Two women in DeKalb County, Missouri, are facing charges after they admitted to locking a 9-year-old with autism in a bunk-bed cage for hours, officials said. The childs mother, 35-year-old Katrina England, and her wife, 39-year-old Debra England, were both charged with child abuse and child endangerment, KTLA sister station WDAF in Kansas City reported.
The DeKalb County Sheriffs Office said on Tuesday they received information from the Childrens Division about possible abuse and neglect of the child, who has been diagnosed with autism.
The Childrens Division told officials the case also involved unsanitary living conditions and possible drug use in the home.

I guess this can still happen, even if “Heather has two Mommies”.
Wait, what? I swear, I run into a wait, what? moment on about every other news story these days. I should know better by now, but the insanity of the present culture still takes me by surprise at times.
Two angry lesbians. That is why gay people should not be allowed to adopt. Or maybe the child was the natural born child of one of them, and once she got with her girlfriend, she got talked into this.

I think I see the problem here.
I’d sooner trust Mommy’s new boyfriend than two bull dykes.
ditto
Yeah, just a regular “couple” alright...
Well, back in 2004 John Edwards kept speechifying about the horrors of, "Two Americas." I guess we now see the horrors of two Englands.
I am so sick of these pretenders ....ButtGig and his “husband”, this female and her “wife”. Gimme a break. The godless heathen agenda continues.
One day these two women will have a LOT of explaining to do when they meet their Maker.
1. They KNOW that living out their lesbian lifestyle is morally wrong. Same-sex liasons/phonymarriages might be legal but that does NOT make them right.
2. The bigger crime is their treatment of the autistic boy. THAT might get them a lifetime in hell.
Well in some countries same-sex "marriages" are legal and considered "right."
But for this Catholic their sins are MORTAL (the worst kind). The worst sin, for me, is their treatment of the boy--putting him in a CAGE?! Wow, I that was HEINOUS!
I think I see the problem..................
....unsanitary living conditions.....
Was the wife’s husband dropping used sanitary napkins on the bathroom floor?

“Missouri Couple Charged After Admitting to Locking 9-Year-Old With Autism in Bunk Bed Cage”
cool! we had bunk-beds as kids, but not bunk-bed CAGES!
Sorry for the double post
“Mom” looked like the portly daughter of Marilyn Manson.
“Wife” looked like the angry faced, clip haired daughter of Liz Warren.
I am hearing about such locked away disabled children more and more. Maybe this isn’t all that rare. How tragic.
Is it really so difficult to surrender one’s child to the state if you can’t deal with the behaviors?
Another day in the life of a perfectly normal American married couple . . .
I've worked with special needs kids in the past and they can be VERY difficult to work with and control. Often they are surprisingly strong.
Some need very little sleep and cannot be unsupervised for ANY length of time.
I do not know how a family could take an autistic child running loose in the house all hours of the day.
Just when does one sleep?
Not to justify putting them in cages but I could see people using that as a last resort.
Because honestly, the only other option is to put them in a group home where they can be supervised all the time.
But the horror stories I've heard of group homes, too......
I don't know what the answer is.
