Although most viewers will not be on the edge of their seats for the final presidential debate tonight, it will be nothing short of a spectacle of frenzied accusations, heated tempers, and vague and incomplete policy descriptions. Debates rarely sway support for either candidate. However, since the first encounter between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden was widely labeled anything but a debate, and the second planned meeting between the two was hastily cancelled, the final debate will give voters one last opportunity to measure each candidate as they spar on the same stage. And it will no doubt provide...

There is a lot of talk about the Pope resigning, being constrained to resign, or being deposed... Let’s consider the question, then, “Can a Pope be deposed?” by first defining our terms. Here, “pope” means the Bishop of Rome, who ex officio is the Vicar of Christ and the Successor of Saint Peter... The first determination we must make is to distinguish the auxiliary verb “can”. A thing can be done physically, morally and legally. An enemy of the Church could arrest the Pope, force him under pain of death to sign a decree of abdication. That is a physical...

Just before I went on air with Tucker last night, word came that the directors of the FBI and National Intelligence needed to rush onto our screens right now with an emergency news conference on "election security". In a country where judges extend mail-in deadlines at random and postal workers dump completed ballots in the trash and multiple vote forms are sent unsolicited to addresses of foreign nationals, "election security" is a joke of which all US citizens should be ashamed. As I've said on Rush and elsewhere, the looming chaos of November 3rd is a conscious choice.

Rarely has our nation seen a judge more competent and qualified to serve on the Supreme Court than Amy Coney Barrett. During her confirmation hearing, she held me in thrall with the magnificence of her mind. Only once before has anyone inspired the thought, "Greatness walks amongst us." His name is Trey Gowdy. In Amy Coney Barrett, I feel the same awe and chills once again. With Amy's confirmation, Lady Justice will no longer peek from underneath her blindfold. No longer will there be a finger surreptitiously pushing down on one side of her Scales of Justice. When Barrett's Senate...

Every now and then, a man, a mission, and a moment all come together. Such is now the case with Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, who this week introduced, with several cosponsors, S.J.Res. 76, a constitutional amendment to hold the number of justices on the Supreme Court at nine. It’s an axiom of conservatism that “If it is not necessary to change, then it is necessary not to change.” In other words, in more modern language, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But what if it is broke? Or, worse still, what if you know that something working fine...

If you write three red banners on google you will get information about China’s ideological slogan prominent in the Chinese political scene of the 1950s that have people all in a kerfuffle as well. The “Three Red Banners” also called the “Three Red Flags,” consisted of General Line for socialist construction, the Great Leap Forward and the people’s communes. After the first Five-Year Plan, the People’s Republic of China continued its socialist construction by introducing the “Three Red Banners Movement”. General Line directed the Chinese people to “go all out, aim high, and build socialism with greater, faster, better, and...

A federal court in California on Thursday ruled against President Trump's order to exclude undocumented immigrants from the census count for apportioning congressional seats, dealing the administration its second court loss over the July executive memorandum. A panel of three judges for the U.S. District Court in the Northern District of California ruled that the memo was unconstitutional and violated laws governing the census. "The policy which the Presidential Memorandum attempts to enact has already been rejected by the Constitution, the applicable statutes, and 230 years of history," the panel wrote in a 90-page decision. The order forbids the Commerce...

Want a little reminder of how amazingly clever we humans can be? Yesterday, from a distance of more than 320 million kilometres (200 million miles) away, NASA scientists piloted a spacecraft to gently touch down on a spinning asteroid, collecting a sample of surface rubble to bring back home to Earth. At 6:08 PM EDT, the signal from spacecraft OSIRIS-REx reached Earth to let us know that it had successfully touched down at the Nightingale collection site on asteroid Bennu, within a metre (three feet) of its target, and safely bounced back up again after just 6 seconds of contact....

So here we are, faced with the re-election of President Donald Trump and the prospect of a nation still struggling against Covid-19, reeling from the ravages of a flattened economy and in pain from civil unrest and our genuine concern for how we treat one another. I, of course, disagree with Biden on many issues and policies, sometimes vigorously; and it is my fervent hope that he will pursue policies that will help our country heal. But this election is not about those issues or policies. Rather, it is about the course of a nation and the character of her...

Washington -- Two weeks from today, we shall know who is to be our next president. Or perhaps we will not know who is to be our next president two weeks from today. It might take three or four weeks. It might take the laborious workings of the courts all the way up to the Supreme Court. Actually, we may never know who won the 2020 election. We might have a runoff in 2021. You think not? Well, look how screwed up the 2016 election became. The Democrats were holding out for Hillary for months. Some were holding out for...

With less than two weeks left before the 2020 presidential election, former White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove said it would be more “effective” for the Trump campaign to focus on the economy as opposed to the Hunter Biden “scandal.” Rove made the statement on “America’s Newsroom” on Wednesday shortly after Trump 2020 Campaign National Press Secretary Hogan Gidley appeared on the program and explained the campaign strategy to focus on Hunter Biden and his international business dealings to attack Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. “The president isn't talking about Hunter Biden. What he is talking about is...

When Jew-hatred becomes normalized in the streets. The legacy of anti-Semitism in Europe is a long and painful one. It had its culmination in the Holocaust. Today, while Europe’s democratic governments profess their intentions to combat anti-Semitism, the influx of millions of Muslim migrants from throughout the Middle East has intensified the residual anti-Semitism embedded in the subconscious of many Europeans. The European-born Muslims, along with the migrant newcomers, were honed on hatred of Jews thanks to the media and mosque indoctrination in their native lands. The Middle East Muslim migrants have additionally brought along with them a deep hatred...

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all” (2 Corinthians 13:14). This familiar verse is often used as a benediction in church services, but it is more than a benediction. It is Paul’s summary of everything he has been teaching the Corinthians about God’s love. 1. The grace of Jesus Christ Paul says grace will “[teach] us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age” (Titus 2:12). In order to live holy and pure lives, we...
