The cause of Foley’s death is under investigation by the Ohio Department of Health and the coroner’s office.Foley was found Sunday by his roommates. There is no evidence that his death is related to the Johnson & Johnson shot — which was paused in the US this week over ties to blood clots.

One of the GTA's largest property developers says it was "extremely inappropriate and entirely unacceptable" that workers associated with one of its dry wall contractors had a stripper at a job site last week in the middle of the pandemic. Mattamy Homes confirmed photos of the incident that had been posted on Twitter showed several people involved with Nelmar Drywall, all of whom have since been fired, partying with a stripper at one of its job sites on April 9. Nelmar itself has denounced the conduct of the workers and says it's taking steps to make sure it doesn't happen...

The brutal violence of Islamist militants in northern Mozambique is “driving the local population from their homes in terror,” the Barnabas Fund reported Friday. “What they do to the people they capture and kill I have never seen anywhere in Africa,” said one witness cited by the Barnabas Fund, a charity monitoring and assisting persecuted Christians. The ongoing violence has led to the displacement of some 750,000 people in the Cabo Delgado province where the militants operate, or a third of the local population, the report added. Because of the crisis, nearly a million people in northern Mozambique face severe...

The study, which examined white liberals, moderates, and conservatives, both male and female, found that conservatives were far less likely to be diagnosed with mental health issues than those who identified as either liberal or even “very liberal.” What’s more, white women suffered the worst of all. White women, ages 18-29, who identified as liberal were given a mental health diagnosis from medical professionals at a rate of 56.3%, as compared to 28.4% in moderates and 27.3% in conservatives.

Former President George W. Bush has renewed his call for bipartisan immigration reform – including a way for people who came here illegally to 'earn' citizenship through a 'gradual process.' Bush made his immigration pitch – where he also called border security a potential area for agreement – as he released a new book that imbues his appeal with a humanizing portraits of immigrants. During his time in office Bush backed 'comprehensive immigration reform' legislation that never made it through the Senate – and continues to push bipartisan efforts to an issue that has become one of the most fiercely...

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Friday that Moscow will order 10 U.S. diplomats to leave Russia in a retaliatory response to the U.S. sanctions. Lavrov also said that 8 U.S. officials will be added to its sanctions list and move to restrict and stop the activities of American nongovernment organizations from interfering in Russia’s politics. While Russia has a possibility to take “painful measures” against the American business in Russia, it wouldn’t immediately move to do that, he added.

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- Authorities are investigating after a group of undocumented immigrants were found during a traffic stop in Chandler. Video from the Arizona Department of Transportation cameras showed about a dozen immigrants on the shoulder of Interstate 10 and Ray Road. DPS troopers and Chandler police officers were on the scene while the group who entered the country illegally sat on the side of the road. This immigration stop happened less than a mile away from a hotel where ICE is housing some migrants. While the two scenes are very close to each other they are not related....

The European Union is very unlikely to renew its Covid-19 vaccine contracts with pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, a French minister said on Friday. Denmark this week banned the use of AstraZeneca jabs over blood clot concerns, just as the EU said it was expecting 50 million Pfizer vaccine doses earlier than expected. No final EU decision had been taken, French Industry Minister Agnes Pannier-Runacher told RMC radio, but “it is highly probable” that no further AstraZeneca doses would be ordered for 2022. “We have not started talks with Johnson & Johnson or with AstraZeneca for a new contract, but we have...

An asinine Bloomberg op-ed suggested that maybe it’s best if people who lost energy jobs under President Joe Biden’s eco-extremist agenda don’t get the new green jobs he falsely promised at all. Bloomberg Opinion Editor Mark Gongloff’s op-ed was headlined, “Our Single-Minded Drive to Create Jobs Has Its Drawbacks.” Gongloff’s sub-headline was just as ludicrous: “On some issues, including green energy and immigration, an absence of American jobs can be a good thing.” The story led off with two assumptions that were just awful: “Maybe we don’t actually want green jobs [to rectify for the fossil fuel jobs Biden is...

Today the Florida Senate passed the Combating Public Disorder or the Anti-Riot bill by a vote of 23 to 17 and it is heading to the Governor’s Office to be signed into law. The bill requires a person arrested for unlawful assembly, riot, and certain offenses committed in furtherance of a riot or aggravated riot, to be held in jail until he or she appears for a first appearance hearing and a court determines bond. Proponents believe this provides a “cooling off time” so rioters are not just let right back out into the unrest. Critics say it puts a...

The Philadelphia Police Department is ending its use of a youth gun education program created by the National Rifle Association following immediate blowback over the gun rights organization’s involvement. Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw had announced police officers were using the “Eddie Eagle” curriculum to teach children about guns in city rec centers, as part of the Kenney administration’s larger anti-violence unveiled Wednesday. Studies found the 33-year-old gun safety program to be ineffective, and the NRA has used it to argue against new gun regulations, Billy Penn reported this morning. Gun safety advocates and city leaders pushed back. CeaseFire PA gathered...

Approximately 5,800 fully vaccinated Americans — out of 66 million who received the shots — still became infected with COVID-19, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data reported Thursday. The infections, dubbed breakthrough cases — or positive test results that occur at least two weeks after a person gets their final coronavirus vaccine dose — represents about 0.008 percent of Americans who are fully vaccinated... The federal agency found 29 percent of breakthrough infections were asymptomatic, while 7 percent led to hospitalization. So far, 74 people have died from breakthrough infections — but it’s not clear which vaccine...

Torrance Stephens, PhD Probably the most vivid memory of my childhood was in 1968. This was the day Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. My mother, who was one of the only Black executives at a Hospital in the city called home to give us the news. She said that Dr. King was dead and that he had be taken to the hospital where she worked (Saint Joseph Hospital) in a Colonial Bread Truck because they feared racist democrats of the day would attack the ambulance in which he was supposed to be transported in. That was the first...
