An Elgin, South Carolina man allegedly planned attacks on American soil, and wanted to carry out violence on behalf of ISIS, a federal affidavit shows. Kristopher Sean Matthews, who also went by the alias “Ali Jibreel,” communicated and conspired with other ISIS supporters over a period of months, including a Texas man named Jaylyn Christopher Molina, according to the documents from the US District Court for the Western District of Texas in San Antonio. Late-night comedians got serious on Wednesday following a Kentucky grand jury’s decision to not indict the police officers involved in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor. The grand jury’s decision ignited widespread protests and violence throughout Louisville, with demonstrations cropping up in other cities across the country. In Louisville, two police officers were shot amid the rioting. Officials said the two cops are in stable condition and the suspect is in custody.

Two officers who were shot while downtown responding to protests in the wake of the Breonna Taylor decision are expected to be OK.
