INDIANAPOLIS — Governor Eric Holcomb has ordered Hoosiers to stay home as the state and country continue to try and fight the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19. “The next two weeks are critical if we are to slow the spread of COVID-19, and we must slow the spread. You must be part of the solution, not the problem,” said Gov. Holcomb.

A federal judge in Los Angeles has rejected a plea from prominent convicted lawyer Michael Avenatti to be released from jail because of the risk he could contract the coronavirus. U.S. District Court Judge James Selna turned aside Avenatti’s claims that a bout he had with pneumonia last September puts him in grave danger if COVID-19 begins to rampage through federal prisons like the Manhattan detention center where he’s currently locked up. Avenatti, who was convicted by a New York federal court jury last month on charges of trying to extort shoemaking giant Nike and is facing other federal charges...

Oh my! Here is Joe Biden, trying to upstage President Trump by doing his own “Coronavirus Briefing,” and it goes horribly wrong! Biden is clearly reading canned remarks off a teleprompter. But then the teleprompter appears to fail. Biden starts mumbling and stumbling. He has no idea what to say. You can see him gesturing with his hand. Good grief. President Trump walks out literally every day now, speaks clearly and takes dozens of questions, answering without any help from a teleprompter. . . .

Regarding chloroquine, the science is on his side, not the New York Times'.At Thursday’s White House press briefing, President Trump and FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn announced that the FDA has approved the “compassionate use” of the antimalarial drug chloroquine to treat patients infected with Coronavirus 2019 (“COVID-19”). Under extreme or exigent circumstances, the FDA may permit physicians to medicate patients with experimental drugs. The term “compassionate use” ordinarily refers to dosing a patient with a drug that has not been approved by the FDA for any purpose.

We call Clay Jenkins, Howdy Doody, around here, and Buffalo Nancy is controlling his strings, while Dr. Phillip Huang is acting like Clarribelle the clown. Howdy and Claribelle show bad sanitary conditions around 3:00 minutes in, with a unsanitary microphone exchange while Howdy lectures us.

Gov. Tony Evers on Monday said he is preparing to order Wisconsinites to stay in their homes starting this week to fend off the coronavirus outbreak that is ravaging populations worldwide. The governor's order will require nearly all workers in the state to work remotely or lose their jobs by closing all workplaces that aren't deemed essential. Restaurants and bars may stay open but only for delivery and curbside pick-up orders. The Democratic governor made the announcement on Twitter just three days after saying he did not think he would have to issue such an order but that he would...

...The highlights so far: ONE-TIME CHECKS TO AMERICANS The measure would provide a quick, one-time stipend of about $1,200 per individual, $2,400 for couples, and $3,000 for family of four. The money would cut off at higher income levels. PAYCHECK SUPPORT An estimated $350 billion would be provided for small businesses to keep making payroll. Companies with 500 or fewer employees could tap up to $10 million each in forgivable small business loans to keep paychecks flowing. UNEMPLOYMENT EXPANSION Establishes a new, much more generous unemployment benefit by adding $600 per week to normal state benefits for up to four...

President Trump recently stated that illegal immigrants will not be deported if they get tested for coronavirus. While speaking at the White House Sunday, the president said U.S. hospitals will test everyone with symptoms regardless of their immigration status. He added that deportations of infected immigrants will be delayed to prevent further spread of the virus. White House officials have said immigration enforcement agents will not be looking for illegal immigrants in hospitals during the ongoing outbreak. President Trump went on to say his goal is to identify all cases of coronavirus and defeat the illness. Central American migrants seeking...

Since the advent of coronavirus, America has had little time or energy for, or interest in anything else. We try to keep up with the latest mortality rates, the number of infected, the spread, and all the other moving parts associated with the virus, and I do mean moving parts because the situation changes so rapidly, sometimes on an hourly basis. Well now, we at least have a plan of action and as painful as it may be, it seems the only meaningful path we have open to us. I have decided to shelter in place for the next three...

I've always thought myself a bit of a cynic. So when I heard Peter Shiff comment that the Fed will elect to buy stocks, ushering in back door Communism, I mentally backed off the idea a half-step. Now, with the Fed offering just that reveals the game that the Fed, along with the Democrats in Congress are playing. They wish to execute a Communist takeover. Why else would Democrats hold up aid to Americans when we are most vulnerable? Pelosi has been screaming about nationalizing the healthcare industry. Schumer, on the other hand, wants to nationalize the power grid. This...

HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Supreme Court dismissed a lawsuit filed by a gun shop that challenged Gov. Tom Wolf’s authority to shutter businesses determined to be “non-life-sustaining,” paving the way for enforcement to begin Monday. Without comment, a majority of the state’s high court late Sunday denied the petition by a gun shop, a gun purchaser and a law firm to have Wolf’s shutdown order thrown out. The lawsuit had claimed Wolf’s edict violated the Second Amendment right to bear arms and other constitutional rights.

Margaret Novins talked to me on her cellphone from a hospital bed at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, N.J. She had been ill since March 8, toughing it out through fatigue, a cough and fevers that brought on vicious chills for five evenings straight. Finally, on March 15, she went to an urgent care center and, on March 16, to an emergency room. The attending there called it “conversational dyspnea.” “I couldn’t breathe,” she said. Novins, who shared her lab tests and medication list, got her diagnosis March 19. Next to the entry for SARS-CoV-2 were the words “Detected Critical.”...

It has been one week since I have been quarantined. Well, since I and my four sisters, three brothers, fiancé, and dad have been quarantined. All 10 of us, self-quarantined under one roof in order to avoid infection. My mother is immunocompromised so she shipped off to my grandparents a week ago in the middle of nowhere, North Carolina in hopes to avoid more people and stay healthier there. If you are following along, that means eight kids, plus one fiancé, under one roof with only dad home, who is preoccupied working from home in the dining room most of...
