SPACEX WILL LAUNCH THE PART OF THE STATION WHERE THE ASTRONAUTS WILL ACTUALLY LIVE. NASA Lunar Gateway NASA has chosen SpaceX to launch the first parts of the Lunar Gateway, a crewed outpost about a tenth the size of the International Space Station. The plan is for it to orbit the Moon — where it will be a stepping stone for future Artemis missions to the lunar surface. A SpaceX Falcon Heavy, a reusable heavy-lift rocket that has only launched three times since 2018, will carry NASA’s Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) and Habitation and Logistics Outpost (HALO) from launch...

For parents like Clarissa Falen, California governor Gavin Newsom has been a letdown. Falen, a Bay Area native, described herself as a lifelong Republican — “fiscal conservative, social liberal”— and said she broke party lines for the first time when she voted for Newsom, a Democrat, in 2018.

Thomas Friedman overlooked accusations of genocide because China has high-speed trains China is a much better place than America despite those pesky accusations of genocide against Uighurs, according to New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman. A formal legal opinion recently published in the United Kingdom and cited by the BBC on Sunday concluded that here is a "very credible case" that China is carrying out genocide against Uighurs," but Friedman feels the communist nation is much better off than the United States anyway. Friedman appeared on CNN’s "Cuomo Prime Time" on Monday night to declare that China has luxurious high-speed...

A news blackout may have helped propel Biden to victory, but questions regarding the Bidens have not gone away. But he also owes his victory to the groundwork laid by Democrats and their media allies one year before, during the first impeachment of Donald Trump over his supposedly strings-attached demand that the Ukrainian government investigate alleged corruption involving Biden’s son, Hunter. The first impeachment failed to oust Trump from office, but it helped secure the White House for Biden. It shielded him from scrutiny, enabling him and his supporters to cast allegations during the campaign about dubious Biden family business ties as...

LOGAN: “Well, you know, it’s funny that you mentioned your experience along the border, Sean. I was thinking about that as I was writing down some numbers from Border Patrol’s own statistics that may resonate with you, with your knowledge of the border down there. Because for example, Del Rio, they’re up from 2,476 in the week before Biden’s inauguration; last week, 5,699 apprehensions. Up — from known recorded got-aways, up from 942 to 2,106. So you know, that is all along the border. More than 50 to 60 to 70% increases not just in the number of apprehensions but...

Boiled, fried, scrambled or in an omelette, whole eggs pose a threat to health and eating more of them increases your risk of death, a study claims. Researchers found eating just half a whole egg — which includes the yolk and the white — increases the likelihood of dying by seven per cent. Risk of death increases by a further seven per cent for every half an egg on top of this, so a person eating one egg a day has at 14 per cent greater chance of death than someone who avoids the food. Chinese researchers who led the...

Former-president Donald Trump’s Senate trial for his January 6 speech “inciting” a riot at the US Capitol rests on the claim that he lied about vote fraud in the November election. Put aside that Trump asked “everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically, make your voices heard." That he only wanted them to show their support for legislators who were supporting him. That the assault on the Capitol's security lines started before Trump began speaking. While Trump’s questioning the integrity of the November election “incited” violence, President Biden can liken Senators Ted...

South Africa will begin administering Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine to health-care workers. South African Minister of Health Zweli Mkhize said during a news briefing that the vaccine “has been proven effective against the 501Y.V2 variant and the necessary approval processes for use in South Africa are underway.” Mkhize said it will move forward with phase 1 of its vaccination strategy, which targets health-care workers, in the form of an “implementation study” in partnership with the Medical Research Council and vaccination sites across the country. In a statement to The Hill, Johnson & Johnson said it is in “advanced discussions...

The stakes are high: Officer Sicknick’s death is the only purported death by a largely tourist crowd that was let into the building by police, stayed inside the velvet ropes, seemed at least partly there out of confusion, for social media clout, or just for the memes, and that even the New York Times conceded caused limited property damage. That’s a far cry from murder. Yet MAGA is being blood libeled with a felony murder charge in the court of public opinion and at Donald Trump’s impeachment, while potentially exculpatory evidence is silenced or sealed. As the Washington Uniparty mulls domestic...

One can divide antiracism into three waves. First Wave Antiracism battled slavery and segregation. Second Wave Antiracism, in the 1970s and 1980s, battled racist attitudes and taught America that being racist was a flaw. Third Wave Antiracism, becoming mainstream in the 2010s, teaches that racism is baked into the structure of society, so whites’ “complicity” in living within it constitutes racism itself, while for black people, grappling with the racism surrounding them is the totality of experience and must condition exquisite sensitivity toward them, including a suspension of standards of achievement and conduct. Third Wave Antiracist tenets, stated clearly and...

Mark Cuban has canceled the National Anthem before Dallas Mavericks home basketball games. The NBA previously required all teams to play “The Star Spangled Banner” before each game, but now it is at the discretion of owners. And, Cuban sent the song to the chopping block. The change happened a few weeks back, but went unnoticed. The Mavericks began 13 home games without the National Anthem before Cuban was asked about it.

While the latest Homeland Threat Assessment from the Department of Homeland Security describes white supremacists as the “most persistent and lethal threat,” not a single one of the FBI’s most wanted domestic terrorists is linked to a white supremacist or right-wing group.Adding to the confusion over the perceived threats was a bulletin issued by DHS in the last week in January warning about the threat from what it termed “domestic violent extremists.” Once again, the bulletin warns of violent extremism, but makes no mention of Antifa, despite the group once attacking an ICE facility in Portland recently. Given Antifa’s record...

“And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD” (Job 1:12). “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil” (1st John 3:8). We are witnessing the trailing strands of Satan’s long, dark, corrupting thread that runs throughout the entire Bible. Before our eyes, Satan’s long-sought-after goal of obtaining complete global domination...

The Washington National Cathedral has come under fire for hosting Max Lucado, a prominent author and pastor who holds biblical Christian views on marriage, as a guest preacher. Max Lucado was invited by the Episcopal Church's Cathedral Church of Saint Peter and Paul in the City and the Diocese of Washington to preach at a virtual service Sunday. A backlash among members of the Episcopal Church, a denomination known for politically liberal views on marriage and sexuality issues, quickly followed. Critics of Lucado cited his previous written opinions about same-sex marriage as a cause for concern in a petition asking...

His empire was built entirely on borrowed money, but the world’s banks and leading politicians were all too readily duped, says John PrestonEveryone’s heard of Ghislaine Maxwell,’ says the blurb for Power: The Maxwells, a podcast series launched last month. ‘But there’s a shadowy figure who hangs above her who you likely don’t know: her father, media tycoon Robert Maxwell.’ Blimey. I know that 30 years have passed since his soggy demise, and time like an ever-rolling stream bears all its sons away, but it still comes as a shock to realise that such a preposterously outsize figure can be...

JERUSALEM: Israel will keep the Golan Heights forever, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday, after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken voiced remarks that stopped short of recognizing the claim. In 2019, then-US President Donald Trump parted with other world powers by recognizing the Golan Heights as Israeli. Israel occupied the strategic plateau in a 1967 war with Syria and annexed it in 1981. Blinken said on Monday he saw control of the Golan, which overlooks northern Israel and also borders Lebanon and Jordan, as being “of real important to Israel’s security” but was circumspect about recognizing Israeli sovereignty...
