Socialists Demand Monthly $2,000 Checks [semi-satire]
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 31 January 2021 | John Semmens

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich) and 50 other House members are pushing President Biden to issue an Executive Order that would authorize “monthly $2,000 stimulus checks to every person in the country until the pandemic ends.”

“This would mean that a family of four would receive a federal subsidy of $80,000 per year,” Omar exclaimed. “At the stroke of a pen, every family—citizens and non-citizens alike—would never need to work again to support a comfortable lifestyle.”

With several COVID experts, like Dr. Anthony Fauci and vaccine maker Moderna, declaring that this virus may be with us for a long time, maybe from this point forward, Omar remained unswayed, saying that “I can’t see a downside to providing every family with a decent standard of living. The utopia envisioned by Marx would become a reality. The choice to work or not work could then be freely decided without the pressure of economic necessity.”

Neither was Omar concerned that too many might opt out of work. “As we saw during the COVID shutdowns, the government has the power to declare certain industries as ‘essential.’ Naturally, the workers required to provide essential services would be ordered to continue working for the good of the whole society. From time-to-time the best of these essential workers could be recognized as ‘heroes’ and receive commendations or medals they could wear to advertise their status.”

“The government has had the power to create money ever since the Federal Reserve System was established more than 100 years ago,” the Congresswoman asserted. “The failure to fully use this power condemned generations to poverty and want. Though many of the criminals responsible for inflicting such suffering are dead, those who are still alive must be tracked down and punished. This will deter others from seeking to perpetuate these cruel and criminal policies.”

How to create a social state by Saul Alinsky:

There are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state. The first is the most important.

Healthcare – Control healthcare and you control the people.
Poverty – Increase the Poverty level as high as possible; poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
Debt – Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.
Gun Control – Remove the ability to defend themselves from the government. That way you are able to create a police state.
Welfare – Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income).
Education – Take control of what people read and listen to – take control of what children learn in school.
Religion – Remove the belief in the God from the government and schools.
Class Welfare – Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more disconnect, and it will be easier to take (tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

Coming soon, the book: “Living Well on Your Universal Basic Income”.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury.
After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy.”-Alexander Fraser Tytler

ODE TO THE WELFARE STATE (1949)

Father, must I go to work?
No, my lucky son.
We’re living now on Easy Street
On dough from Washington!

We’ve left it up to Uncle Sam,
So don’t get exercised.
Nobody has to build a dam,
We’ve all been subsidized.

But if Sam treats us all so well
And feeds us milk and honey,
Please, Daddy, tell me what the heck
He’s going to use for money?

Don’t worry bub, there’s not a hitch
In this here noble plan.
He simply soaks the filthy rich
And helps the common man.

But father, won’t there come a time
When they all run out of cash?
And we have left them not a dime
When things will go to smash?

My faith in you is shrinking, son,
You nosey little brat!
You do too darn much thinking,
To be called a Democrat!
Robert Edgar Burns

Let’s do the math...

$2000 x every person that reportedly voted in the last election (approx 150 million) = $300 billion - per month.

$300 billion x 12 = $3.6 Trillion per year (now we’re talking serious money)

This is not even counting that the currently federal revenue intake doesn’t even cover the interest on the debt. If you add to the 2020 deficit, you’re talking a 2021 debt of $6.7 trillion.

$6,700,000,000,000.

Oh, and total federal revenue for 2019: $3.46 Trillion. 2020 expected to collect much less. You know - lockdowns and all...

If this gets passed, you’ll need to ask for your stimulus in $1 dollar bills, because you’ll need them in the fireplace to keep warm.

just my $0.02 - which is more than what a dollar will be worth.

In the summer of 2020 Biden said that COVID had already killed 100 million Americans.

By now there can’t be more than a few thousand left.

The proposal calls for $2,000 per month for EVERY PERSON—children included.

The cost would be more than twice your estimate.

With hundreds of millions crashing our borders, the cost will be even higher.
