The path to progress is definitely not paved by destroying the epistemological framework bequeathed to us by the Enlightenment. Yet it is important to understand why many young people are more attracted to social justice-based decolonization demands than to Enlightenment era intellectual advancements. Social justice ideology appeals to young adults’ desire to establish their identity, independent from their parents, and an ideology that represents itself as subversive is compelling. Also, as young people become aware of injustices, they are understandably captivated by a movement that represents itself as the most righteous way to advocate for justice. For these reasons, it...

White House adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci told MSNBC on Sunday it's "still not" acceptable for Americans to eat indoors, even after they've received the COVID-19 vaccine. His comments come after he and other government experts have seemingly moved the pandemic goal posts for some time now. "Drinking indoors, restaurants, and bars. Is that OK now?" host Mehdi Hasan asked the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director. "No, it's still not," Fauci said. "For the simple reason that level of infection, the dynamics of infection in the community are still really disturbingly high." Fauci said there were 80,000 new...

Men were falling away from church life. As sedentary life was becoming an industrial revolution norm, due to advances in technology and improving economic mobility, religious leaders introduced sports, fitness, adventure, and social justice as way to reconnect boys and men to the church. This explains the partnering of church life with the YMCA, the Boy Scouts, outdoor camps, and enlisting men in the Social Gospel Movement. As Clifford Putney explains in his book, Muscular Christianity, by 1899 women comprised three-quarters of Protestant church membership and nine-tenths of its attendance. Recent studies on gender disparities in American churches report that...

The NCAA, which regulates college athletics in the U.S., backed transgender athletes Monday, saying it won’t hold championship events in locations that aren’t “free of discrimination.” As Republicans in more than two dozen states target transgender athletes, the NCAA Board of Governors said it "firmly and unequivocally supports the opportunity for transgender student-athletes to compete in college sports." It said its "more inclusive" policy for transgender athletes, which requires testosterone suppression treatment for transgender women to compete in women's sports, means “inclusion and fairness can coexist for all student-athletes, including transgender athletes, at all levels of sport.” The board said...

Rumors are rife that Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will turn control of the Vancouver International Airport over to Communist China this week. Count on Canadian mainstream media, who won’t be reporting on it, tagging all rumors as “conspiracy”. In a bold move, United Airlines declared that “diversity is at the forefront” of its pilot program and pledged that 50% of their new 5,000 pilots will either be women or people of color. You have to admire the insanity of that plan because it is so incredibly stupid that you know a liberal was involved in its conception. I can just imagine the meeting at United that birthed the concept of making flight deck diversity Job #1. Scotty woke up one morning and wanted to make some changes. Scotty: “Does anyone have an idea of how to destroy United?...

Sen. Ted Cruz said Americans and Israelis will be murdered as result of the Biden administration’s decision to send hundreds of millions of dollars to Palestinians. On Wednesday, the White House announced it would provide $250 million to Palestinians, despite the Taylor Force Act that prevents U.S. taxpayer dollars from supporting the Palestinian Authority while it pays stipends and pensions to terrorists and their families. “We’re sending American taxpayer funds to the Palestinian Authority so they can fund terrorists and as a result of Joe Biden’s decision, Americans will die. Israelis will die. This money that Joe Biden is sending...

That’s an additional five counties compared to last week, when the Wolf administration said 45 counties showed substantial transmission of COVID-19. The positive test rate rose to 9.5% for the week of April 2-8, which represents a slight increase from 9.4% the previous week. It is the fourth straight week the positive rate has risen, but the uptick is much smaller than in previous weeks. At...

The Biden administration is taking a page out of former President Donald Trump’s book, striking an agreement with the Northern Triangle countries to militarize their borders in an effort to curb the migrant flow. Speaking to reporters during her daily briefing, White House press secretary Jen Psaki discussed the agreement hours after a Biden administration official had confirmed it. “So, Mexico made the decision to maintain 10,000 troops at its southern border, resulting in twice as many daily migrant introductions,” the top White House spokeswoman said. “Guatemala surged 1,500 police and military personnel to its southern border with Honduras, and...

Dr. Anthony Fauci relayed the reality of “breakthrough” coronavirus infections — infections occurring in individuals who were vaccinated for the Chinese virus — on Monday, explaining it is seen with other vaccines as well, as none are “100 percent efficacious or effective.” “We see this with all vaccines, in clinical trials, in the real world,” Fauci said, explaining that “no vaccine is 100 percent efficacious, or effective.”
