District Police Commander Obstlt Christoph Patigler, said rule breaking would "not be tolerated". He added: "Anyone who tries to circumvent the strict legal situation must expect...

Over the past 10 months, the COVID-19 pandemic has severely hampered what was previously a period of record economic growth in the United States. Tens of millions of Americans lost their jobs as businesses were closed to slow the spread of the virus. And, while the economy continues to recover, unemployment is still nearly double what it was this time last year.Along with the economic impacts, COVID-19 has also slowed the overall pace of immigration into the United States. In January of 2020, the federal government declared the novel coronavirus to be a public health emergency and restricted travel from...

SYDNEY - BGI Group, the world’s largest genomics company, has worked with China’s military on research that ranges from mass testing for respiratory pathogens to brain science, a Reuters review of research, patent filings and other documents has found. The review, of more than 40 publicly available documents and research papers in Chinese and English, shows BGI’s links to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) include research with China’s top military supercomputing experts. The extent of those links has not previously been reported. BGI has sold millions of COVID-19 test kits outside China since the outbreak of the new coronavirus pandemic,...

Several prominent Republican lawmakers strongly criticized a judge's sentence Friday that resulted in probation and no prison time for the only person charged in the Justice Department's investigation into the origins of alleged Trump-Russia collusion. Former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith received a sentence of 12 months probation and 400 hours community service from U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg during a video hearing. Clinesmith pleaded guilty to altering an CIA email used to support a government wiretap of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. Boasberg, who also is on the FISA court, denied special counsel John Durham's recommendation of up...

It’s just the flu, bro. https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3929884/posts Heard a new phrase I liked related to the Coronavirus fiasco - “white coat supremacy”. They had white coat supremacy back 75-100 years when everybody believed eugenics was the way to go. - https://tulsaworld.com/news/national/govt-and-politics/indiana-governor-relaxing-coronavirus-limits-on-crowd-sizes/article_89bba17e-e152-5546-8d11-0adbcbf0b4e9.html https://www.vashonbeachcomber.com/business/restaurant-reprieve-state-to-relax-some-indoor-restrictions/ Indiana and Washington relaxed some coronavirus rules recently. Not enough, but better than nothing. - This vaccine rollout is dumb. Why only give it to certain approved groups? I personally will never take the vaccine but for those who want it this is very dumb. Some of it has to tossed in the trash because it expired as a...

The Arctic has seen rapid transformation in recent years as a result of climate change, with rising temperatures and significant fluctuations in sea ice thickness. Those changes could be causing three species of Arctic seals to lose body mass at alarming rates, according to a new study. The researchers found that the seals' body condition declined in almost all age and sex classes in every studied species. Only two groups, spotted seal subadults and adults, did not experience a decline in body condition. "Our findings point strongly to climate-related impacts. We saw declines in seal condition that coincided with recent...

"(W)e will never again sow division. Scripture tells us to envision that everyone shall sit under their own vine and fig tree and no one shall make them afraid." That's from Amanda Gorman's poem, "The Hill We Climb," which she read at the recent inauguration. The sentiment was consistent with President Biden's own words to those who did not support him: "Hear me out as we move forward. Take a measure of me and my heart." Unfortunately, it didn't take even until the end of the week for Joe Biden to get cracking on some divisive priorities. The statement he...

President Joe Biden contends there is “nothing we can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months,” which is the exact opposite of what presidential candidate Joe Biden promised voters during the 2020 campaign. And by “exact opposite,” I mean the president’s alleged plan to beat the coronavirus literally said that “the trajectory of COVID-19 in America is headed in the wrong direction” and only he could fix it.

At a White House briefing last week, Susan Rice said, "The president has committed the whole of our government to advancing racial justice and equity[.] ... We will hold the federal government accountable for advancing equity ... Every agency will place equity at the core [of its programs[.]" According to the dictionary, equity is "freedom from bias or favoritism." However, the "social justice" definition of equity is the opposite. It holds that to be equal, people must be treated differently. "Whereas equality means providing the same to all, equity means recognizing that we do not all start from the same...

Speaking of corrupt Democrat politicians… – How about that Nancy Pelosi, huh? Man, if anyone in Washington knows best about how to get stinking, filthy rich off of a position of high power in Washington, DC, it’s San Fran Nan and her husband, San Fran Paul. These people have turned the practice of insider trading into an art form over the past 30 years, and aren’t about to stop now that China Joe’s occupying the White House. See, insider trading is highly illegal for you and all the other little people in America, and every once in a while the...

Editor's Note: This piece was authored by landlord and Young Voices contributor Jen Sidorova. To much aplomb from the public and to the great chagrin of landlords everywhere, President-elect Joe Biden announced plans to extend the eviction moratorium to the end of September. The measure, of course, was meant to protect 40 million Americans facing homelessness as a result of the ongoing pandemic. But Biden’s move isn’t just sticking it to greedy, rich landlords with an eye putting poor people on the street in times of crisis. After all, the white-collar landlords will make it out of this alive. No, this...

Sephora is a French-owned beauty supply store that shows up in more affordable shopping malls. It’s not in the same mall as Saks or Nordstrom. Instead, you’ll find it inside J.C. Penney or near a Costco. In other words, it caters to ordinary Americans, the ones who fall economically in the middle- or blue-collar classes. In other words, economically, it’s in the Trump demographic. Still, when a leftist got word that “beauty influencer” Amanda Ensing was a conservative, Sephora dumped her for failing to “align” with its values. If you’re not familiar with the term “influencer,” I’m sorry to say...

WASHINGTON - President Joe Biden and Senate Democrats are vetting civil rights lawyers and public defenders to nominate as judges, embarking on a mission to shape the courts after Republicans overhauled them in the last four years, according to senior party officials and activists. They believe they have two years to make their mark and fill a growing number of vacancies before a midterm election where the party in power historically loses seats. Some are preparing for a Supreme Court retirement as early as this summer, with most of the speculation centered on 82-year-old Justice Stephen Breyer, a Democratic appointee....

Editor's note: This column was authored by Emilie Dye. Last January, you could buy a bitcoin for less than $9,000 — that's roughly the downpayment on a 2018 Ford F-150. Today, it costs around $37,000 — that's almost enough to buy the truck outright. Much of bitcoin’s recent popularity is a product of the times. In 2020, governments around the world spent tax dollars like teenagers throwing around their dads’ credit cards. It’s not surprising that many now wonder if maybe we shouldn’t trust the government to be the guardian of the money supply. Bitcoin is an entirely digital currency...

The Democrats’ years of violent rhetoric and actions are being memory-holed as Trump supporters are redefined as terrorists. For four years, leftists have been on a maddened rampage of threats, anger, hatred, and actual violence. Conservatives abided by the law. However, since taking power in Washington, D.C., the Democrat party has a mission: It is redefining all 75-80 million Trump supporters as white supremacists and domestic terrorists. One person’s Facebook post suggests that merely attending the Trump rally – and having no connection with the preplanned violence at the Capitol – is enough to get you on a government list....

Most Americans learn in school about flagship political excesses in U.S. history like Joe McCarthy’s 1950s inquisitions, the post-World War I Red Scare and the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798. Yet a recent Washington Post opinion piece purports to explain “what the 1798 Sedition Act got right.” The law banned a wide range of political speech and publication. It was passed by the ruling Federalists to suppress the rival Democratic-Republicans, whom they saw as seditious. The Post piece argues that though their solution was “flawed,” the Federalists had reason to worry about “unregulated freedom of the press.” We highlight...

If the Nobel committee's handing over of the Nobel peace prize to newly elected President Obama seemed like the nadir of the prize's prestige, there's now another thing coming. According to The Guardian: The Black Lives Matter movement has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel peace prize for the way its call for systemic change has spread around the world. In his nomination papers, the Norwegian MP Petter Eide said the movement had forced countries outside the US to grapple with racism within their own societies. “I find that one of the key challenges we have seen in America, but...

...the media may have to start reporting about WHO’s overstated testing protocols. The Lugenpress, or Lying Press, lie by commission and omission. Commission dishonesty, which is obvious, includes incessant propagandizing progressive policies and political correctness as news. Lies of omission often are difficult to detect. The Lugenpress’s lack of coverage avoids bringing ideas, events, or people to the fore to debate and discuss problems to decide the most reasonable recourse. Lugenpress lies of omission can be greater than their lies of commission. This article surveys one particular example of omission involving the World Health Organization (“WHO”). Over the last four...

Pray For the Peace of JerusalemLambs, Sheep, and Shepherds.Isaiah 5353 Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? 2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. 3 He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. 4 Surely...

Florida Republicans are welcoming former President Trump -- and his political activity -- to the Sunshine State since leaving office, dubbing him their "hometown president." The president, who relocated to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., has already established an official post-presidency office to oversee his affairs, and has already met with House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy—just 9 days after leaving the White House. And Republicans in Florida are welcoming the activity, saying the party will be "fueled by Donald Trump moving forward." "When he wants to have an event, we would build an event around him," Christian Ziegler,...
