At the White House press briefing on Feb. 4, NBC News Chief White House Correspondent Peter Alexander asked Press Secretary Jen Psaki for an update on what the Biden administration is doing to “combat [the] resistance of Americans to wearing masks and social distancing.” In her reply, she suggested that Americans would have to keep taking strict precautions even after receiving the vaccine. “….Even after you’re vaccinated, social distancing, wearing masks are going to be essential. We’ll need to keep communicating about that through health and medical experts,” she said in her reply.

In his inauguration speech Jan. 20, President Joe Biden invoked Abraham Lincoln and the Gettysburg Address—and a nation, now as then, deeply divided. “To overcome these challenges—to restore the soul and to secure the future of America—requires more than words,” Biden solemnly intoned. “It requires that most elusive of things in a democracy: unity. Unity.” The repetition presumably was for emphasis.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) was granted a concealed carry permit in D.C., police Chief Robert Contee said in a press conference Thursday. “A concealed carry permit was issued in that case,” Contee said when asked if the permit was granted for the first-year congresswoman. Boebert went viral last month for an ad she released of her walking around Capitol grounds in which she said, “I will carry my firearm in D.C. and in Congress.” The Colorado Republican is seen in the video walking around the Capitol while appearing to carry a handgun. Members are allowed to carry handguns on Capitol...

Congressional Democrats are preparing to leave Republicans behind as they push forward with another COVID-19 relief bill. With a 50/50 party split in the Senate, congressional Democrats have spent the past week discussing using a budget reconciliation bill to pass their COVID-19 relief with just a simple majority. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi affirmed in a Thursday press conference that Democrats would pass the reconciliation “if we need it” — but some centrist Republicans reportedly aren’t thrilled. Pelosi sent a letter to her colleagues Wednesday with this message: “On the legislative front, we are grateful to our Committee Chairs, who are...

China’s ruling communist party has further tightened its control over speech, information, and thought among the Chinese people, announcing limits on what is allowed on Chinese social media. The country’s social media platforms in recent days have issued notices to users, requiring them to obtain “Internet News Information Service Licenses” or otherwise be banned from commenting on “politics, economics, the military, diplomacy, and other major news.” The notices explain that if a user does not have a license, they are advised not to compile, publish, comment and interpret any information on current affairs. The notices from Sohu and Baidu clearly...

Gov. Charlie Baker must be losing it — on Wednesday he let St. Anthony Fauci beat him to the punch by hours in trying to scare “folks” out of having Super Bowl parties Sunday. “Every time we have something like this,” Fauci thundered to the true believers on the Democrat morning shows, “there is always a spike.” By the time Charlie Parker — as Joe Biden calls him — went out to administer his daily rites of panic porn, Fauci owned the headlines: “Lay low and cool it.” Parker seemed off his game, for once almost apologetic about his hysterical...

This seems like the sort of thing you don’t say out loud but, like a serial killer, many in politics are just too absorbed in their own egos to not try to take credit for their deeds. TIME wrote a very interesting piece making some very alarming claims. Namely, that a secret cabal banded together across the country to stop Donald Trump from winning re-election. This included everything from manipulating media coverage to getting election laws changed, at least according to TIME’s account. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — After only their first few weeks of work, tensions already are high among lawmakers meeting in-person at some state capitols — not because of testy debates over taxes, guns or abortion, but because of a disregard for coronavirus precautions. In Georgia, a Republican lawmaker recently was booted from the House floor for refusing to get tested for the coronavirus. In Iowa, a Democratic House member boldly violated a no-jeans rule to protest the chamber’s lack of a mask rule. And in Missouri, numerous lawmakers and staff — some fearing for their health after a COVID-19...

A B.C. man who gained widespread attention for helping drive a stranded American family to the Alaska-Canada border will soon be able to do that trip in a new car. Gary Bath, a Canadian ranger and military veteran in Fort St. John, helped Lynn Marchessault and her family after they were stranded in a November snowstorm on their way to join her husband. That good deed has been recognized by Planters, the American nut company, which is giving both Bath and Marchessault a new car and a lifetime supply of peanuts. “They reached out through (Facebook) Messenger, trying to get...

Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska stood firm against leaders of his state's Republican Party on Thursday after they advanced a censure resolution against him for decrying efforts to overturn the election results and then-President Donald Trump's involvement in the US Capitol riot. In a video addressing members of the Nebraska GOP State Central Committee, Sasse urged the party to accept critics of the former President and remain true to conservatism as the party's future. "Let's be clear: The anger in this state party has never been about me violating principle or abandoning conservative policy -- I'm one of the most...

Tufts University promoted an event intended to "Root Out Racism" among "White Christian Folks." The event, titled “Rooting Out Racism: An Online Retreat for White Christian Folks,” was marketed as a “retreat about white supremacy.” The event’s host, Spiritual Grounding, which does not appear to be directly affiliated with Tufts, insisted upon the necessity of the retreat as “George Floyd’s murder has highlighted once again the need for white folks to do their work.”

On the morning of January 6, Flynn and I and a dozen others walked over to the south side of the White House. We were surprised that no special arrangements had been made for us, and we had to fight our way through the throngs. We were both given speakers’ badges, seated in a special section up front…. then learned that our speaking slots had been cancelled. We were perplexed, to put it mildly, wondering whom they could get that would possibly explain the situation as well as we could…

The 2020 elections will determine whether our Republic survives or falls from within to single-party socialist rule The Communist Plan to Overthrow America from Within In his best-selling book “The Naked Communist,” former FBI Special Agent W. Cleon Skousen revealed the 45 communist goals to overthrow America, not by a foreign invasion, but via stealth, infiltration and deception carried out by American citizens who have quietly moved to the side of the hammer and sickle. As you read the following partial list of those goals, ask yourself which political party most closely aligns itself with these profoundly un-American objectives. Eliminate...

In the fall of 2016, California’s then Gov. Jerry Brown signed into law a mandate to develop an ethnic studies program for high schools in California. California’s public schools have the most ethnically diverse student body in the nation, with three-quarters of students belonging to minorities and speaking over 90 languages. Luis Alejo, the Assembly member who shepherded the bill through the 15 years required for its adoption, hailed the law, the first in the nation, as an opportunity to “give all students the opportunity to prepare for a diverse global economy, diverse university campuses and diverse workplaces,” adding, “Ethnic...

The British Army first used the Magazine Lee-Enfield in combat soon after it was introduced in 1895 in its campaign in the Sudan the following year. The bolt-action, magazine-fed repeating rifle was actually a redesign of the Lee-Metford that had only been adopted in 1888. Chambered in the new.303 British cartridge, the Lee-Enfield became the first British rifle to fire a “smokeless” cartridge.

We are sad to announce that our new book, The Contagion Myth, is banned on Amazon—sad for what has happened to American freedom of expression.
