I have seen news reports that the Chinese are worried about the manliness of their soldiers and this parade seems to confirm their fears.

There are 100,000,000 more men than women in China. Actually, it's "only" about 30M. But it might as well be 100M, as almost all of the imbalance is in the 0-24 age group. 25 years of murdering babies because they are female has left China with an unlimited pool of disposable military age single men.
