The streets of Britain have become swamped with tons of rubbish and clothes to be recycled in coronavirus quarantine clear-outs. Councils have warned of a 'wave of waste' coming from homes across the country. As most of the nation is in quarantine, families are generating much more food leftovers. And many are using the spare time to carry out home and garden makeovers, creating even more rubbish and recycling. On top of that, people are even dumping items outside charity shops – building mountains of clothes and bric-a-brac despite the fact they are not open. Cases of fly-tipping across Britain...

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was aghast Thursday night after receiving a letter in which President Trump accused him of being a “bad” senator and asserted that Schumer was vulnerable to a primary challenge from within his own party. “No wonder AOC [U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez] and others are thinking about running against you in the primary. If they did, they would likely win,” Trump wrote. The president’s letter was apparent retaliation after Schumer wrote to the White House earlier in the day, criticizing Trump’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak. The Democrat responded during an appearance on MSNBC.

Week-long curfews, the curtailing of civil liberties, shuttered shops and restaurants, apps that track peoples’ movements, and unprecedented public debt are themes we might encounter in dystopian movies. But these days, with the German government imposing ever stricter measures to help curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, such flicks pale in comparison with reality. Yet most Germans of voting age approve of the measures imposed, according to a survey commissioned by public broadcaster ARD and conducted by infratest dimap. Across the political spectrum, Germans deem the steps taken appropriate. Indeed, 72% of those surveyed said they are satisfied with...

"Blessed are the poor in spirit . . . those who mourn . . .the gentle . . . those who hunger and thirst for righteousness . . . the merciful . . . the pure in heart . . . the peacemakers . . . [and] those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness" (Matt. 5:3-10). By the world’s standards, Christ’s definition of happiness is shocking and contradictory! A quiz in a popular magazine characterized happy people as those who enjoy other people but aren't self-sacrificing, who refuse to participate in negative feelings or emotions, and who...

The fog of war obscures much about the novel coronavirus pandemic. But two facts seem absolutely certain. First, China’s Communist authorities have lied, concealed and misled about the origins of the epidemic and the toll of the virus in China. Second, the World Health Organization has acted as Beijing’s handmaid. The result: The global toll of the tragedy will be much greater than it need have been. We shouldn’t be surprised that the Beijing regime lies about the epidemic: It lies about, well, everything. From economic data to air pollution figures, the Communist Party doctors information to protect and promote...

President Trump fired back at Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., in a scathing letter, responding to criticism of his handling of the coronavirus crisis, telling Schumer: "I never knew how bad of a senator you are." "Thank you for your Democrat public relations letter and incorrect sound bites, which are wrong in every way," Trump said in the letter released by the White House, referring to Schumer's coronavirus criticism earlier Thursday. "As you are aware, Vice President Pence is in charge of the Task Force. By almost all accounts, he has done a spectacular job." Trump’s firery response came...

California Gov. Gavin Newsom sees an “opportunity” to use the coronavirus outbreak to usher in new progressive policies in his state and elsewhere in the country, he said Wednesday. “Absolutely, we see this as an opportunity reshape the way we do business and how we govern,” he said during a virtual press conference. The remark came near the end of a long, winding answer to a question about whether he saw “the potential” in the crisis for “a new progressive era” in state and national politics.

And, Trump revealed he had again tested negative for coronavirus. "We have seen Americans unite with incredible selflessness and compassion," Trump began. April 03 2020 Friday of the Fifth Week of Lent Reading 1 Jer 20:10-13 I hear the whisperings of many: “Terror on every side! Denounce! let us denounce him!” All those who were my friends are on the watch for any misstep of mine. “Perhaps he will be trapped; then we can prevail, and take our vengeance on him.” But the LORD is with me, like a mighty champion: my persecutors will stumble, they will not triumph. In their failure they will be put to utter shame, to lasting, unforgettable confusion. O LORD of hosts, you who test the...

If it says "Made in China" I'm not buying...and no, that's not racist. The CCP are an enemy, they don't even care about their own people. The CCP must be crushed, so long as their economy continues to grow it won't happen. We have far too many products related to our national security coming from there. Buy American/British first...then elsewhere - just not China.
