Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) told Breitbart News on Saturday that his Democrat opponent in Tuesday’s upcoming runoff election, Jon Ossoff, is “compromised” by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in much the same way other young Democrats have been targeted by CCP agents. Perdue made the allegation on Saturday and it comes after a series of damaging revelations about Ossoff have emerged in recent weeks. It also comes after Ossoff was finally confronted, by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy, about the matter last week on the campaign trail in Georgia. Perdue compared Ossoff, whose documentary film company has financial ties to...

A federal appeals court in California on Thursday ruled to lift a ban on President Donald Trump’s proclamation that blocks immigrants from entering the United States if they lack health insurance or the means to pay for hospital bills. In a Dec. 31 opinion (pdf), the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco said that Trump acted within his authority when, in October 2019, he signed the Proclamation on the Suspension of Entry of Immigrants Who Will Financially Burden the United States Healthcare System. The ruling reverses a federal court decision to block the implementation of the president’s...

A federal appeals court on Saturday affirmed a judge’s ruling to dismiss a lawsuit by Rep. Louie Gohmert and other Republicans that sought to empower Vice President Mike Pence to reject Joe Biden’s electoral victory. A three-judge panel of the Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia agreed with the lower court that Gohmert, a Texas congressman, and his colleagues lacked standing to file the lawsuit. The decision leaves Gohmert with the option to appeal to the Supreme Court before Wednesday’s certification in Congress.

That’s caused a reaction from some on the left, including from Rep. Vice President Chief of Staff Marc Short issued the statement on Saturday saying that Pence, who will be presiding over the Jan. 6 session as president of the senate, is open to considering planned objections by Republican House members and senators to Electoral College votes cast for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Saturday offered blistering criticism of a plan by at least 12 Republican senators to challenge the results of the election next week, warning that they "imperil" public trust. “The egregious ploy to reject electors may enhance the political ambition of some, but dangerously threatens our Democratic Republic. The congressional power to reject electors is reserved for the most extreme and unusual circumstances. These are far from it," Romney said in a statement. Romney had previously told reporters Friday that objecting during Wednesday's joint session, where Congress will formally count the Electoral College vote, would help...

The driver, who escaped with injuries, claimed “the car suddenly got out of control," raising the possibility of a sudden unintended acceleration as the cause of the accident, according to police. It is...

Disclaimer: Please note that the following story is unconfirmed speculation at this stage. I have no idea if it is true and if anyone else but Howell had sent it to me, I wouldn’t be publishing it. However, given Howell’s history of proving me wrong, I am going to just put it out there. For all I know, John Roberts may have some other, perfectly plausible reason for throwing his home nation under a bus. We have no evidence whatsoever of John Roberts wrongdoing. However, any powerful people who were associated with Epstein now have a cloud hanging over them...

According to a screenshot from the committee, Facebook alerted them that the page for the fund was disabled “for policy violation.” The page allegedly violated a policy against unacceptable business practices. “We don’t allow ads that promote products, services, schemes, or offers using...

The new strain has been identified in Colorado, California….and China. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAYdlpbVUNA In December, I noted that there were questions about the potential severity of the disease caused by new coronavirus mutations that were detected in the United Kingdom. Now it is being reported that doctors from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say there is no evidence that the newly detected strains cause a more severe version of the disease or a higher risk of death. “It is important to know that at this time there is no evidence that either of these variants cause more severe disease or...

Major hospital operators say they will comply with new rules to make public their prices for medical procedures starting Friday, exposing previously secret market rates in an industry that accounts for about 6% of the U.S. economy. The roughly $1.2 trillion hospital sector will begin posting prices publicly in the New Year after losing a legal challenge to overturn new transparency rules that are a centerpiece of the Trump administration’s health-care policy. Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said earlier in December the hospital pricing data and other transparency rules put forward by the administration were fundamental to a...

Attorney Sidney Powell told FlashPoint host Gene Bailey in a Dec. 29 interview that Vice President Mike Pence should reject Electoral College votes from states facing legal challenges on grounds of alleged election and voter fraud. “Vice President Pence should simply refuse to accept the illegal electors—the electors from the states in which there was demonstrable, significant fraud,” Powell said. “And if he does that, then it would have to go for President [Donald] Trump.” The power of the vice president to reject electoral votes is disputed. Powell was responding to a series of questions by Bailey about the “viable...
