In the next 2-3 days, the CDC will make an important decision that could lift up the entire industry. We’ve heard positive noises from the cruise industry for a while now, and the consensus would be that cruising would be allowed again, and the No-Sail-Order would be lifted. The order can be lifted in three different ways: The expiration of the Secretary of Health and Human Services’ declaration that COVID-19 constitutes a public health emergency The CDC Director rescinds or modifies the order based on specific public health or other considerations. The order expires on October 31, 2020, and is...

A closer look at the past month of COVID-19 deaths from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office reveals that the virus is killing only elderly people and/or people with serious underlying health conditions. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office is one of the only in Wisconsin (and perhaps the only) that maintains a comprehensive, publicly available list of the county's deaths and "The Dan O'Donnell Show" used it to create a composite of the "average" COVID-19 death during Wisconsin's current October surge in cases. The average person who died with COVID-19 in October is 75.9 years old with 2.39 comorbidities...

Ram's horn shells are small, delicate spiral structures beachcombers can commonly find throughout the world. Yet despite their ubiquity, the original owners of these shells are extremely elusive. Until now, we've never had footage of a single one in the wild. In the twilight zone of our oceans, at the tips of sunlight's fingers, a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) has now delivered the first footage of a ram's horn squid (Spirula spirula) in its natural habitat. This strange-looking cephalopod is a wee little thing barely 7 centimetres (under 3 inches) in length, with eight arms, two tentacles, a pair of...

I called my friend yesterday who is the township supervisor in my area and also works as a manager for a state rep. She was telling me her boss the state rep was livid that governor fat boy was shutting down restaurants and bars again in cook and lake county. He had her call the health Dept or whatever agency for the numbers to justify this next round of shutdowns. She called the agency and they said they would get her the numbers and information ASAP. Two days later NOTHING. She has spoken to Dr Ezike office personally also about...

Yesterday, after America's biggest tech giant bosses were grilled by a US senate committee, a tweet was posted by Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In it, he asked: 'Why is it a crime to raise doubts about the Holocaust?' Under normal circumstances, one of the world's most powerful leaders directly questioning the very existence of a Nazi-orchestrated genocide of over six million Jews during WWII is the kind of hideously inflammatory statement that a major American newspaper like the New York Post would have wanted to report on and respond to. Not least because New York is home to...

Near the end of September, California's CalCAT modeling system projected a near-doubling in COVID-19 hospitalizations by the end of October, with public health officials warning of a potential surge. "Our short-term forecast for today's conditions predicts an increase in hospitalizations a month from now," California Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly said at the time. "Currently, we're at 2,578 confirmed COVID-positive individuals in the hospitals, but a month from now ... our projections show that we'll be just shy of 5,000 hospitalizations." It is now the end of October, and hospitalizations have not doubled to 5,000. On Wednesday,...

Two sets of data released Thursday by the government paint different pictures of an economy entrenched in the middle of the coronavirus crisis. Third-quarter GDP grew at a record 33.1% annualized rate, indicating the economy significantly clawed back losses over the past three months. The massive gains come as "efforts continued to reopen businesses and resume activities that were postponed or restricted due to COVID-19," the Commerce Department said. The explosive growth, however, comes on the heels of a record-setting drop in Q2 GDP. Economists warn that the fresh data should be looked at in context. "The rebound in Q3...

The Democratic challenger for the closely fought South Carolina senate seat, Jaime Harrison, has said voters in his state will punish the Republican incumbent Lindsey Graham at the ballot box for his reversal on pledges—such as the one he made not to back a Supreme Court candidate during election year.

The biggest pain in Washington is Nancy Pelosi. But if Paul Ryan (RINO) would have done his job, the GOP would have held the house, and nanzi pelosi would still be sidelined. We'd be done with Obamacare, the wall would be further along, and the people would see that the world did not end with these things. We would have seen substantial improvement. We would not have had impeachment, endless investigations, and Pelosi on TV every day talking Trump down, like she did to Bush. And this a$$hole is now running FOX News- and you can see how that is...

Last quarter saw a record-high jump in economic growth: The government’s initial GDP calculation came in at 33.1 percent for the quarter on an annualized basis. While this is a remarkable turnaround from the plunge of 31.4 percent the economy registered in the second quarter, economists say the third-quarter blowout is less than it first appears. “The obvious caveat is that when you drop 30 percent and gain 30 percent, you’re still below where you started,” said Jon Burckett-St. Laurent, senior portfolio manager at Exencial Wealth Advisors. “It’s easier to get big growth rates when you're coming off a lower...

The Prime Minister of Malaysia said Muslims have “a right to be angry and kill millions of French people” just hours after an attacker yelling “Allahu akbar!” beheaded one woman and killed two others in a church in France. The incendiary comments were part of a tweetstorm from Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, who railed against Western culture and French President Emmanuel Macron for refusing to denounce the caricatures of Prophet Mohammad that have sparked three attacks in two months in France. Macron has also vowed to fight “Islamist separatism” in wake of the beheading of school teacher Samuel Paty in a...

Sixty years ago today, with a presidential election looming, John F. Kennedy embarked on a brutal, 18-hour campaign tour of eastern Pennsylvania. The state, then possessing 32 Electoral College votes, was crucial for Kennedy to win against Richard Nixon, the Republican nominee. In the industrial cities and towns that Kennedy’s campaign targeted, it was an exuberant season—and would prove more so after his subsequent victory, especially for those Catholics who viewed the Democratic candidate’s triumph as a kind of cultural enfranchisement. Decades later, in 2016, descendants of those Kennedy supporters were pivotal to Donald Trump’s Pennsylvania victory. As it happens,...

All, I will be hosting a webcast from a Phoenix studio on election night along with Richard Baris of Big Data Poll, the most accurate pollster in 2016, and Tracy Beanz of www.uncoverdc.com. We have a first-class studio set. I think you'll be impressed. Rich will provide the very best data and analysis of the states you'll find. (Reminder: in 2016 he called PA 3 hours before the majors and called FL one hour before the majors). We have also been threatened by youtube to be de-platformed if we make any "early" calls (i.e., honest and correct). Not worried. We...

The U.S. economy grew at a sizzling 33.1% annual rate in the July-September quarter - by far the largest quarterly gain on record - rebounding from an epic plunge in the spring, when the eruption of the coronavirus closed businesses and threw tens of millions out of work. Yet the recovery from the deepest recession since the Great Depression of the 1930s remains far from complete. The Commerce Department’s estimate Thursday of third-quarter growth regained only about two-thirds of the output that was lost early this year when the economy essentially froze as safety orders forced restaurants, bars and many...

Why are President Trump’s rallies packed while Biden’s rallies are deserted? Why are President Trump’s rallies packed while Biden’s rallies are deserted? Where were all the Democrats who joined in the Black Lives Matter riots, who packed the streets of D.C. for the Women’s March, who are wailing in front of the Supreme Court and burning down Portland? The Democrats aren’t campaigning for Joe Biden, but against Donald J. Trump. The Biden-Harris ticket is a placeholder, two candidates picked by Wall Street and Hollywood, by corporate donors looking for the best angle, bringing together a friend of segregationists and the...

Notorious inciter turns to the people he demonizes to save his life. On October 18, Israel’s Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem admitted senior Palestinian diplomat, Saeb Erekat, for emergency treatment relating to complications resulting from contracting Covid-19. At 65-years-old, Erekat suffers from a number of high-risk, co-morbidity factors including a heart condition and a 2017 lung transplant. He is currently connected to an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine and his prognosis is not good. Israeli doctors, who are battling to save his life, said that Erekat is beginning to exhibit signs of multiple organ failure. Erekat is no ordinary Palestinian...
