America's most accurate bellwether counties, regions that have a reputation for accurately picking the president, got the presidential election completely wrong. Here's why. On a cold, wind-swept November afternoon two weeks after election day, the crowds that thronged the beaches of Ottawa County all summer long are but a distant memory. A majority of voters here had backed the eventual winner of presidential elections every time since 1964. Until this year. With a total turnout of 78%, Donald Trump won Ottawa County by a margin of 61% to 38%, improving his 2016 return by four points. "I think people were...

Ever since Kamenya Omoto, a Tokyo-based specialty mask maker and store, announced its intention to buy the rights to people’s faces for 40,000 yen ($380) a pop, it’s been overwhelmed with offers. The company wants to reproduce people’s faces in the form of hyper-realistic masks and sell them for an estimated ($940). If a mask proves popular with clients, the person whose appearance inspired it stands to earn a percentage of the profits as well. The controversial project, named “That Face”, reportedly aims to give a sci-fi twist to the idea of buying and selling faces. Anyone over 20-years-old and...

How permanent an impact a Joe Biden presidency will have comes down almost entirely to what happens in the state of Georgia on Jan. 5, 2021.There’s no doubt a Joe Biden administration is going to have a massive impact on the United States. How permanent an impact it will have, however, comes down almost entirely to what happens in the state of Georgia on Jan. 5, 2021. Like all modern presidents, President Barack Obama used the power of the executive to his benefit, signing orders that ranged from granting amnesty to illegal immigrants to joining the Paris climate agreement. President...

DUBAI - Prominent Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was injured in an attack outside the capital Tehran on Friday and was being treated in a hospital, the semi-official Fars news agency reported. Shortly before, several Iranian news outlets including state broadcaster IRIB said a nuclear and missile scientist had been assassinated in an attack. But there was no official confirmation of a death, and Tehran’s nuclear energy body said there had been no incident.

Yesterday we reported on Lin Wood’s bombshell tweet about an almost $11 million grant award to the Georgia Secretary of State, Republican Brad Raffensperger and his accomplice Gabe Sterling. We wondered who Sterling even was. Now we have more. In a recent tweet Lin Wood zeroed in on an anomaly, or something much, much worse, relating to the Secretary of State’s Office and this almost $11 million transaction with the state of Georgia. Wood’s bombshell tweet refers to an April 15, 2020 letter to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) from Secretary of State Raffensperger, who is also Georgia’s Chief...

... With some exceptions, governments have made great efforts to put the well-being of their people first, acting decisively to protect health and to save lives. The exceptions have been some governments that shrugged off the painful evidence of mounting deaths, with inevitable, grievous consequences. But most governments acted responsibly, imposing strict measures to contain the outbreak. Yet some groups protested, refusing to keep their distance, marching against travel restrictions — as if measures that governments must impose for the good of their people constitute some kind of political assault on autonomy or personal freedom! Looking to the common good...

Random thoughts on a day after Thanksgiving morning. For once in my life, I did not watch a MOMENT of the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Day game and I am a better human being for it. Mashed potatoes done correctly are the best side dish for any large feast. I wonder if Governor Hot Head from New York broke his own rules after saying he was not going to break his own rules after saying he was going to break his own rules. No, I’m not still in a food coma, I’m just keeping score of how all these politicians that...

Moses considered "the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen" (Heb. 11:26-27). When you suffer for Christ, you bear His reproach. How could Moses, who lived 1,500 years before Christ, bear His reproach? Christ is the Greek form of the Hebrew title Messiah, the Anointed One. Many Old Testament personalities were spoken of as being anointed for special service to the Lord. Some have suggested that Moses was thinking...

My daughter was completely overjoyed on her 8th birthday when she received Barbie’s ‘playtime folding fun house.’ She couldn't wait to assemble it, arrange the furniture, and position her various Barbies all over the house. For an eight-year-old, this was not merely a wonderful time, it was pure bliss. With the White House as his ‘presumed’ playhouse, Joe Biden, in his fluctuating mental state, likely is experiencing the same thing at this moment. Biden might well be in the White House in the future, but merely as a guest at some function, for a few hours or less, and that’s...

China on Friday added wine to the growing list of Australian goods barred from its markets in a trade war against Australia over disputes including its support for a probe into the origin of the coronavirus. The Ministry of Commerce imposed import taxes of up to 212.1%, effective Saturday, which Australia’s trade minister said make Australian wine unsellable in China, his country’s biggest export market. China increasingly is using its populous market as leverage to extract political concessions and increase its strategic influence. Earlier, China stopped or reduced imports of beef, coal, barley, seafood, sugar and timber from Australia after...

Wreaths Across America co-founder Karen Worcester celebrated a “happy outcome” following President Trump’s announcement he had “reversed” a decision to cancel the event. Wreaths Across America is a nationwide event involving the laying of wreaths at the graves of America’s fallen heroes each December. The organization states their goal of “coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 1,600 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.” Arlington National Cemetery had announced that they were canceling the event after conducting a “thorough analysis” due to difficulty in maintaining pandemic-era protocols. Reaction to...

Imagine if President Trump could have held the election a week later. The Monday following the vote featured news Pfizer is closing in on a vaccine and that the stock market had reached record highs for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic – both of which could have bolstered Trump’s margins and perhaps spared us the messy court battles ahead. Perhaps he also could have gotten behind another issue – one in keeping with twin goals of his administration for all four years: Helping black people and freeing Americans held captive in other countries. He has personally...

Georgia was apparently on President Donald Trump’s mind Thanksgiving afternoon during a brief question and answer period with reporters. He once again called the state’s election system a fraud. “Well, I told them today I think you’re dealing with a very fraudulent system. You have a system where the flip of a switch or the putting in of a new chip can change the course of history,” Trump said. Trump also said he will visit Georgia on Saturday, Dec. 5th to campaign for Republican Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler. “They should be in the United States Senate. They are...

Pray For the Peace of JerusalemLambs, Sheep, and Shepherds.1 Samuel 16Samuel Anoints David 16 The Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king.” 2 But Samuel said, “How can I go? If Saul hears about it, he will kill me.” The Lord said, “Take a heifer with you and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’ 3 Invite...

On this Black Friday what do you say we reflect, along with The Federalist, on that amazing ‘victory’ Joey B posted? A win the likes of which has never before been witnessed in the entire history of the Republic. Imagine losing a larger share of the black vote than ever before to your Republican opponent and STILL getting 8 million more votes than even the Lightbringer himself: now that’s historic! That’s a remarkable feat for any old career curruptocrat; it’s especially impressive for a basement dwelling, hair sniffing, groping, demented old fool like Joe. A Joe rally, empty circles galoreLet’s review...
