A Handmaid’s Tale is becoming, for American Christians, what the Protocols of the Elders of Zion has been for Jews. Margaret Atwood’s dystopian 1985 novel tells stories of women living in a hellish American theocracy. The Protocols of the Elders of Zion claimed to be the minutes of a secret Jewish conspiracy meeting, held late in the 1800s. Protocols was written as slanderous propaganda, intended to justify hatred. Whatever Atwood intended, that’s become the role A Handmaid’s Tale increasingly plays here — especially now that it’s a hit Netflix show.

The New York Times on Sunday revealed portions of President Donald Trump’s tax returns. The data dates back over 20 years. Trump “paid no income taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years — largely because he reported losing much more money than he made,” the report says. Additionally, Trump paid $750 in federal income taxes in 2016 and another $750 in 2017. The data obtained does not show The President’s personal returns for 2018 or 2019.

California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom continues to sign radical and dangerous legislation passed by the Democrat-dominated State Senate. President Trump's nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court was the perfect cover for Newsom to sign legislation allowing California inmates to be assigned to prison based on their gender identity. What could possibly go wrong? California is closed down, on fire, in debt, and its green electric grid is causing rolling blackouts. But it's full speed ahead on the leftist agenda for the Democrat-controlled Senate and Gov. Newsom. The new bill abandons the long-established practice of assigning inmates to...

Ok folks. Another upbraiding. And I say this in love. STOP THE "MUH FRAUD" HANDWRINGING. I get the news about Bull Durham, which I told you for two years was coming (i.e., nothing). This is life. No one is going to indict 60 sitting senators or 300 House members. I would never want to be in a foxhole with some of you. King Leonidas: "100,000 Persians? We can take 'em." Some of you: 5,000 mail-in votes? WE'RE DOOMED! So listen to me and listen good: WE. ARE. WINNING. We are winning so huge that the DemoKKKrats have literally resorted...

A church with one service a week will likely sing over 200 songs in a year. Our church has five services in two languages at two sites on Sunday. We also have Wednesday night programming. Throw in the student service and children’s ministry, and we probably sing close to 2,000 songs in a year (obviously some are sung more than once).Songs elicit emotion. That’s how the art form works. Worship is no exception. Most have a favorite worship song. Most will have a few worship songs they don’t like. One song can mean something different to two people standing next...

“Liberty does not exist in the absence of morality.”—Edmund Burke Ladies and gentlemen, the Democrat Party is becoming unhinged before our very eyes. Just when you thought the donkey party couldn’t get any more irrational, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s death has unleashed a wave of Democrat derangement that confirms the belief of many patriotic Americans, that this party is immoral. Because of Republicans daring to follow the Constitution in the selection of a new Supreme Court justice, Democrats have threatened to pack the courts, eliminate the filibuster in the Senate, weaken and/or remove the electoral college and burn...

The conventional wisdom of the American chattering classes at the moment seems to be that Joe Biden was the moderate, middle-of-the-road choice for Democratic primary voters: Not too Communist, not too radical, and not too unsettling for the working-class voters that voted for Trump in 2016. The logic of this seems to be primarily based on two factors. First, Biden is old. In fact, at times he appears to be visibly aging before our eyes as he muddles through TV segments that are intentionally short but seem interminably long. The second factor is that he is not Bernie Sanders, and...

Sen. Lindsey Graham, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said Sunday that an escalated timeline for Supreme Court nominee Judge Amy Coney Barrett will allow for a vote before Halloween — as a number of lawmakers said her confirmation is all but assured. “So we’ll start on Oct. 12, and more than half of the Supreme Court justices who have had hearings were done within 16 days or less,” Graham said on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.” “We’ll have a day of introduction. We’ll have two days of questioning, Tuesday and Wednesday, and on the 15th we’ll begin to...

...Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) warned Saturday that President Trump is counting on Judge Amy Coney Barrett to “swing the Court in his favor when he loses the election.” “If this feels like it’s personal, that’s because it is. Americans don’t like to be cheated, and we’ve been cheated big time,” Warren said following Trump formally announcing Barrett as his nominee, accusing Republicans of making up a “brand new rule” in 2016 and going back on said rule ahead of the 2020 election. Republicans, she said, are changing rules to “ram through” Trump’s nominee, declaring that the GOP has now “stolen”...

President Donald Trump will nominate a woman to succeed Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Saturday, and observers expect him to choose Amy Coney Barrett, a judge on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. On Friday, after news outlets reported that Trump would choose Barrett, HBO host Bill Maher savaged the potential nominee for her Roman Catholic faith. Yet perhaps no one has given a better response to such anti-religious bigotry than Barrett herself. “Apparently, the pick is going to be Amy Coney. We’re going to be saying the name a lot because she’s a f***ing nut. Religion, I...

If you want to know the roots of the country’s present polarization over the Supreme Court, we have to go back. No, not to the contentious hearings for Brett Kavanaugh two years ago, nor to Sen. McConnell’s decision to deny a hearing or confirmation vote to Merrick Garland, who was President Obama’s 2016 pick to replace Justice Scalia. We must go even farther back than the drama of the Clarence Thomas hearing in 1991 or the attacks on Robert Bork’s character in 1987. The real point of origin is one of the first judicial controversies in the history of the...

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives passed the Equity and Inclusion Enforcement Act (H.R. 2574) by a vote of 232-188, allowing private individuals to file lawsuits under the Civil Rights Act’s Title VI authority. This will allow students and parents to remedy discrimination in education. Before the vote, House Republicans proposed adding a six-line amendment to the Democrat-backed bill to combat antisemitism. Prior to this amendment, the protected classes were listed as “race, color, or national origin.” The Republicans proposed inserting, “In carrying out the responsibilities of the recipient under this title, the employee or employees designated under this section...
