The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) this month released its findings from a recent study on physical inactivity levels across the U.S. The study, which combined data from 2015 through 2018, is based on telephone interviews conducted by both federal and state health officials.
Overall, all states and territories had more than 15 percent of adults who were considered physically inactive. Physical inactivity was determined if they responded no to the question: During the past month, other than your regular job, did you participate in any physical activities or exercises such as running, calisthenics, golf, gardening, or walking for exercise?
The South had the highest levels of physical inactivity, with 28 percent of adults responding no to the above question. Coming in second was the Northeast, at 25.6 percent. The Midwest and the West followed behind at 25 percent and 20.5 percent, respectively.

It shouldnt be the CDC doing this (and they based it on percentage of population being obese). It should be the welfare department and be based on percentage of population on welfare.

Seems more due to climate than culture. People tend to get out and move around more when the weather allows it.
“It should be the welfare department.”
You mean the DNC?
It should be the welfare department and be based on percentage of population on welfare.
There could be a correlation.
In the past month.... can you say WINTER? I dont think a lot of gardening is being done in the midwest about now. Just not a “gym” nut here. Could be we ate all working too....
Arizona is very low on the physical inactivity index. We’re just going to have to try harder to be lazy.
They have maps for Hispanics and blacks, too.
I find the mere existence of the maps to be inexcusably racist.
Weeellll, there ya go. Don't get much more Oh-Fishul than that!
When it’s sleepy time down South...
The CDC admitted on their website they had no idea how Ebola was transferred.
They were likely correct on D.C. The demonrats haven’t accomplished much of anything the past 3 years.
>>During the past month, other than your regular job
Working hard or hardly working?
“In the past month.... can you say WINTER?”
I’m not terribly motivated to go swimming in a semi-heated pool from freezing weather.
Well, I’m doing my part.
How about a CDC study of the most worthless states?
Perhaps people in the South are more honest than people in the West.
Well those maps certainly tell a story.
I'm tired of this and we have to put an end to it.
The left uses this trick all the time. They post articles such as 'Obesity BY STATE', 'Lowest Graduation Rates BY STATE', 'Highest Number of Welfare Recipients BY STATE', etc.
Leftist Democrats use these 'studies' to place all the problems in REPUBLICAN STATES when the real problems are DEMOCRAT-RUN CITIES.
The problems are found in DEMOCRAT-RUN CITES NOT REPUBLICAN STATES.
