"Starting January 1, 2020, California will tax legal citizens if they don’t have health insurance. Why? The state needs to come up with $98,000,000 to pay for free health insurance for illegal aliens. Why do Democrat’s (sic) keep putting illegals first?" tweeted Ryan Fournier, founder and co-chairman of Students for Trump.

Medi-Cal reimbursements to doctors and hospitals do not cover actual costs for care. So they do cost shifting and charge those who pay or have private health insurance more to cover the shortfall. Also illegals do not give a social security number when getting a driver’s license. This was part of the Welfare Reform Act. Don’t pay child support they track you down through your social security number and suspend your driver’s license. This only applies to citizens in California as illegals are exempt. Sucks to be a citizen in California.
I have a better plan for health care for these criminals: deport them all. No exceptions. Let their home countries provide their health care. Problem solved - and money saved.
