Damning evidence exists of Attorney General Dana Nessel's hostility toward traditional marriage.ANN ARBOR, Michigan, January 17, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) — Watching, listening, tracking, and compiling secret dossiers on dissidents until they are finally accused and prosecuted — these are the police-state tactics one might associate with an authoritarian regime in a World War II movie. Yet, these are the very methods the Thomas More Law Center (TMLC) has found are being used by Michigan attorney general Dana Nessel acting in concert with the Michigan Department of Civil Rights and the Southern Poverty Law Center. On February 19, 2019, the Southern Poverty...

Desperate Democrats trotted out the same baseless and absurd arguments they’ve been making for months at the opening of President Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate Tuesday, in their endless campaign to overturn the results of the 2016 presidential election. The soporific debate over what procedures to adopt proved a tepid bore (with some exceptions) as Democrats introduced an endless stream of amendments that were destined to go nowhere fast. The first votes made it clear that Republican senators would adopt Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s resolution setting forth the order and parameters of the trial: openhttps://www.foxnews.com/opinion/gregg-jarrett-in-trump-impeachment-trial-democrats-continue-inflammatory-accusations-with-no-basis-in-facting statements first, then written...

A startling message on a 1,200-year-old granite slab created by the Vikings appears to predict climate change, experts say. The research, published in Futharc: International Journal of Runic Studies, looks at the message that was written after Viking warrior Varin’s son died in battle in the 9th century, foreseeing a new “climate crisis,” similar to the weather conditions that happened nearly 300 years prior. “This study proposes instead that the inscription deals with an anxiety triggered by a son’s death and the fear of a new climate crisis similar to the catastrophic one after 536 [AD],” researchers, led by Per...

RICHMOND, VA—Governor Ralph Northam condemned the group of gun owners who assembled yesterday, calling the concept "simply un-American." "A militia assembling to defend their rights against tyranny is a dangerous first in American history," he said to a group of reporters, still teary-eyed from the tragic lack of violence at yesterday's rally. "This is not what America was founded on. It is not what our forefathers would have wanted." "This well-regulated militia having the right to bear arms is diametrically opposed to everything the Founding Fathers wanted for our country." The governor said that Washington, Jefferson, and "those other guys"...

It looks like PETA wants to enter the octagon with Conor McGregor and “Cowboy” Cerrone this weekend. The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals called out the famous UFC fighters on Twitter after McGregor and competitor Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone had a friendly back-and-forth about the latter’s python jacket. The exchange, which took place during a press conference with the two fighters before their upcoming fight Saturday, started with McGregor interrupting Cerrone to compliment his coat. “That’s one hell of a coat, Donald, my God. I got to give credit where credit is due,” McGregor starts, before asking why kind...

Joe Biden told Vice News that he would not seek to deport drunk driving illegal migrants. Immigration agents should “only arrest for the purpose of dealing with a felony that’s committed [in the United States], and I don’t count drunk driving as a felony,” Biden told his interviewers Jan. 20. “We’re not going to deport anybody who has not — in this country — committed a felony in this country. In this country, committed a felony,” he said. But many Americans have been killed by drunk-driving illegals, and DUIs are commonplace among illegals. For example, In fiscal 2019, the Immigration...

Border guards in Russia’s north west last week arrested a man who had set up a bogus border outpost with Finland and taken thousands of euros from migrants for what they thought was a journey through the woods to the European Union. The man, who was only identified as a citizen of one of the former Soviet Union republics, put up border posts in the forest outside St Petersburg and charged four men from South Asia more than 10,000 euros (£8,400) for his services for smuggling them into neighbouring Finland, Russia’s Border Guard Service said on Wednesday.

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign is using stark imagery in an Iowa mailer that appears to pitch him as a bulwark against the Iranian government, including Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, with whom former President Barack Obama negotiated the Iran nuclear agreement. HuffPost obtained a four-page piece of campaign literature that the Biden campaign sent to voters in Des Moines. The mailer’s front features a dark, red-hued drawing of an Iranian tank in the foreground. A soldier standing atop the tank is saluting a row of Iranian military officials led by President Rouhani. A framed photo of Ayatollah Ali...

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) this month released its findings from a recent study on physical inactivity levels across the U.S. The study, which combined data from 2015 through 2018, is based on telephone interviews conducted by both federal and state health officials. Overall, all states and territories had more than 15 percent of adults who were considered physically inactive. Physical inactivity was determined if they responded “no” to the question: “During the past month, other than your regular job, did you participate in any physical activities or exercises such as running, calisthenics, golf, gardening, or walking...

FULTON, N.Y. -- Tom Heppell was behind the counter, starting to get an order ready Monday afternoon at Slice 'N' Go Deli in the city of Fulton when suddenly a tractor-trailer slammed into the shop. There weren’t any customers inside at the time, but his wife, Sue Heppell, was sitting a few feet away. The Heppells, who have run the deli shop at the corner of Interstate 481 and Division Street for more than three decades, said they had no idea what was happening in that moment.

Dear X, I offer you the warmest greetings in the name of Jesus, I am writing out of a concern for you and a lot of others of your generation. You were born into a world which was already well into a “sexual revolution”, and this has presented you with perplexing questions and issues which my generation (Baby Boomers) didn’t have to bear as much as yours. I come as a friend, and concerned Christian, in Jesus name. I want you to understand that I know why there is such a gap between my generation and yours. I didn’t grow...

Three rockets were fired at the US embassy in Baghdad overnight as security services continued firing live ammunition at anti-government protesters in the city. Bernie Sanders canceled an Iowa rally scheduled for Wednesday. Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar and Michael Bennet didn’t bother scheduling any campaign stops this week - they’re all stuck in the Senate for the foreseeable future due to the impeachment trial. But even as four of Joe Biden’s presidential campaign rivals were pulled off the campaign trail this week to sit as silent jurors in Washington, he’s hardly got an advantage. While he largely has the Iowa stage to himself this week, the former vice president is playing a starring role in the impeachment saga along with his son, Hunter. Just...

An Iranian lawmaker apparently has placed a $3 million bounty on President Trump’s head. Ahmad Hamzeh made the declaration Tuesday during a speech to parliament in Tehran, although it’s unclear whether it has any backing from Iran’s top leaders, Reuters reported, citing the ISNA news agency. “On behalf of the people of Kerman province, we will pay a $3 million reward in cash to whoever kills Trump,” Hamzeh was quoted as saying.

On Friday, the Trump administration released their annual report to Congress on White House Office Personnel. It includes the name, status, salary and position title of all 377 White House employees. The essence of democracy is free speech, and the essence of free speech is assertion. For instance ... 1. Privately owned firearms should be confiscated. 2. Everybody should own a firearm. 3. No Republican's any good. 4. No Democrat's any good. 5. "The current president ... is a threat to democracy." 6. "House Democrats' novel theory of 'abuse of power' as an impeachable offense subverts constitutional standards ... " And so on -- as Senate Republicans (see Assertion 6, above) counterpose their own set of assertions to Democratic claims (see Assertion 5, from The New York Times on Jan. 20)...
