy, but grace-filledSometimes the Catholic Church has “proposed a far too abstract and almost artificial theological ideal of marriage, far removed from the concrete situations and practical possibilities of real families,” Pope Francis wrote in his 2016 exhortation, “Amoris Laetitia.”And too often people thought that because the church had an ideal for the family, it meant the church was for ideal families only.“Of course, there aren’t any perfect families, and Pope Francis says this in effect in ‘Amoris Laetitia.’ The reality of a man and a woman is an imperfect reality, but they can perfect...

The Department of Justice is exploring whether to file additional charges against former Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin for a 2017 incident where he allegedly beat a Black teenager so badly he needed stitches, reports ABC News. Chauvin, who was seen on video pressing his knee to Floyd's neck for more than 9 minutes, on Tuesday was found guilty of all counts he was charged with, including second-degree murder. Bodycam video of the incident shows Chauvin striking the 14-year-old’s head with a flashlight after he wouldn’t comply with officers. Chauvin then allegedly held the boy’s throat and "applied a neck...

The United Methodist Church, the third-largest Christian sect in the United States, took another step toward schism over their longstanding debate on LGBT issues when theological conservatives recently unveiled their plan for a new denomination. Known as the Global Methodist Church, it was the product of the 17-member Transitional Leadership Council, a group of theologically conservative United Methodists. The Wesleyan Covenant Association, a conservative United Methodist advocacy group, announced the launching of the GMC on March 1, explaining that it will not officially begin operations until a formal separation policy is approved by the UMC. “Theologically conservative United Methodists have...

The chief US expert on the Covid-19 pandemic, Anthony Fauci, has said that the "dire situation" that has now arisen in India after it initially seemed to have avoided the worst impact shows that no country is safe from a global pandemic, and climate and youth are not protections against it. Fauci said at a White House briefing on Friday that early on, when lower- and middle-income countries didn't have as many infections, "people would say, 'Maybe there's something special about climate .. What this (surge) is telling us -- in Africa and in India -- (is) that when you...

Lawmakers in Britain and Australia have moved to ban “conversion therapy,” supporting laws that may criminalize everyday practices common to Christian churches around the world. While LGBT activists — and most Christians — have rightly condemned the historic abuses of “conversion therapy” in the past, modern sexual orientation change efforts (SOCE) involve patient-directed talk therapy, not “shock therapy,” and the laws in Britain and Australia may criminalize preaching, counseling, and even prayer. Some activists and lawmakers in Britain have vocally demanded nothing less. One activist called for legal attempts to “deal with” the “pernicious power of prayer.” A member of...

In 1760, Charleston, in what is now South Carolina, faced what was to become known as the Great Small Pox Epidemic. In a city of 8,000 people, most of whom had no immunity, smallpox spread during the early months of 1760. The Charlestonians' response was superior to the modern world's response to COVID. Most importantly, Charlestonians did not overreact, although smallpox posed a more serious threat than COVID. While COVID, on average, kills 2% of those who are infected, with the elderly and people with comorbidities at the greatest risk, smallpox killed 33% of those infected, regardless of age or...

LeBron James apparently deleted a tweet in which he posted, "YOU'RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY" with a picture of police officer Nicholas Reardon, who shot Ma'Khia Bryant, who is on body cam video brandishing a knife within a foot of another Black person (the one in the pink outfit). This underscores the accuracy of what the student who was forced out of "canceler" Hardin-Simmons University posted about Black Lives Matter. If Bryant had succeeded in killing the other Black woman, the latter would be just one more anonymous crime victim as opposed to a useful martyr to the Cause. If Hakim Littleton, who...

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) - Does Arizona have a border crisis? Gov. Doug Ducey and some border sheriffs say yes, but other border sheriffs say no. Some have even said "no thanks" to Gov. Ducey deploying the National Guard to the border. There's a divide right down the middle of Arizona's four border counties. Two of them are welcoming the National Guard assistance, and two of them are refusing any help.

Democrats have a way of revealing themselves and their agenda, any time one of their truisms are just a tiny bit challenged. So no surprise, they opposed a hand-recount of the 2020 voting ballots in Maricopa County, Arizona, which includes large or at least well known cities such as Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, and Mesa. The vote went to Joe Biden.Somehow, they didn't want them recounted.According to the Washington Post:Senate leaders have said the process is intended only to explore ways to improve the state’s elections, rather than to cast doubt on Biden's 10,457-vote victory in Arizona over Donald Trump. But the...

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs is asking Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich to investigate potential violations of Arizona law over the Senate's audit of ballots cast in Maricopa County in November 2020. Her letter was shared on Twitter Friday. Hobbs response is following an investigation from Arizona's Family on Thursday regarding security issues at Arizona Senate's election audit at the State Fairgrounds. Secretary of State Katie Hobbs "Local reporting yesterday made it clear that Karen Fann and her Cyber Ninjas have not implemented sufficient security to protect the integrity of election equipment and ballots," Hobbs...

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — President Joe Biden has formally recognized that the systematic killings and deportations of hundreds of thousands of Armenians by Ottoman Empire forces in the early 20th century were “genocide” — using a term for the atrocities that his White House predecessors have avoided for decades over concerns of alienating Turkey.

VIDEOIf the Democrats and their media allies were absolutely confident in the validity of the election results you would think they would welcome an audit (not a mere recount) of the ballots in Maricopa County, Arizona because it would validate their claims. Instead they are acting very very nervous about the audit to the extent that they are desperately trying to smear the audit before it even begins.

Gracie Laney thought she was going to win her heat in the 4x200 meter relay last weekend in Logan, Utah. The Logan High School senior was all alone in the final stretch on the track while anchoring her relay team. The win was hers. What she didn’t account for, however, was a late entry into the race. A dog, after breaking away from her owners who were sitting on a hill, sprinted down onto the track and quickly claimed the race for herself in hilarious fashion.

Police in Portland, Oregon, declared a riot in the northwest part of the city late Friday night after rioters began smashing windows, tagging graffiti on buildings and broke into a restaurant. A resident who was filming the mayhem had a rock thrown through his window by a rioter, police said. The unrest came after Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler extended the state of emergency in the city through the weekend over possible continued unrest, according to FOX 12 of Oregon. The Portland Police Bureau said the planned protest that had been billed as an "autonomous demonstration." It started around 9 p.m....

After a Norfolk, Virginia, police officer was fired for donating $25 to Kyle Rittenhouse’s legal defense fund when a hacker-connected group gave “breached” data about anonymous donations to the media, the Christian crowdfunding site that processed his donation is now collecting donations for him. Distributed Denial of Secrets (DDOS), which the Department of Homeland Security deemed a “criminal hacker group,” obtained the email addresses of anonymous donors to various crowdfunding campaigns on the site GiveSendGo, an alternative to GoFundMe that allows people to send prayers or money to people. The Guardian, a British newspaper, used the data to dox rank-and-file...

I have a few thoughts about the current racial unrest being unleashed throughout this amazing country. The carnage from sea to shining sea is sad to watch and perplexing to observe. First. Last summer, during a televised riot, a white male, dressed in black from head to toe and carrying an umbrella was observed spray-painting BLM on the exterior walls of an auto parts store. It was not raining. The man was not only defacing the building, but he was also intentionally breaking windows outside the store with a hammer. He seemed bent on a senseless mission to destroy. A...

After a stint at the Obama Energy Department, Steven Koonin reclaims the science of a warming planet from the propaganda peddlers. For the record, Mr. Koonin agrees that the world has warmed by 1 degree Celsius since 1900 and will warm by another degree this century, placing him near the middle of the consensus. Neither he nor most economic studies have seen anything in the offing that would justify the rapid and wholesale abandoning of fossil fuels, even if China, India, Brazil, Indonesia and others could be dissuaded from pursuing prosperity. Any reader would benefit from its deft, lucid tour...
