United Nations experts are warning of a "growing body of evidence" that Iran is sending weapons to Houthi rebels in war-torn Yemen, in a report that warns of a deteriorating situation in the country with "devastating consequence" for the civilian population. (excerpt) The evidence includes anti-tank guided missiles, sniper rifles and RPB launchers all with markings consistent with those made in Iran. The Trump administration had warned of moves by Iran to destabilize the Middle East by arms sales, and attempted to reimpose a broader arms embargo, as well as other sanctions that were expiring as part of the 2015...

The Pentagon on Saturday announced that it was "pausing" a plan to give COVID-19 vaccinations at Guantanamo Bay -- after accusations from Republicans and 9/11 survivors that it was prioritizing terror suspects over Americans. "No Guantanamo detainees have been vaccinated," Defense Department Press Secretary John Kirby tweeted. "We’re pausing the plan to move forward, as we review force protection protocols. We remain committed to our obligations to keep our troops safe." Two defense officials had confirmed to Fox News the plan to offer COVID-19 vaccinations to the 40 detainees at the detention site near Cuba. A lack of vaccinations had...

If anybody still wonders about whether or not Twitter's banning of President Donald Trump from its platform was utterly political, Politico's story on Thursday by Natasha Korecki should resolve any lingering doubts. In fact the article forthrightly reveals Twitter's blatant favoritism right in the headline, "Twitter’s priceless gift to Biden."

Black Lives Matter nets Nobel Peace Prize nomination for raising 'peaceful' awareness of injusticeNorwegian politician Petter Eide has nominated Black Lives Matter for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize for its ability to raise “global awareness and consciousness about racial injustice.”The MP told reporters that his decision was motivated, in part, by the diversity of people around the world who latched onto its racial warnings pertaining to “conflict based on inequality.”“They have been able to mobilize people from all groups of society, not just African-Americans, not just oppressed people, it has been a broad movement, in a way which has been...

Gotta love this quote: "A study by the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project, which looked at 7,750 Black Lives Matter demonstrations from four months of last year, found that 93 percent of the protests were mostly peaceful, yet photographs and videos captured by journalists across America depict a different image." So, I guess "mostly" has become as credible as a little bit pregnant? If someone "looked at" so many BLM/DNC sponsored riots and concluded this, I've an idea where their head was when looking.

The Trinity is all about Love. The Trinity is heart-warming. It is the Trinity that makes human loving family relationships possible , , , but first let is "get the math out of the way." All orthodox Christians are Trinitarians, that is, we believe there is one God who exists in three Persons -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.. Unfortunately many people get bogged down in the seemingly mathematical contradiction involved in 1 yet 3. Forget trying to solve the 1 yet 3 thingy -- that's impossible to solve. Why? Because there is nothing on this earth comparable to 1...

Johnson & Johnson and Novavax this week reported that their vaccines were effective in clinical trials, and what fortunate timing. The U.S. urgently needs a supply boost. But at this juncture it’s also worth noting how former Operation Warp Speed chief Moncef Slaoui positioned the Biden Administration for a vaccine triumph. One of Mr. Slaoui’s inspired ideas was to diversify the federal government’s vaccine bets with six manufacturers when nobody knew which, if any, would work. The vaccine candidates used different technologies—Moderna and Pfizer -BioNTech (mRNA), J&J and AstraZeneca (adenovirus), and Novavax and Sanofi -GSK (recombinant protein). The J&J and...
