It really was a no-brainer. Democrats all over the country embraced the idea of “defunding the police” in its various guises and many of them lost their races. What’s really all that hard to figure out? Most Americans support the police. They are concerned about some of what they see from cops but overall, they know that a few bad police officers should not condemn the entire law enforcement community. German researchers have discovered the oldest known case of osteopetrosis or "stone bone" disease in the remains of a man from the Neolithic lacustrine settlement of Maliq in southeast Albania. Osteopetrosis is a rare disorder which manifests through the hardening and solidifying of bones, making them more susceptible to fracture. Officials in New York and Portland released images of weapons confiscated during protests Wednesday. The National Guard was called into Portland on Wednesday night after protests turned violent, according to the New York Post. I have to admit, for the first time through this debacle my anger has turned to profound sadness. Sadness for this country I love so much. For my children and grandchildren on the way. My sadness may soon revert back to anger but for the time being the only thing that gives me comfort is my absolute belief that God has a plan.
