Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is committing at least $100 million to help Joe Biden’s presidential campaign in the crucial battleground state of Florida. Bloomberg’s late-stage infusion of cash reflects Democrats’ concerns about the tight race in a state that is a priority for President Donald Trump. A victory for Biden in Florida, the largest of the perennial battleground states, would significantly complicate Trump’s path to reaching the 270 Electoral College votes needed to secure a second term. Republicans, however, feel confident in their chances in the state, pointing to GOP wins in 2018 and stronger-than-expected turnout in...

There are also questions about the role of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases’ (NIAID), a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) headed by Dr. Anthony Fauci, in directing U.S. grant funds to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the nature of the experiments that funding supported. With that, I am calling for an investigation of NIAID’s controversial research collaboration with China regarding the origin of the COVID-19 virus. A Senate committee or Justice Department investigation would be a good start. I have written a series of articles on this topic, which you can find here.

...I noted on Twitter earlier that when she left DOJ in 2010, she was at the 19-year mark, which meant that her DOJ pension had not yet fully vested. By returning in March 2019, expecting to serve one year, she would reach the 20 year service time for full vesting of her pension benefits... The “filter team” then has to determine if any specific evidence collected in the IG investigation was produced solely as a result of information learned from a “compelled” statement. If such evidence is found, that evidence is “fruit of the poisonous tree” and is “filtered out”...

According to Wikipedia, historians use a period of between 22 and 33 years' duration to define a generation. Let’s use the midpoint of 55 years for two generations. That takes us back to 1965. That year in particular is memorable to me since Dad decided that we needed to leave Baltimore and move to Southern California. He rented a 6 foot by 8 foot U-Haul trailer; loaded my parents’ bedroom furniture and some clothing for all of us and one item of small size that was personal. That was kind of tough for a family with six kids. I lament...

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…I was a Madison Avenue copywriter. I was thrilled, until I realized I was a liar for hire. I was assigned an ad for a diet aid. The account executive sent out the marketing strategy. When I read it, I felt something akin to an inner eye squint, the feeling you get when you suspect you’re being conned. I realized we were being asked to market this rather dubious product to young, anorexic women by capitalizing on their already-fragile sense of self and lying to them about what the product could...

Navid Afkari, a 27-year old political prisoner who took part in protests back in August 2018, was executed early Saturday morning, despite a global campaign calling on Iran to revoke his death sentence. Navid sent many messages from prison saying he was tortured into confessing to crimes he did not commit. However, Iran executes political prisoner Navid Afkari despite an international outcry. Navid’s lawyer, Hassan Younesi said that his parents were not allowed the last visit with their son. “You were in such a hurry to execute him that you deprived Navid of his last visit?” he tweeted addressing the...

There's always that last straw that breaks the camel's back. Now there is a pile of straw that is about to break the American donkey's back. There is ample evidence of that. Recently, the United States has faced not one, but two serious crises that have demonstrated a complete incompetence of local Democratic governments and aggravated the issues they already had. The crises we're talking about are COVID-19 and nationwide protests accompanied by violence and crime. Even though the recent touted "research" suggests that 90 percent of those protests were peaceful (would you like to be on a diet that...

A Black Lives Matter mob swarmed the hospital where two deputies were taken for treatment after being ambushed and shot....The “activists,” who have widespread support from Democrat politicians and nearly every major corporation, did chants wishing death upon the officers after they arrived at the hospital. The BLM mob was screaming “We hope the bitch dies!” at the police as they reached the hospital where the young mother and police officer was being treated....

Source: Myra AdamsToday we study a fascinating and significant New Testament passage. It describes an event known as the “Transfiguration” – when the physical appearance of Jesus was changed, and his Divinity was revealed with radiant glory. There were three witnesses – the Disciples Peter, John, and James. The Transfiguration is recorded in three of the four Gospels – (Matthew 17:1–12), (Mark 9:2-8), (Luke 9:28-36) and alluded to in the fourth – (John 1-14): We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.Additionally, Peter, having observed this supernatural occurrence,...

Someone is trying to discredit whatever it is that’s coming down the pike, through shoddy and speculative Hartford Courant story about prosecutor resignation, which suggests that something is about to happen....I haven’t had much hope for the investigation being conducted by prosecutor John Durham. Not because of anything particular to the Durham investigation, but we’ve been disappointed too many times before....The Hartford Courant ran a shoddy piece of gossiping about a lawyer on the Durham team leaving supposedly because she didn’t like the political pressure on the probe. Or at least, that’s what the headline suggests, Nora Dannehy, Connecticut prosecutor...

The deputies, a 24-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, were both in critical condition and “fighting for their lives” as they underwent surgery following the attack, which occurred around 7 p.m. local time outside a Metro rail station in Compton, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. "Moments ago, 2 of our Sheriff Deputies were shot in Compton and were transported to a local hospital," the department tweeted. "They are both still fighting for their lives, so please keep them in your thoughts and prayers." The deputies were out of surgery by 11 p.m. PT, according to KABC-TV. snip-...

At 9:30 a.m. this day, as the American army raised the Stars & Stripes over Chapultepec Castle during the Mexican-American War, it simultaneously carried out a mass hanging of 30 Irish deserters who had gone over to Santa Anna — the Saint Patrick’s Battalion, or the San Patricios. Irish had been migrating to the United States en masse even well before the Great Famine got rolling in 1845. And for those of that great migration wave who wound up in the service fighting the Mexican-American War, there was a hint of deja vu — an Anglo and Protestant imperial power...

On Saturday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” State Department Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus discussed negotiations for a peace deal in Afghanistan and stated that “there is no military solution to the end of the war in Afghanistan.” Ortagus said, [relevant remarks begin around 3:50] “We have had 19 years of fighting in Afghanistan, 19. … This is the hardest stuff that we do in diplomacy, to get to the end of a war. We know that there is no military end to the — there is no military solution to the end of the war in Afghanistan....

Trump won by 15%! Upstate NY. Claudia Tenney lost by less than 1%(.08). We should win it back but at the same time we should realize the voters are fickle and we need to be on our toes. We'll get it back in spite of ourselves. Thank POTUS.

How is it not Armageddon, we mused, staring into the darkened sky. Or the ninth plague. I woke up in the morning wondering about the dark red rays coming from behind the curtain. While I expected the darkened sky, the degree of darkness and the fact that I couldn’t smell fire surprised me. Northern California fires have become increasingly common over the last decade as a consequence of mismanaging the environment. Native Americans staged controlled burns to safeguard their villages and create favorable hunting conditions. We failed to emulate that practice, and, as even Mother Jones concedes, so much fuel...

At a campaign rally in Nevada, President Trump repeated unsubstantiated claims that mail-in ballots would contribute to widespread voter fraud in the November election. “The Democrats are trying to rig this election because that’s the only way they’re going to win,” he said. In a meandering 90-minute speech, Trump touched on some of his campaign's themes, including protecting the Second Amendment, securing the U.S.-Mexico border, ending ongoing civil unrest and beating his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden. "Let's face it - Joe is shot," he said. "He's going to be locked up someplace, and the radical left is going to be...

hardcover copy of "In Defense of Looting" will run you 21 bucks at Amazon and 28 bucks at Barnes and Noble. That’s just how capitalism works for the distribution and sales of a product from one of the biggest publishing companies in the world that’s part of the Lagardère empire. Why is the largest publishing company in France pushing what Publishers Weekly called, “a provocative, Marxist-informed defense of looting” to Americans? Because it makes money. Learn why private property is just a social construct for only 21 bucks. "In Defense of Looting" quickly ended up a major topic of conversation...

[Note: This piece is heavy on video content.] The President spoke for two solid hours last night and looked as if he could go on for another two if it weren’t getting so late. He is truly the Paul McCartney of American politics today. Some of the speech was read from a TelePrompter, but just as much of it was Trump speaking extemporaneously. Meanwhile, his opponent, Creepy Uncle McWifeMolester, who can’t speak for 5 minutes without an intervention from his elder-abusing handlers, spent the day back in his basement, recuperating from his brief trip to New York’s 9/11 memorial on...
