Unlike Joe Biden, We Know President Donald Trump Has Our Backs

Editor's Note: This piece was co-authored by Kevin Dang and Anh Tu Do.

After the fall of Saigon in April 1975, the unbearable oppression from the Vietnamese Communist regime forced nearly half a million people to escape the country in search of freedom, democracy, and a better life.

Our families were some of the lucky ones if you want to call it “luck.” Fleeing Vietnam was a heartbreaking and terrifying experience for our family members who made it out. Not only did so many leave family behind, both young and old, but the journey was a harrowing one filled with dangers. The chance of being captured by the Vietnamese Coast Guards and imprisoned by the Vietnamese communist government was high and always present.

Unfortunately, then-Sen. Joe Biden, now the Democrat nominee for President, was strongly opposed to the evacuations of South Vietnamese , and was adamant that the U.S. had "no obligation, moral or otherwise, to evacuate foreign nationals”, despite the fact that the United States has had a long tradition of opening its doors to immigrants from all countries around the world. Biden’s callous statements and inhumane behavior towards the South Vietnamese who were US allies are disgraceful and despicable. For Biden to negate the fact that hundreds of thousands of South Vietnamese soldiers were in danger of recriminations from the Communists, and insisted that “the United States has no obligation to evacuate one or 100,001 South Vietnamese”, he had not only disparaged the US’s former allies, but also undervalued humanitarianism.

Despite strong opposition from Biden, President Ford’s administration was able to manage the evacuation of hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese refugees and resettled them in various parts of the US.

The story of so many Vietnamese-Americans is a story of perseverance and survival. We, the younger Vietnamese generation, are forever indebted to our parents for their sacrifices and resilience in search of a better life for us in America.

For nearly 50 years since the fall of Saigon, Vietnamese Americans living in the U.S. have proven to Biden and other radical, heart-less Democrats that we have overcome the obstacles and enrich the fabric of American society. Vietnamese Americans have made countless achievements in a wide variety of fields – be it the business sector, health industry, political arena, or education area. We worked hard to overcome the language and cultural barriers so as to integrate ourselves into the American way of life. Working hard and being good citizens, we believe, are ways to express our gratitude and give back to the American people.

More than 3 million Vietnamese Americans residing in the US will always be grateful for the generosity and philanthropic traditions of the American people. To those American people who have welcomed our presence and embraced our Vietnamese culture, please know that we are forever thankful for your benevolence. To Biden and other American people who rejected our presence and repudiated our contribution, please understand that we are very appreciative of the opportunity to call the United States of America, the greatest nation on Earth, “home.”

We are also indebted to this country, the greatest nation of the face of the earth, and we understand that President Trump will always put the American people first.

A lotta Vietnamese settled in my home state and region (south Louisiana) due to similarities in language and culture (French and Catholic). They have been a huge positive force there (and wherever else they landed).

Biden ... insisted that “the United States has no obligation to evacuate one or 100,001 South Vietnamese”, he had not only disparaged the US’s former allies, but also undervalued humanitarianism.

This same Democrat attitude that undervalued Vietnamese lives because they were too lowly carries over today in the Democrat's attitude toward preborn people.

......aboard the USS Hector and attached to ComServGru3, we came within 1,000 miles of South Vietnam. With the war “hot” at that time, I was glad for that and had my best ever Liberty in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Being a Vet of that era, I have mixed opinions of the Vietnamese people but one opinion of the ones that made it to America is that I would bet out of 3 million you could count on the fingers of your hands the number of homeless Vietnamese people in America. As a CLASS of people, they arguably are the billboard for the type immigrant and “citizen” America needs.

Not to mention their attitude toward "knuckle-dragging hicks, rednecks, and hillbillies in flyover territory".

Joe Biden is not just a cranky senile man who flies off the handle occasionally.

He was an irritable, preening, self-obsessed man back in the 1970’s when I first started noticing him.

My Dad was a life-long Democrat who rose from poverty by working at the CCC in the depression, and was thankful to FDR for that for the rest of his life.

He died in 1997, and never had negative words to say about anyone, except Joe Biden. Two characteristics of Biden stood out.

1. Biden’s opposition to the evacuation of Vietnamese to the USA. My Dad thought that only a very cruel, heartless man would do oppose their quest for freedom.

2. Biden’s long-winded questions whenever the news cameras were on him during congressional hearings. Dad would say, “Why can’t he just get on with the questions. Why must he carry on-and-on for 10 minutes. That camera hog is obsessively vain.”

I agree, some of my family members are Democrats. I love them; we agree to disagree. We steer clear of political discussions.

What you Dad said about Joe Biden was spot ON then but now he is also afflicted with SENILITY.
(I’m not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV but we took care of Mother for the last 18 months of her life & Biden has the exact SAME symptoms as Mother did in her last 6-9 months of life.)

Because of those symptoms of mental disease, Biden is NO LONGER mentally fit to be in any position of authority or responsibility that requires mental acuity, the ability to string facts together into a coherent whole & certainly NOT to be POTUS nor even to be able to campaign successfully for that office.
(IMO, that’s why his puppet-masters are “hiding him in the basement” & away from the general public.- I strongly suspect, that regardless of how well that he is “rehearsed” for the debates, that his ever-increasing mental disability will become OBVIOUS to all & he will “fall on his face”, when trying to answer the questions posed by the moderators.)

ImVho, the “leaders” of the DIMocRATS clown-car will do everything possible to AVOID Biden being in any more situations where ordinary people like me will SEE for themselves what Biden’s mental condition now IS. - This means that they will make more & more excuses for Biden NOT appearing at public/political events, including the other “scheduled debates”.

Finally, I will not be surprised if Biden is dead by Christmas & perhaps he may NOT be alive on 03NOV20.

Just my OPINIONS, TMN78247

Uh, no. Trump is allowing 400,000 H1-b workers from foreign countries a place to stay here and take the jobs in IT Obama promised for ‘us’ citizens.

One of the other major concentrations of Vietnamese from that wave, is in Northern Virginia, near DC - a battleground State in this election.

Also, a (perhaps the) biggest beneficiary of President Trump’s trade crackdown on Chia, has been Vietnam.

Most of the Vietnamese here are from South Vietnam, which historically and culturally was within the sphere of Indian/Thai/Khmer culture, while the Northerners were more part of the Chinese cultural sphere. So Southerners particularly have some apprehension about Chinese expansion and bullying.

But since China invaded Vietnam in the late 1970’s, Vietnam as a whole has viewed China as its main military threat.

Found this on another forum—too funny and made my day:

“After checking out the yard signs in the area I can now predict the results of the 2020 election:

First place: President Trump

Second place: Garage Sale

Third place: Biden

;-)

Which comment has precisely NOT A THING to do with my post. Go grind your ax elsewhere.
