Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina, the richest woman in Russia and the widow of Yury Luzhkov, the former mayor of Moscow, Senate Republicans revealed in their report on the younger Biden’s work in Ukraine. Baturina is referenced in the 87-page report, which was released Wednesday, addressing her payment to Biden’s investment firm in early 2014. “Baturina became Russia’s only female billionaire when her plastics company, Inteko, received a series of Moscow municipal contracts while her husband was mayor,” it said in providing background on the businesswoman. The report described her involvement with Biden as...

I am technologically unable to make a 60 second radio or TV ad out of this kind of thing, but I would raise money to get it played over and over again. I am sick and tired of the lies --- and this is a big one they just keep repeating. I heard and then saw the above source example. What an ad needs are one or two instances where prominent libs state that Trump has never condemned white supremacists, followed by the dates and times with audio/video quotes where he specifically DID. A lib friend hit me with this...

HOUSTON – Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner signed an Executive Order Monday authorizing a cite-and-release program for certain low-level, non-violent offenses, allowing officers to issue tickets for some Class A and B misdemeanors, instead of making an arrest. The policy change will go into effect Tuesday at 6 a.m. “The cite-and-release program has been implemented in other cities where it has helped to reduce jail population,” Turner said in a press conference Monday. He added that the move would “improve response times by getting officers back into service, more quickly.” “Cite-and-release is a more humane method of dealing with low-level offenders...

After presidential debate number one devolved into everyone talking at once, would anyone want to follow Fox's Chris Wallace into the moderator's hot seat? Erie's Steve Scully is the seasoned journalist tapped for the task and in a Zoom interview he told me he's ready. "Well I can feel the Erie support so I appreciate that and I am looking forward to it," Scully said. Presidential debate number two with Scully, host of C-SPAN's Washington Journal moderating, will be a town hall style debate with the questions coming from some 30 undecided voters in three south Florida counties. "And so...

It’s because of Joe Biden that blacks who use cocaine get more time in prison than whites I think drugs should be legal. They had to amend the Constitution when the federal government banned alcohol, and I don’t see anything different in the Constitution that lets the federal government ban cocaine without also amending the Constitution. It’s because of Joe Biden that blacks who use cocaine get more time in prison than whites. The New York Times wrote the following about Joe Biden:Joe Biden on Crime and Mass IncarcerationDuring the ’80s and ’90s, Mr. Biden helped shepherd a string of bills...

C-SPAN’s Steve Scully, who will moderate the second presidential debate, got his start as a staff assistant in Sen. Ted Kennedy’s communication office, and prior to that worked as in intern in the office of then-senator Joe Biden. The second presidential debate is scheduled for October 15, just two weeks from now. Scully’s complete work and education records — both impressive — can be found here on his page at George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs. You might know Scully as the guy who handles C-SPAN’s open phone lines, a job he handles affably and with grace....

If there is one unifying strand that runs through the character of our nation, it is that America loves an underdog. From the Revolution, to Roosevelt, to Rocky, our country has always embraced the fighting spirit of those who triumph against difficult odds to achieve a worthy cause. Conversely we hold far less affection for those in authority who wield power with abandon, entrenched elites who write the rules to keep everyone in their place. The story of our nation is an ongoing tale of these opposing forces; the elites who thrive on power and demand allegiance to their dictates,...

For mouthless, lungless bacteria, breathing is a bit more complicated than it is for humans. We inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide; Geobacter - a ubiquitous, groundwater-dwelling genus of bacteria - swallow up organic waste and 'exhale' electrons, generating a tiny electric current in the process. Those waste electrons always need somewhere to go (usually into a plentiful underground mineral like iron oxide), and Geobacter have an unconventional tool to make sure they get there. "Geobacter breathe through what is essentially a giant snorkel, hundreds of times their size," Nikhil Malvankar, an assistant professor at Yale University's Microbial Science Institute...

60 years together Their three kids, all successful, agreed to a Sunday dinner in their honor. "Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad," gushed Son No. 1 'Sorry I'm running late. I had an emergency at the hospital with a patient, you know how it is, and I didn't have time to get you a gift." "Not to worry," said the father. "Important thing is we're all together today." Son No. 2 arrived. "You and Mom look great. Dad, I just flew in from Montreal between depositions and didn't have time to shop for you." “It’s nothing," said the father "We're glad...

U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said on Fox News on Thursday that talks with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had made progress, but no deal has been reached. Democrats have resisted reaching a deal with Republicans, with some Democratic politicians and strategists worried that any deal to boost the economy might help Trump’s re-election efforts. Some liberal activists oppose any deals with the Trump administration under any circumstances.

“This is about learning. And about how we can make it better,” he said, speaking from the couple´s home in Santa Barbara, California. The couple released a list of Black people recognized for challenging prejudice, calling them “next gen trailblazers,” along with an opinion piece in the newspaper. “For as long as structural racism exists, there will be generations of young people of colour who do not start their lives with the same equality of opportunity as their white peers,” wrote the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as Harry and Meghan are formally known. (CNN) New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo argued that nursing homes "never needed" to accept Covid-positive patients from hospitals in the state. During a press call Wednesday, Finger Lakes News Radio asked Cuomo about his administration's advisory in late March requiring that nursing homes accept the readmission of patients from hospitals, even if they were positive for Covid-19. Cuomo argued that the advisory was a precaution if hospitals became overwhelmed -- calling it an "anticipatory rule" -- which he said didn't happen. "We never needed nursing home beds because we always had hospital beds," Cuomo told Finger Lakes News. "So it...

You can’t run a police state without snitches. There could never be enough police. In the UK as in East Germany, there is no shortage of informants. They managed to ruin a 10-year-old girl’s birthday party by ratting her out...One day authorities will get it through to Macdonald that Big Government is all the family she needs. For now, she has been placed on a coronavirus watchlist, so she had better wear her mask and refrain from placing anti-lockdown signs in the window. African countries don’t have the means to impose lockdowns and a panopticon government like the UK. COVID-19...

Who defines what organizations are "Hate" groups? To some people, Christians are hate groups, to others, the Muslim religion is a hate group. Some might call the Boy Scouts a survivalist exclusionary training ground. And the list could go on and on. When a "reporter" asks President Trump to denounce White Supremacist groups, and he asks to give him a name of the group, that is a fair question. Someone in this country probably believes that Santa Clause leads a hate organization called, Christmas. It is a sad state of affairs the country I love has entered into.

The new measure requires certain merchants to provide price lists for standard services upon request and notifies them that gender-based price discrimination is prohibited under state law. For example, if the price to dry-clean a woman's suit jacket is $12 but only $8 for a man's, it would violate the law, the governor's office said.

Katie Pavlich| @KatiePavlich|Posted: Jul 16, 2020 uring an event at the National Press Club in Washington D.C., Biden campaign advisor Ron Klein, who also worked for Vice President Biden in the White House and led the response to the Ebola outbreak, explained how the Obama administration did "everything wrong" in response to the 2009 swine flu crisis. "I wasn't involved directly in the H1N1 response but I lived through it as a White House staffer and what I would say about it is a bunch of really talented, really great people were working on it and we did every possible...

Gathering limits are back in Pennsylvania, at least for now, following the latest federal court ruling on the topic. What does it mean for schools that host high school football games or other such events Friday night or this weekend? Pa. Gov. Tom Wolf’s advice is to stay tuned. The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said Thursday that the Wolf administration’s coronavirus mitigation gathering limits -- 250 people at outdoor events and 25 at indoor ones -- are back in play again while the appeal process works itself through the court system. The news comes after U.S. District Judge...
