For many millions, it is as integral a part of Christmas Day as roast turkey, mince pies and exchanging presents. Tomorrow, families all over Britain will gather around the television at 3pm to watch the Queen's annual message. It is always one of the most watched programmes on TV and this year, with Her Majesty's acknowledgement of the 'bumpy' path the Royal Family and the nation has experienced in the past 12 months, it is likely to be more compelling viewing than ever. After so many broadcasts the Queen, of course, is comfortably familiar in front of the camera, but...

While there is no evidence that President Trump has ever harmed a kitten, Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Mass) alleges that "Donald Trump would step on a cute little kitten to get what he wants. I have never done that. I would never do that. That's why I'd be a better president than him." Warren bolstered her contention by citing "how cruelly Trump has treated the affable, but doddering former Vice-President Joe Biden. Joe may not always know where he is or that extorting a foreign government to help out his son is wrong, but he doesn't deserve to...

Colin Kaepernick may not have an NFL job, but the social activist and former San Francisco 49ers quarterback is proving he's still marketable as his new $110 Nike sneaker bearing his image sold out within minutes of its release on Monday. Nike sold the shoes at its own stores, select retailers and via the SNKRS app. The sneakers can be acquired for resale, but one website, FlightClub.com, is asking as much as $950 for a pair. Some retailers have agreed to donate profits to charities supported by the outspoken Kaepernick. Nike has not released sales figures, but the Air Force...

Virginia House Del. Ibraheem Samirah introduced a bill that would override local zoning officials to permit multi-family housing in every neighborhood, changing the character of quiet suburbs.Oregon passed a similar bill, following moves by cities such as Minneapolis; Austin, Texas; and Seattle.Proponents say urban lifestyles are better for the environment and that suburbs are bastions of racial segregation. Posted on December 23, 2019 by Msgr. Charles Pope Have You Found the Perfect Gift Yet? Jesus said many paradoxical things. For example: Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it (Mat 10:39). For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it (Mat 16:25).The basic rule of life the Lord announces is that when we want something too much, or very insistently on our own terms, we can never possess it. Rather, it possesses us. Only when we...

Even Florida man is getting in the holiday spirit. A 67-year-old merrymaker was busted in St. Petersburg for handing out marijuana Saturday night “because it was Christmas,” authorities said. Richard Ellis Spurrer was confronted by officers around 11 p.m. after he was allegedly spotted handing out weed to passersby, news station WFLA reported. Spurrer — who had 45 grams of marijuana on him — chocked up his generosity to the holidays, telling cops that the hand-outs were “because it was Christmas,” according to Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

For the religious among us, at least those professing to be Christians, Christmas is a time of reflection on the birth of the Savior, signified in hearts by love and wishes of peace and goodwill towards peoples worldwide, and sometimes on lawns and rooftops by manger scenes and large illuminated stars. Under the best conditions, for Christians and non-Christians alike, the Christmas season is a time of peace, love, and of sharing home, hearth, and meals with family and friends. For some, it is a time to give back to the community, to help the homeless and provide blankets, coats,...

If you ever loved America don't ever vote Democrat. That party defines the term "Organized Crime". The Clinton's pay for play is staggering. Obama sold our principal seaport to the Chinese and Hillary sold our Uranium to the Russians to name a few. They have encroached on every one of our freedoms with overreaching laws that increase their power and diminish ours. The Dems want open borders in the belief that migrants will vote for them without considering that it is destroying our economy. They are a rabid group that will do anything for power. From KKK to Kavanaugh to impeachment their...

I still vividly recall watching the live announcement in September of 1990 by the International Olympic Committee awarding the Centennial Olympic Games (held in the summer of 1996) to the city of Atlanta. As the boisterous cheers after the initial announcement demonstrated, much of the whole state of Georgia was giddy with excitement. From Gainesville to Savannah, Olympic venues were built or otherwise prepared all over the state, and Georgia comedian Jeff Foxworthy promised the world that the Georgia Olympics would have its own distinct Southern flavor. I’m not much of a fan of the Olympics, so I didn’t get...

One of the very many reasons I would never vote Left (Democrat) is because of the child-like view of the world embraced by those with this ideology. Children, or adults with childish notions, running the world are a recipe for disaster. Would any adult with his head even modestly screwed on really want to have a world run by the likes of this disturbed teenager, Greta — the leftist Time Magazine's person of the year? This is particularly true in the economic part of our world — a world that deeply impacts each of our lives, every day of the...

[snip]But reforming an old, entrenched system had its price. The system pushed back with impeachment, prompting the elected chief executive to respond: “I impeach the criminal conspirators.” It may sound similar to the current Washington saga and House Democrats’ impeachment of President Donald Trump. But this was nearly a hundred years ago in 1913 in Albany, New York, where Gov. William Sulzer took on the Empire State’s version of the “swamp.” It was known as Tammany Hall.

The nearly impossible has now become a near certainty. After weeks of choreographed indignation by Democratic leaders in Congress and “witnesses” offering no proof of impeachable wrongdoing; despite headlines and columnists screaming for his immediate ouster; and notwithstanding 24/7 attacks from media grumps still sore about 2016 President Trump is not only back in the game, but on his game. impeachment is starting to give the president’s poll numbers a shot of political adrenalin … and his detractors a fresh jolt of reality. Recent polling from Fox News confirms that the president’s job approval ratings (often a leading indicator of...
