Taco Bell knows you're upset about losing potatoes. It's sorry it hurt you. And it's bringing them back. Last year, Taco Bell cut a number of items from its menu, including two dishes that featured its seasoned potato bites: Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes and the Spicy Potato Soft Taco. Those two items will be back in restaurants on March 11, the chain announced on Thursday. Rumors of potatoes getting axed started to swirl last summer after a Reddit user, identified as a verified employee, said potatoes were leaving the menu. Taco Bell soon confirmed the news, leading to a stream of...

The dating app Bumble temporarily suspended its political filter in the US after multiple people tweeted about using it to find conservatives who took part in last week's Capitol insurrection and turn them into law-enforcement authorities. On January 7, a day after the pro-Trump riot, Alia Awadallah, a woman in Washington, DC, tweeted: "There are DOZENS of men on DC dating apps right now who were clearly here for the insurrection attempt." "Some say it directly, others are obvious from MAGA clothing, location tags, etc. Is that info useful at all for law enforcement?"

Imagine this scenario: A U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor pilot races toward a target on the ground and when within striking distance, drops a pair of GPS-guided precision bombs. As the bombs fall from the sky, they themselves notice another, higher-priority target elsewhere on the ground. While one of the bombs stays on course, the second adjusts its trajectory, aiming directly at the second, higher-priority target. Both bombs hit their marks — and all the F-22 pilot had to do was fly them out and release them.

LONDON - France’s Total on Friday became the first major energy company to quit the largest U.S. oil and gas lobby because of differences over climate policies. Total said in a statement it would not renew its 2021 membership with the American Petroleum Institute (API) following a review of the lobby’s climate positions, describing them as being only “partially aligned” with Total’s. The points of difference include API’s support for the rollback of U.S. regulation on emissions of methane, a potent greenhouse gas and how to assign a price to carbon, vital to any carbon trading system seen as critical...

It’s not uncommon for Cheney to break ranks with Trump, as she’s collided with the president on a number of foreign policy issues and ways to mitigate the coronavirus. Cheney condemned Trump’s military removal from several theaters. She rejected the Republican push to overturn the 2020 election results that was based on false instances of voter fraud. The Wyoming Representative is also an avid supporter of mask-wearing and social distancing measures and championed Dr. Anthony Fauci for his work during the pandemic.

Like Warnock's win in Ga. This seat is lost for 2 years only. We can recover. Up to now it's always been my hope a statewide winner like the Gov. would be the ideal candidate. That was then. There are 2-4 house types who have won their districts convincingly. Who is the best and will he step up? Play it safe and stay in the house? It could be that the best candidate would be anotherFlake(y). Az. is trending blue and it could be our last chance. Remember the seat's good for 6 years and mid term may help.

CNN political analyst Carl Bernstein Thursday on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” called Donald Trump a “secessionist, seditious president of the United States who inspired and celebrated a riot to burn down the Capitol.” Cooper said, “I wanted to bring in someone who masterfully told the story of Nixon’s final days, Carl Bernstein.”

It's been obvious for quite a while that our country is coming apart at the seams. People on all sides are upset, and they want to punish their political opponents. We aren't able to disagree in a productive way. We demonize one another; we are too partisan; and we are definitely too angry. This isn't unique to the right or the left. It's all of us. If the riots in Washington, and those before them in cities across America, didn't prove we have grown out of control, then nothing will. There were, of course, well-meaning people in Washington who were...

See below. I am quite terrified to see where this is all headed. The full text of the letter being circulated at Harvard is below: Revoke their Degrees The campaign to subvert the outcome of the 2020 presidential election left five dead and nearly killed many more as armed, organized insurrectionists with Confederate flags and Nazi paraphernalia stormed the Capitol in search of members of Congress to kill or capture. Nationwide violence is expected in the weeks to come. Is Harvard University prepared to take a stand for representative democracy and against violent white supremacy?

Either hate Donald Trump or try to unite the county.Pick one.You can’t do both.To the incoming president and his party, the message has to be clear: You cannot simultaneously try to mend fences and throw stones.Unity will come through partnership, not submission. As Joe Biden has repeatedly spoken of his desire to “be the president of all Americans” and to “heal the historic rift in our country,” he has also, in those same speeches, vilified Donald Trump and, by transference, those who supported him. That won’t work. You don’t make friends by spitting in somebody’s face. And while Donald Trump has, in the minds...

On Thursday, Brian Sicknick, an officer with the US Capitol Police, died from injuries sustained during the storming of the Capitol building. Democratic leaders have presented Sicknick as a martyr of the #Resistance against President Trump and his dangerous supporters. Reality is more complicated. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi described Sicknick’s death as a reminder of the need to “protect our country from all threats, foreign and domestic.” President-elect Joe Biden suggested that whoever backed Trump supports “an all-out assault on our institutions of our democracy.” The day’s violence, it seems, has become an all-purpose excuse to denounce and silence anyone...

Four former homeland security chiefs have endorsed President-elect Joe Biden’s nominee for homeland security because he helped deliver work permits to roughly 800,000 illegal migrants. “We each know [nominee Alejandro] Mayorkas as a man of character, integrity, experience and compassion … he helped create and administer the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals [DACA] program,” said the January 12 Washington Post op-ed by former DHS secretaries Tom Ridge, Michael Chertoff, Janet Napolitano, and Jeh Johnson.

Some are calling for Facebook to be banned from the app store after a Washington Post report revealed that a great deal of the Capitol Hill riot was planned on Mark Zuckerberg’s platform. According to the Post, “a growing body of evidence shows that Facebook played a much larger role” in the storming of the building than COO Sharyl Sandberg previously acknowledged. Sandberg claimed that the events “were largely organized on platforms that don’t have our abilities to stop hate, don’t have our standards and don’t have our transparency.”

Atilis Gym co-owner Ian Smith has made a name for himself for standing up to New Jersey’s COVID-19 restrictions on businesses, despite Governor Phil Murphy’s repeated attempts to shut him down through citations, fines, arrests, having their business license stripped, and their doors locked and barricaded. This week, Murphy escalated the fight. “As of this morning, without warning, and without permission, and in the middle of litigation, Governor Murphy took it upon himself to empty our bank account entirely, to the tune of $165,000,” explained Smith on a video posted to social media. He said it still wouldn’t stop him....

Often people contact our ministry and say, “I have no one to talk to, no one to share my burden with, no one who has time to hear my cry. I need someone I can pour my heart out to.” King David was constantly surrounded by people. He was married and had many companions at his side. Yet we hear the same cry from him: “To whom shall I go?” It is in our nature to want another human being, with a face, eyes and ears, to listen to us and advise us. When Job became overwhelmed by his trials,...

Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci said Thursday on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” that President Donald Trump was “the domestic terrorist of the 21st century.” Scaramucci then compared Trump to Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.
