A senior pastor of the Grace Assembly of God church is among those from the church who have tested positive for the coronavirus. In a letter on Thursday (Feb 13) to members of the church, Pastor Wilson Teo told members of the congregation that he has been warded in the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) since Feb 11. Seven confirmed coronavirus cases are linked to cluster associated with the church. The first two cases were announced on Wednesday, while the other five were announced on Thursday. At least three of them work at the church, which has a branch...

The Chinese company Huawei can secretly tap into communications through the networking equipment it sells globally, a U.S. official charged as the White House stepped up efforts to persuade allies to ban the gear from next-generation cellular networks. The U.S. national security adviser, Robert O’Brien, made the statement at an Atlantic Council forum on Tuesday evening after The Wall Street Journal quoted him as saying Huawei can “access sensitive and personal information” in systems it sells and maintains globally. O’Brien did not provide any evidence to support the claim. U.S. officials have long argued that Huawei is duty-bound by Chinese...

California High-Speed Rail Authority on Wednesday bumped its overall cost estimate for completing the rail line between San Francisco and Los Angeles to $80.3 billion, blaming inflationary increases and better cost projections... After years of embarrassing cost overruns and delays, managers of California’s ambitious bullet-train project insisted that they are on pace to meet a preliminary 2022 federal deadline for laying track along the first segment in the Central Valley. But that will use up virtually all the money the project has available. The authority’s latest business plan comes amid unrelenting pressure from state lawmakers, some of whom want to...

Democrat presidential hopeful Joe Biden spoke in Hudson, New Hampshire, this week and told attendees that it is “rational” to prohibit “50 clips in a weapon.” Ryan Saavedra quoted Biden maligning the absence of “a rational policy” that makes it illegal to have “20, 30, 40, 50 clips in a weapon.” Also in Hudson, Biden intimated that gun owners who cling to their AR-15s and AK-47s are no match for the government. He made reference to gun owners who quote Thomas Jefferson’s statement on the tension that exists between free men and the rulers who wish to subjugate them, a...

Two women in DeKalb County, Missouri, are facing charges after they admitted to locking a 9-year-old with autism in a bunk-bed cage for hours, officials said. The child’s mother, 35-year-old Katrina England, and her wife, 39-year-old Debra England, were both charged with child abuse and child endangerment, KTLA sister station WDAF in Kansas City reported. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said on Tuesday they received information from the Children’s Division about possible abuse and neglect of the child, who has been diagnosed with autism. The Children’s Division told officials the case also involved unsanitary living conditions and possible drug use...

A day can’t go by without an arrest of a child predator broadcast online. Several of these predators were hunted by a scarcely known group of specially trained law enforcement operatives that were recruited from the ranks of the U.S. military. The operatives all had something in common; they bore wounds from their service to the Nation. Starting in late 2013, with little fanfare, this select group of wounded warriors deployed throughout the United States with a new mission, tracking down child predators and rescuing children. With the advent of the internet, child exploitation took on a new form. Gone...

President Trump could be the unlikely benefactor of Andrew Yang ending his White House bid — a new poll finding he is the second-most popular alternative among the Yang Gang. Of the 200 Yang supporters surveyed in the hours after the businessman threw in the towel at Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary, 11 percent of people said they would now support re-electing Trump, the Stanford University/Reality Check study obtained by The Post found. Democrat socialist Bernie Sanders was still the preferred alternative with 33 percent of the disbanded “Yang Gang,” but the survey showed supporters of the zany tech entrepreneur were...

Despite being the scourge of the globalist community for daring to leave the Paris Climate Accord, the U.S. appears to be leading the way in reducing its "carbon footprint." According to a report released on Tuesday by the International Energy Agency (IEA), "The United States saw the largest decline in energy-related CO2 emissions in 2019 on a country basis."

You know politics have gotten weird when a liberal New York Times columnist begs Democrat voters to abandon Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in favor of nominating Michael Bloomberg to lead the Democratic ticket. Times columnist Thomas L. Friedman wrote a wacky Feb. 11, op-ed headlined “Paging Michael Bloomberg.” In the piece, Friedman suggested Bloomberg, owner of Bloomberg News, was more capable of appealing “to independents, moderate Republicans and suburban women” than self-proclaimed democratic socialist Sanders. Friedman was determined to get Democrats not to nominate Sanders: “Please, Democrats, don’t tell me you need Sanders’s big, ill-thought-through, revolutionary grand schemes to get...

President Trump’s popularity with Christians in America is off the charts. In addition to his unyeilding support for Israel, he is the most pro-life president in the history of the United States. Pastors and priests from a variety of churches across America have praised Trump for his courage to stand up for Christianity in the face of criticism and hatred from the left. Shawn Bolz, a prominent pastor in Los Angeles who has prophesied about many things from Kanye West to President Trump, told Fox News his number one mission is to make hearing from God normal for everyone. ======================================================================...

The U.S. House has voted to remove the deadline on ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment in an attempt to revive the amendment. The 232-183 vote fell largely along party lines with five Republicans supporting the measure and zero Democrats opposing it. Changing the deadline is a key part of one route that some ERA proponents believe would lead to the amendment becoming a part of the Constitution, but the path forward is uncertain. The proposed amendment says simply, "Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account...

Manchester, NH - If you thought that President Trump was just going to sit idle and let Democrats soak up all the 2020 election coverage, I’d say put the crack pipe down. Trump descended into Manchester on Monday night, on the eve of the Granite State’s primary and just in time to spoil the Democrats’ media spotlight as they raced to reach as many voters as possible. The Democratic Party is fractured. And Trump is making sure he soaks up any opportunity to show he’s in firm control with a united Republican Party, doling out his many economic successes. Trump...

I’ve written before about the problems on BART trains which include rising crime and a substantial increase in the number of homeless people using the trains as a moving shelter (and occasionally a bathroom). Not surprisingly, those and other problems have led to a substantial decrease in ridership. Though trains continue to fill during rush hour, fewer people are riding BART to museums, parks or shopping centers.Outside the peak commute times, ridership plummeted — from 62.2 million in 2015 to 52.7 million last year…A recent BART survey of 662 commuters in five counties may help explain the evening and...

When the coronavirus began to spread in Wuhan, a doctor named Li Wenliang issued the first warning about an outbreak. Chinese authorities responded by showing up at his house in the middle of the night and forcing him to sign a document stating that he had broken the law by spreading rumors online. Dr. Li later died from the virus he had warned about. But Dr. Li isn’t the only voice China has attempted to silence as it tries to maintain control over information about the virus. When the outbreak began, a video blogger named Chen Qiushi went to the...

Trump’s on the phone right now with Zelensky, like, “By any chance, has Mike Bloomberg ever leaned on any of your prosecutors?”And then, before he can answer: “Because I’ve got the next shipment of military aid right here and I just want to know how soon I should send it out.” The sudden decline of Joe Biden and the sudden rise of Mike Bloomberg still hasn’t quite reached the point where Bloomy has been able to pass him in any national polls. He got close in a Quinnipiac poll taken after Iowa and before New Hampshire, finishing with 15...

Prosecutors on Monday charged 20-year-old Alvin Thomas with two counts of first-degree murder for the shooting deaths of 36-year-old Huayi Bian and 38-year-old Weizhon Xiong in a parking lot on the 2000 block of South Wells around 2:13 a.m. Sunday. Responding police officers tracked Thomas down by following a set of bloody footprints from the crime scene to the 2100 block of South Archer, according to an officer who is familiar with the case. In August 2018, Police arrested Thomas, 19-year-old Herbert Sanderfer, and 22-year-old Dijon Williams near the Belmont Red Line station. A grand jury indicted all of the...

President Trump tweeted out earlier Thursday that he was getting ready to meet with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, but also took a whack at Cuomo’s brother, who works at CNN. “I’m seeing Governor Cuomo today at The White House,” Trump tweeted. “He must understand that National Security far exceeds politics. New York must stop all of its unnecessary lawsuits & harassment, start cleaning itself up, and lowering taxes.” Trump added: “Build relationships, but don’t bring Fredo!." Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump I’m seeing Governor Cuomo today at The White House. He must understand that National Security far exceeds politics....
