Florida Republicans are welcoming former President Trump -- and his political activity -- to the Sunshine State since leaving office, dubbing him their "hometown president."
The president, who relocated to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., has already established an official post-presidency office to oversee his affairs, and has already met with House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy—just 9 days after leaving the White House.
And Republicans in Florida are welcoming the activity, saying the party will be "fueled by Donald Trump moving forward."
"When he wants to have an event, we would build an event around him," Christian Ziegler, vice chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, told the Orlando Sentinel. "If he wants to make any visits around the state, we will facilitate. It is his party."
He added: "He is our hometown president."
Ziegler’s comment comes just after Trump met with McCarthy, R-Calif., at Mar-a-Lago, where the two agreed to work together on Republicans taking back the House in 2022.
Meanwhile, Palm Beach County Republican Party Chairman Michael Barnett told the Sentinel that hundreds of Republican Party members are expected to attend the Palm Beach County GOP’s annual Lincoln Day Dinner at Mar-a-Lago in April. Barnett told the Sentinel he hopes Trump will attend.
"If he is available, I hope he comes down from the residence, says hi and speaks a little bit," Barnett told The Sentinel.
McCarthy, who once said Trump "bears responsibility" for the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol riot, reunited with Trump in Florida for a "very good and cordial" meeting where McCarthy welcomed Trump's support in promoting GOP House candidates in the next election, according to a readout from Trump's team.

Just remember Republicans, we love President Trump because he is a patriot and not afraid to stand up for himself and the American people. You, on the other hand, have proven yourselves to be not so much. Our memory is long, and our commitment to the Constitutional Republic unwavering.
The days are over when just because you have an R or a D beside your name that you just automatically get someone's vote. Strongly urge you all to use the next four years deciding what's really important, your party or your country.

The GOP needs to get moving and get rid of the RINO mayor of Jacksonville, Lenny Curry, He hates Trump and he’s the reason we didn’t have the GOP convention here.
He also hates DeSantis and shut down all sorts of things “because Covid” in defiance of DeSantis’ policy.
He’s done a generally lousy job of running the city, bowed to BLM, removed perfectly innocuous statues, and has let crime in certain high-crime neighborhoods get even higher than it was when he took office. He needs to go.
He literally said when I wrote to him to complain about crime (after a little girl was killed by being caught in the cross fire) that his solution was to offer more recreation in those neighborhoods. Guess what?...the very day that I got his email, two “teens” were shot to death by other “teens” at a basketball game on one of the neighborhood city-owned courts. You can’t make this level of stupidity up.

Don’t worry the military is in command of the country. Biden is being allowed to scare people silly so they will wake up and accept the evidence that will be brought forward in coming weeks. And so that they will accept the solution.
Things are going to change pretty radically with a new financial system and a radically smaller govt. Trump and the military are trying to achieve this change with as little violence as possible. Arrests are being made and companies are being quietly taken over. Biden is being contained. Trust in Trump and our military.
Reminds me of the stupidity of that former mayor of Tallahassee, can’t even think of his filthy name right now, who actually came close to winning the governorship, not to mention the idiots that voted for him. Thank the good Lord Almighty that didn’t happen.

If I had to say, I think Trump will endorse DeSantis in 2024.
The GOP has got to crack down on Lenny. He claims to be a Republican but he’s giving us a bad name because he really wants to be. Democrat. But he wouldn’t be able to win in that case, even in what are theoretically nonpartisan mayoral elections, which are dominated by Dems, because he’d have competition. As a GOPer, he doesn’t.
Hopefully the defeat over Lot J will end his career.
