In his inauguration speech Jan. 20, President Joe Biden invoked Abraham Lincoln and the Gettysburg Address—and a nation, now as then, deeply divided.
“To overcome these challenges—to restore the soul and to secure the future of America—requires more than words,” Biden solemnly intoned. “It requires that most elusive of things in a democracy: unity. Unity.”
The repetition presumably was for emphasis.

He wants unity in the Orwellian style where all dissent is crushed and political opponents are subjected to show trials and criminal prosecution. There was unity in Cambodia after Khmer Rouge murdered 2 million people.

I think what they were getting at, is that Schumer would call off the Senate trial, if Biden asked him to, since they are both Democrats. At least that was my interpretation.
I’ll never unite with an enemy occupation of the USA. What is there to unite with? Their whole agenda is to destroy the USA on every single level. What has he done that is positive for this country since the coup allowed him to occupy the White house? Every EO he signed either hurts the USA or helps a hostile foreign country.
His chance evaporated immediately after the election.
Imagine the gravitas he would have carried if he’d said “My fellow Americans, there is ample evidence this election was affected by fraudulent activities. While I personally disagree with the findings and reports, I think it’s the duty of every American, and the courts, if necessary, to examine the evidence of fraud, prosecute those responsible, and ensure the next president of the USA has the full faith and credit of voters of all parties. Only after that safety check on our election integrity has taken place, will I accept my victory.”
Of course he didn’t say this, because he knew the fraud was so obvious his victory would have been taken away. This is all I need to know that fraud swung the election.
President Le Petomane’s handlers don’t care about unity, they seek submission.
The GOP has been importing a permanent Democrat majority for 30 years.
While the impeachment is a travesty it is much more than that as far as ‘unity’.
In fact I don’t see where there is ANY unity.
