Dulles, Virginia – For only the second time in 18 years, I will not be in New York City this weekend. The annual Tunnel to Towers Run, normally scheduled for the last Sunday in September, is another casualty of COVID. The mayor’s regulations continue to keep businesses closed and tourists away. And with residents moving out, they also seem to have dampened the city’s famous fighting spirit that I first came to know as a student at New York University.  It’s ironic that the Tunnel to Towers Run was forced to cancel, because it is anything but a salute to...

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown (D) declared a state of emergency ahead of this weekend’s far-right rally in Portland. The decision also comes after protesters and police clashed during demonstrations over the grand jury decision not to directly indict any officer involved in the killing of Breonna Taylor in Louisville, Ky.

In almost one-third of the days of September, the Biden campaign has called a “lid”—meaning no further events or candidate appearances—by 9 am in the morning. People used to joke that Ronald Reagan was only a 9 to 5 president, with a nap after lunch. (Not true: he was usually answering personal correspondence.) Is Biden going to be an 9 – 1o am president? And has Kamala Harris been put into the witness protection program? She still hasn’t held a press conference or made a major appearance since she was nominated to be Biden’s running mate. Meanwhile, let’s get ready...

You cannot have your cake and eat it, too. It is a tale as old as time. But apparently, with its latest “Most Favored Nation” executive order on drug pricing, the Trump administration has stumbled upon a solution to this conundrum. Or so they would have you believe. The entire phenomenon centers around the hotly contested Affordable Care Act (ACA), or Obamacare. On one hand, the Trump administration is litigating before the Supreme Court in favor of the entire law being struck down as unconstitutional. On the other hand, the administration would like to use an obscure provision within the very...

Starting on Aug. 23rd, rioting took place in Kenosha for multiple days. People were upset about the police shooting of Jacob Blake. Buildings and businesses were set ablaze and livelihoods were destroyed. Townhall's own Julio Rosas was on the ground covering the chaos. According to Heather Wessling, the vice president of economic development for the Kenosha Area Business Alliance, 100 businesses have sustained significant damage and roughly 40 businesses are "out of business" for good. Based on the business association's findings, which were announced two weeks ago, around $50 million in damage was done to buildings and businesses. One month...

Editor's Note: This piece was co-authored by Kevin Dang and Anh Tu Do.After the fall of Saigon in April 1975, the unbearable oppression from the Vietnamese Communist regime forced nearly half a million people to escape the country in search of freedom, democracy, and a better life. Our families were some of the lucky ones if you want to call it “luck.” Fleeing Vietnam was a heartbreaking and terrifying experience for our family members who made it out. Not only did so many leave family behind, both young and old, but the journey was a harrowing one filled with dangers....

Recently, someone asked me: “How do we end systematic educational institutional propaganda and lying?” To which I replied, “We must defund them. Entirely. And abolish the NEA. Privatize, etc.” However, I added that “No one has the cojones to do that. And, if they did, more cities would burn, of course.” The unacknowledged fact is that that is how the left manages to rule the country as a minority. That’s right, we currently, effectively, have minority rule in the United States of America. Believe there are only two genders? Get ready to be mocked, ridiculed, fired from your job. Don’t...

"Take . . . the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" (Eph. 6:17). Despite Satanic opposition, God’s Word will accomplish its work in His people. In Matthew 13 Jesus tells the parable of the sower and the seed: "Behold, the sower went out to sow; and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up. And others fell upon the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up. . . . But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because...

With the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, I didn't think it was possible for politics to get any crazier, but it has. The left, predictably, is having a collective meltdown over the passing of RBG – not because she's dead, but because she was inconsiderate enough to die when it might sabotage the progressive agenda. To see what I mean, take a gander at the video below (warning: obscene language): Now remember, it's not as though someone else caught this woman during a bad moment. She's alone in her car and deliberately recorded herself having this ridiculous temper tantrum, then...

President Donald Trump used the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) to deliver a powerful broadside against the great adversary of our time, communist China. His speech served as a timely reminder of one of the critical differences between himself and the cellar-dwelling Democrat establishment doyen-turned-Trojan Horse of the Left opposing him, former Vice President Joe Biden. The difference is this: President Trump, long a critic of the globalist establishment's China policy of integration and accommodation, has matched his word with deed as commander-in-chief, comprehensively confronting the People's Republic of China (PRC). Former Vice President Biden, long...

It didn't matter what the findings of the Breonna Taylor grand jury were going to be. Black Lives Matters and their sympathizers were well prepared to riot on Wednesday night in Louisville and other cities, like New York and Washington. The video of that rented U-Haul filled with big signs and who-knows-what-else is all the proof you need that their "peaceful protest" was a planned operation. Taking over the streets, burning down buildings, destroying businesses, shooting things at police and roughing up ordinary citizens was like a summer job for protesters in dozens of our cities. Now it looks like...

In cities like Baltimore, MD, it’s not easy for a black Republican to run for office. It may sound like a cliche, but stories like this show that in these cities, the opposition will stop at nothing to maintain the status quo. This reality became even more evident during a Zoom debate between candidates seeking to become the next mayor of the city. Pastor Shannon Wright is a black Republican candidate who is attempting to end the streak of Democratic domination of the office of mayor. But, as a conservative running in a heavily blue city, she has run into...

Searchers combing the area where a Ukrainian military aircraft crashed found two more bodies Saturday, bringing the death toll to 26. One person survived. The plane, a twin-turboprop Antonov-26 belonging to the Ukrainian air force, was carrying a crew of seven and 20 cadets of a military aviation school when it crashed and burst into flames Friday night while coming in for landing at the airport in Chuhuiv, about 400 kilometers (250 miles) east of the capital Kyiv. Two people initially survived the crash, but one later died in a hospital. No cause for the crash has been determined.
