How a Physicist Became a Climate Truth Teller. (You can read the article)

After a stint at the Obama Energy Department, Steven Koonin reclaims the science of a warming planet from the propaganda peddlers.

For the record, Mr. Koonin agrees that the world has warmed by 1 degree Celsius since 1900 and will warm by another degree this century, placing him near the middle of the consensus. Neither he nor most economic studies have seen anything in the offing that would justify the rapid and wholesale abandoning of fossil fuels, even if China, India, Brazil, Indonesia and others could be dissuaded from pursuing prosperity.

Any reader would benefit from its deft, lucid tour of climate science, the best I’ve seen. His rigorous parsing of the evidence will have you questioning the political class’s compulsion to manufacture certainty where certainty doesn’t exist. You will come to doubt the usefulness of centurylong forecasts claiming to know how 1% shifts in variables will affect a global climate that we don’t understand with anything resembling 1% precision.

His book lands at crucial moment. In its first new assessment of climate science in eight years, the U.N. climate panel—sharer of Al Gore’s Nobel Peace Prize in 2007—will rule anew next year on a conundrum that has not advanced in 40 years: How much warming should we expect from a slightly enhanced greenhouse effect?

Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What It Doesn’t, and Why It Matters by Steven E. Koonin | May 4, 2021

I’ll ask the obvious question. If the temperature rose by one stinking degree over the last hundred years, and may rise another lousy degree over the next hundred years, SO WHAT?

Any “science” has been washed a way in a sea of political agenda, gross lies and green-religion

Just this week, Biden “set a target” for the USA to reduce carbon emissions by half by 2030. It was pure stupidity and political sloganeering. Even if it was a worthy goal (its not), its is completely and utterly impossible without shutting down 1/2 the US economy. Whoever told him to say it knows its complete BS — but there it is nonetheless.

If the temperature rises one degree, the government needs to take away our liberties.

If the temperature falls one degree, the government needs to take away our liberties.

If the temperatures stays the same, the government needs to take away our liberties.

We _get_ it.

It isn’t even about the temps. It is about micromanagement and taxes. So it really doesn’t matter as you say. Not even to them.

Nobody believes in climate stasis (or at least nobody should, since the climate has changed continuously over both recorded history and geological time).

So if the climate is always changing, then global temperature has got to be changing as well, all the time, which means over any extended period of time (like 100 years), it’s got to be going up or going down (with a lot of random up/down noise during the interval in question).

I always ask the climate change alarmists which should it be - global warming or global cooling - and how do they know. They never do know.

Whoever told him to say it knows its complete BS

It’s not BS to that person. That person is fully invested, financially, on making money off the shutting down of 1/2 the US economy. Gore, and everyone else in this scam, has a financial interest in all of this. Whether it’s investments and/or ownership in “green companies and technologies” or getting paid off by the same, it’s all about the money.

The issue is, they aren’t making the money fast enough or in the amounts they want, so they’re using the power of the government to force it down our throats so they can pad their bank accounts. Nothing more.

If it were any different and they really cared, Gore, et al would be walking and riding bikes everywhere instead of flying on private jets.

"Man-caused" climate change is nothing but a bunch of BULLSH&T!

Ice boring evidence going back over 300,000 years show the earth's climate changes constantly up & down & up & down, etc......

But once again it's something for liars to make money off of!

When the Obamas sell their Martha’s Vineyard ocean front mansion, then maybe I’ll worry. https://www.thelist.com/226127/inside-barack-and-michelle-obamas-beautiful-marthas-vineyard-estate/
