For Democrats, equality is no longer good enough. We need Marxist 'equity.'
American Thinker ^ | 30 Jan, 2021 | D. Lewis

Posted on 01/30/2021 4:55:50 AM PST by MtnClimber

At a White House briefing last week, Susan Rice said, "The president has committed the whole of our government to advancing racial justice and equity[.] ... We will hold the federal government accountable for advancing equity ... Every agency will place equity at the core [of its programs[.]"

According to the dictionary, equity is "freedom from bias or favoritism." However, the "social justice" definition of equity is the opposite. It holds that to be equal, people must be treated differently. "Whereas equality means providing the same to all, equity means recognizing that we do not all start from the same place and must acknowledge and make adjustments to imbalances."

This idea of equity comes from identifiably communist thought. It is the second part of Marx's slogan: "From each according to his ability; to each according to his needs." Lenin, discussing Marx, said, "Every right is an application of the same measures to different people who, in fact, are not the same and are not equal to one another; this is why "equal right" is really a violation of equality and an injustice[.] ... [D]ifferent people are not alike; one is strong, another is weak, one is married, the other is not, one has more children[.] ... [quoting Marx] 'In order to avoid all these defects, rights, instead of being equal, must be unequal'" (State and Revolution, Chapter 5, Part 3).

Everyone ends up in poverty except to the entitled ruling class who see themselves as gods over the dirty masses.

Candace Owens once stated that dems hated her because she had the audacity to think of herself as their equal...I don’t think dems consider God their equal....

Again proving the genius of Orwell: some are more equal than others.

Three Orwell posts in a row. (And, I didn’t see yours first.) Funny how some minds are wired the same. It was the first thing I thought of when I read what Rice said.

W was talking equity in speeches when he was president. I remember a particular speech he gave in Pennsylvania. I commented on how much he sounded like Bubba. I was kicked off that other site. It was an equality and equity for thee speech.

The bad news for the Marxists and the RINOs is that congress is split. The US Senate is 50/50; the vice president is the Ds only edge. The US House of Representatives is 221D/211 and maybe 1 less D shortly; this would leave only a 9 vote majority in a House with 435 representatives. So for all intents and purposes, this is a razor thin majority.

And so far, some of the Ds have been squawking, fearful for their reelections. So it's not like the Marxists have a clear path for their agenda through Congress.

IMHO, there's going to be a lot of horse trading before the dust settles.

The selling of American Congressional Legislation

THE issue that binds Red and Blue together in the UniParty is the issue of electoral fraud.

Its why certain precincts have voted Red-Blue for over 100 years. It s the means by which Congress and K St lobbyists can guarantee “product delivery” to interests that pay enough.

Various “intelligence agencies” are the enforcement arm. Prolly different ones (there are 17 of them afterall!) supporting different “service lines”

Its mutually assured destruction if either side starts to betray the long-standing inter-generational process.

Whenever the issue starts to bubble too close to the surface
we all start getting entertained with “pizza parties” and “SRA” issues-and other Red-Blue trigger issues-but these are only incidental to the business at hand-the selling of the votes and legislation of the most powerful legislative body in the world.

The contemporary information-digital communications has the ability to put an end to all if this -which is why the “information war” here at home and now on the American electorate.

"The US House of Representatives is 221D/211 and maybe 1 less D shortly; this would leave only a 9 vote majority..."

I only wish it were that obvious, Captain.
The problem is we have about 10 seriously sick RINOs in the House, maybe five in the Senate, willing to impeach their former President for the sake of... what?
Political suicide?

Does not bode well for this year.
Maybe next year we can get some of them replaced?

The House is 221D/211 and maybe 1 less D shortly (looks like Tenney is winning upstate NY's seat); this leaves
a razor-thin 9 vote majority among 435 representatives.. Last time out, several Dems lost b/c of left-wing rhetoric
like "Defund the Police"......so some Ds have been squawking, fearful for their reelections......
it's unlikely Marxists have a clear path through Congress.

Nice deconstruction.......the log-rolling on these issues will be amusing.

"THE issue that binds Red and Blue together in the UniParty is the issue of electoral fraud."

I dearly hope you're wrong, but suspect that's just what's going on.
How do down-ticket Republicans do OK when their president loses?

You may remember the great Reagan landslide of 1984 -- Democrats lost almost every state, but only 15 House seats and kept their House majority, while gaining one Senate seat.
In November 2020 Democrats lost 12 House seats, which should correspond to a nice Trump landslide, but somehow he lost...
Does not compute... something's amiss, and nobody will seriously explain what, how & why.

“Whereas equality means providing the same to all...”

Back in about 3rd grade my twin daughters (different classes) , the teachers did an “exercise”. The teacher scattered 100 pennies around the room and then had the 30 kids go find them.

My daughters were very excited and found a bunch. Some of the boys thought it was stupid and didn't look for any.

Then the teachers asked how many pennies everyone had. Some kids had 6, some had none.

“So - is it okay that some of you have 6, and some of you have none?”

The kids discussed things. In both classes the majority (mob rule) agreed that it wasn't fair. (Granted, they were 3rd graders). And then the teachers asked what they should do about it.

My one daughter was so proud that the kids got together and decided that everyone should get the same amount of pennies, and those with a bunch gave theirs to those that didn't have any.

The other daughter was pissed, and tried to explain why those that had put in the effort to find the pennies shouldn't give theirs to those that just sat there. Of course she lost out to the mob rule.

We talked about it over dinner. I was proud of both of my daughters. The one that has a generous heart. The other that knew what was right. After discussing about it for a long time, the daughter with the big heart changed her mind.

They both are staunch Conservatives now. Although the one with the big heart will still pay for the person behind them at the drive-through window!

I mentioned to them that they should ask the teachers to do that exercise every day for a month and see how it works out. (Neither of them did). While I hated that they got taught that crap; in hind sight it may have been best that they were taught in Liberal schools, but mom and I were there each evening to discuss things and set them straight.
