Multiple people have been shot at a Knoxville, Tenn. high school, including a police officer, authorities said Monday. “Multiple agencies are on the scene of a shooting at Austin-East Magnet High School,” the Knoxville Police Department tweeted just after 3:50 p.m. Monday. “Multiple gunshot victims reported, including a KPD officer.” The tweet warned people to avoid the area of the school amid an ongoing investigation.

Knoxville, Tennessee, police officers are responding to Austin-East Magnet High School after it was reported that "multiple" people had been wounded during a shooting. The Knoxville Police Department confirmed on Twitter that they received reports there were multiple gunshot victims at Austin-East Magnet High School. One of those victims is a police officer and the investigation is still ongoing. For the time being, the police department is asking that people avoid the area.

Brooklyn Center, MN police on Monday released bodycam footage of the moments leading to the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright. The bodycam footage shows that Daunte Wright resisted arrest and fled the scene. Police were in the process of cuffing Wright during a traffic stop when he broke free and jumped in his car. The officer screamed, “Taser! Taser! Taser!” before she discharged her weapon. According to the police chief, the officer “accidentally discharged” her weapon instead of using a taser.
