For parents like Clarissa Falen, California governor Gavin Newsom has been a letdown.

Falen, a Bay Area native, described herself as a lifelong Republican — “fiscal conservative, social liberal”— and said she broke party lines for the first time when she voted for Newsom, a Democrat, in 2018.

Okay, print out the petition, sign it, and mail it. No on-line signatures. We're very very close to the required petitioners to end this tyrant's career. We recalled Gov. Davis over less, ever hear from him again?

OFFICIAL RECALL PETITION: Recall Gavin Newsom ...

Ahhh, a Tom Campbell clone. Tom called himself a hard-core conservative, but pro-choice! Then he smiled.

She needs to shorten her self description to "idiot". Newson is doing exactly what he said he would do.

Il Generalissimo has a plan to scoop up a lot of private property.

The proposed bill would give the state the right of first refusal on bank owned properties, which incentivized the extension of eviction/foreclosure freezes.

Because we all know landlords are greedy rich corporations, they can afford to let tenants live for free indefinitely. It’s not like they have mortgages, taxes, insurance, maintenance, or anything. (I once was a SoCal landlord and took a bath just to get out).

When banks eventually are allowed to foreclose and have to buy their own properties back at auction, they will no longer be allowed to assign them to local brokers to get the units sold. Nope. Lenders will have to allow the state to choose to buy the units first.

No doubt, the bill will say “fair market value” (FMV). Translation: whatever the state of California’s *special* appraisers say it’s worth.

Thus, the lenders, already taking a beating by having to foreclose (I sold REO for years, they are nearly always torn up by angry residents) and spend to meet habitability standards (no choice unless it’s a straight cash sale), they will get short-sheeted again on FMV.

I don’t feel sorry for lenders. My concern would be around the open invitation to massive collusion.

The bigger issue, of course is, how is this anything other than communism? The government will, literally, be seizing private property.

This recall could actually happen, the sigs are piling up.

But, Californians are the stupidest people in America. What other population votes itself a tax increase at every opportunity? The few smart ones have fled to Red States or left the country entirely.

Democrats always get mad when rules and laws they have no qualms about imposing on others suddenly affect themselves

Good for you and thank you. Let’s get this pretty boy Clinton clone out of here. I’m willing to take our chances with the next socialist. Maybe he/she will learn from Newsome killing California. If not, rinse and repeat.

I keep getting requests to sign the petition to recall Newsome.

I unregistered to vote in CA months ago when I retired from the military (and after receiving a mail-in ballot, which I shredded). But I still get the requests.

So it's “dangerous” for Newsom to face recall. Here I thought it was truly ‘dangerous” for a conservative to live in Newsom’s Cali.
