Mayor Bill de Blasio on Monday slammed Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s plan to fine hospitals as a means of speeding up the state’s highly criticized slow vaccine rollout. “That’s just arrogance,” de Blasio said in an interview with NY1’s Errol Louis of Cuomo’s claims that the monetary penalties could speed up the process. Hizzoner went on to defend the city’s healthcare workers and told Cuomo to lay off the threats. “Does he think that our healthcare professionals are uninterested in vaccinating people? Some freepers are wondering why state legislatures from states with contested presidential election results are just now beginning to assert themselves as have Wisconsin and Georgia, by asking Vice President Pence to delay certification of the electoral college results. The following may just help clarify the matter. Like many of you I have been frustrated by the fact none of the state legislatures of the six/seven states with contested elections have not asserted themselves and invoked their federal constitutional duty to certify their respective states' electors as per requirement of Article I, Section 2, Paragraph 1 of the US Constitution....

President Trump took aim at Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp for opposing his challenge to 2020 election results on Monday even as he called on voters to turn out in record numbers to support Republican Senate candidates in the state’s critical runoff election. Trump ripped Kemp and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, both Republicans, for their handling of his legal challenge in the state, telling a crowd of supporters that they were "terrified" of prominent Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams. The president signaled that he plans to aid a challenge to Kemp in the state’s next gubernatorial primary. "I’ll be here...

Dick Cheney, the former vice president, and Liz Cheney, the third-ranking Republican in the House of Representatives, drew on their significant political capital and decades of experience in Washington to attack the president’s false claims of vote stealing and his undemocratic effort to overturn the election, which President-elect Joe Biden won.

Lance O’Brien, 62, said the mix-up occurred during a conversation he had with the actress’ rep, Mike Pingel, on Sunday — in which O’Brien said he was “blubbering” after an “end of life” visit with Roberts at the hospital. “[Pingel] goes, ‘What happened?’ And I say, ‘I just said goodbye to Tanya, and I got to see her beautiful eyes one last time.’ And after that, I’m just blubbering,” O’Brien recalled. The NHS is at risk of being overwhelmed within three weeks in parts of the country, Britain’s four chief medical officers warned last night as hospital admissions overtook their first-wave peak. In a statement raising Britain’s Covid-19 alert level to five, Professor Chris Whitty and his counterparts in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland said that they were not confident that the service could handle a further sustained rise in cases. Analysis showed that Britain was on course for 100,000 deaths by early February as another record number of infections led to official warnings that “the lives of our friends and...

China’s Generation Z is setting its own rules in the workplace by encouraging a growing philosophy of being lazy. They call it “touching fish”, a term borrowed from a Chinese proverb that states “muddy waters make it easy to catch fish”, which means one should take advantage of a crisis to chase personal gain. The philosophy gained prominence in 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic as the country struggled to deal with its economic fallout. Young people slack off by refusing to work overtime, delivering medium-quality work, going to the toilet frequently and staying there for a long time, playing with...
